Abstract

This study aims to analyze financial risk management in the face of market volatility in the era of global digital transformation. The research approach applied is a literature-based study, which relies on written sources as the primary basis for data collection and analysis. The systematic compilation of relevant information is carried out through a review of various scientific literature, including books, journals, articles, research reports, and other relevant literature. The collected information is processed using a content analysis approach to identify certain patterns, relationships, and important information related to financial risk management, digital market volatility, and global digital transformation. The results show that digital transformation has increased market connectivity, accelerated the flow of information, and given rise to various new risks that contribute to increased market volatility. Financial risk management plays a crucial role in identifying, measuring, and controlling these risks through the use of technology, strengthening governance, and adaptive mitigation strategies. This study confirms that the implementation of digital technology into risk management systems is a crucial factor in maintaining financial stability and increasing organizational resilience amidst increasingly complex global market dynamics.

Abstract

Increasing competition in the pest control service industry requires companies to improve service quality while maintaining customer retention. This study aims to analyze service quality attributes, factors influencing switching intention, and their implications for customer retention at PT XYZ through the integration of the Kano Model, Push–Pull–Mooring (PPM) framework, and Markov Model. A quantitative approach was employed using survey data collected from 385 PT XYZ customers who had used the company’s services for at least one year. The results indicate that PT XYZ’s service attributes are classified into 21 Must-Be attributes, 11 One-Dimensional attributes, and 14 Attractive attributes. Attributes related to responsiveness, communication, work monitoring, and customer comfort were identified as having the greatest potential to enhance customer satisfaction. The PPM analysis shows that push effect is at a low level, pull effect is at a moderate level, while mooring effect is the most dominant factor in retaining customers. Consequently, customers’ switching intention remains low. Furthermore, the Markov Model analysis indicates that PT XYZ has a customer retention probability of 71% and is projected to maintain a market share of 41.5% under steady-state conditions. The findings demonstrate that successful customer retention is determined not only by the fulfillment of basic service requirements but also by the company’s ability to create added value, strengthen customer trust, and establish long-term relationships. The integration of the Kano Model, Push–Pull–Mooring framework, and Markov Model provides a comprehensive approach for developing sustainable service quality improvement and customer retention strategies in the pest control industry.

Abstract

The growth of halal culinary and changes in consumer behavior require businesses to combine profit with spiritual and cultural values. Amid the onslaught of modern beverages, traditional culinary delights risk losing their identity. This study aims to analyze the sharia marketing strategy of Dawet Ayu Pandansari and its supporting and inhibiting factors. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data was collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results indicate a strategy based on the principles of divinity, ethics, reality, and humanity, centered on honesty, natural quality, and humane service. Halal awareness and trust support success, while competition and limited digital promotion pose obstacles. This strategy effectively maintains identity, strengthens competitiveness, and preserves culinary heritage.

Abstract

Indonesia's local skincare industry is experiencing rapid growth through digital platforms. However, consumers continue to face information asymmetry regarding product safety and quality. This study examines the effects of BPOM certification, brand awareness, perceived quality, promotion, and customer trust on purchase intention toward the local skincare brand Amifa Skinglow. Using an explanatory quantitative research design, data were collected from 153 respondents and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4. The results indicate an R-square value of 0.770, demonstrating that the proposed model explains a substantial proportion of the variance in purchase intention. All independent variables have positive and significant effects on purchase intention. Customer trust emerged as the strongest predictor (β = 0.571), followed by brand awareness (β = 0.264), highlighting that consumer trust and brand reputation play a more influential role in shaping purchase intention than formal product certification.

