Abstract

This study aims to produce a Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) in helping students understand the concept of number patterns. The research method used is design research. The research is focused on designing HLT which is validated, revised and tested one-to-one for students. Research data were collected through observation, interviews, and analysis of student answers. The instruments used are HLT and student worksheets using the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach through literature study. The collected data were collected and analyzed qualitatively. This research was conducted at the Non-Formal Education Program Package A level 2, involving 3 students with high, medium and low ability levels. The results of the analysis show that students with medium and high abilities can understand the material quite well, while students with low abilities have difficulty understanding the problems given. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) dalam membantu peserta didik dalam memahami konsep pola bilangan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian desain. Penelitian difokuskan untuk merancang HLT yang divalidasi, direvisi dan diujicobakan secara one-to-one kepada peserta didik. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis jawaban peserta didik. Instrument yang digunakan berupa HLT dan lembar kerja peserta didik dengan menggunakan pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education  (RME) melalui studi literature. Data yang dikumpulkan dikumpulkan dianalisis secara kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Pendidikan Non Formal Program Paket A tingkat 2, dengan melibatkan 3 orang peserta didik dengan tingkat kemampuan tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa  peserta didik dengan kemampuan sedang dan tinggi dapat memahami materi cukup baik, sedangkan peserta didik kemampuan rendah mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami masalah yang diberikan.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce a Hypothetical Learning