Abstract

Improving public service quality has become a key objective of bureaucratic reform, encouraging governments to adopt adaptive governance through the Dynamic Governance approach. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Dynamic Governance in improving service quality at the Public Service Mall (Mal Pelayanan Publik/MPP) of Palembang City and to identify the factors supporting its implementation. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed using interviews, observations, and documentation. Data were analyzed based on Neo and Chen's Dynamic Governance framework, consisting of Thinking Ahead, Thinking Again, and Thinking Across. The findings reveal that Dynamic Governance has contributed to service quality improvement through technology-based service innovation, continuous service evaluation, and strengthened inter-agency coordination and collaboration. However, challenges remain, including limited digital system integration, differences in institutional systems, and insufficient human resource capacity. Supporting factors include competent human resources, inter-agency collaboration, and a supportive regulatory framework. The study concludes that Dynamic Governance contributes to improving public service quality at the Palembang Public Service Mall, while further efforts are needed to strengthen digital transformation, service integration, and the capacity of public officials.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how qiyas and maslahah mursalah can be integrated methodologically in the formulation of professional zakat policy in Indonesia, considering that previous studies tend to discuss the two methods separately. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a library research type, where data is collected through documentation searches of official regulations, fatwas, and national and international scientific articles published from 2015 to 2026, then analyzed using content analysis techniques combined with the principles of ushul fiqh analysis. The results show that qiyas plays a role in providing technical-quantitative parameters for professional zakat such as nisab and zakat levels through analogies to gold zakat and agricultural zakat, while maslahah mursalah plays a role as a basis for legitimizing the obligation itself and directing policy adaptations in institutional aspects, digitalization, and welfare equality. These two methods complement each other and form a coherent framework of ushul fiqh argumentation, which is empirically manifested in the Fatwa of the Indonesian Ulema Council Number 3 of 2003, Law Number 23 of 2011 concerning Zakat Management, as well as various derivative policies of the National Zakat Agency.

Abstract

This research examines the role of productive zakat as an instrument for mustahik economic empowerment through the lens of maqasid sharia using a qualitative approach based on library research. Through descriptive-analytical analysis of classic, contemporary literature and institutional reports on zakat, the research found that a productive zakat program designed holistically based on maqasid sharia produces an empowerment impact that is far more comprehensive and sustainable than conventional consumptive zakat distribution. The literature synthesis identified that the transformation of mustahik into muzakki as the ultimate outcome of the most theologically meaningful zakat empowerment can only be achieved through the integration of business capital, intensive mentoring, program monitoring, and spiritual formation within a coherent program framework based on the five dimensions of maqasid. This research contributes to the development of an operational maqasid-based productive zakat evaluation framework as an alternative to conventional evaluation approaches which are financial-reductionist in nature.

Abstract

This research critically examines the policy of professional zakat management in Indonesia through the analytical lens of maqashid al-shari'ah. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a library research method, drawing data from statutory regulations, fatwas, and Scopus- and Sinta-indexed scientific articles published between 2019 and 2026. The findings indicate that professional zakat is conceptually aligned with the five dimensions of maqashid al-shari'ah, namely hifz al-din, hifz al-nafs, hifz al-aql, hifz al-nasl, and hifz al-mal, since the collection of zakat from professional income promotes the equitable distribution of welfare and the protection of the community's wealth. Nevertheless, the implementation of professional zakat management policy in Indonesia still faces fundamental challenges, including regulatory inconsistency among institutions, low compliance among civil servant and private professional muzaki, weak reporting and accountability systems, and the underdeveloped digitalization of zakat governance. This research recommends strengthening technical regulations on professional zakat, harmonizing Baznas and Amil Zakat Institutions, and reinforcing the maqashid al-shari'ah foundation in every zakat distribution and utilization policy.

Abstract

Solid waste management is a complex public issue that requires collaboration among multiple stakeholders. Lahat Regency continues to face challenges, including increasing waste generation, limited infrastructure, human resources, and financial capacity, as well as low community participation in waste segregation at the source. This study aims to analyze the implementation of collaborative governance in solid waste management in Lahat Regency using the Collaborative Governance Regime (CGR) framework developed by Emerson, Nabatchi, and Balogh (2012). This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis involving the Environmental Agency of Lahat Regency, Harapan Waste Bank, DP Partner Main Waste Bank, and Anugerah Waste Collector. Data were analyzed through data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that solid waste management in Lahat Regency involves the local government, waste banks, waste collectors, and the community in community-based waste reduction and management initiatives. From the CGR perspective, the system context, collaborative drivers, collaboration dynamics, and collaborative actions have been established through regulatory support, leadership, stakeholder engagement, and the implementation of capacity-building programs, public awareness campaigns, waste segregation, and waste utilization initiatives. These collaborative efforts have strengthened community-based waste management, enhanced the capacity of waste banks, and developed an economically valuable waste utilization chain. However, the effectiveness of collaboration remains constrained by limited resources, low community participation, and suboptimal coordination among stakeholders.
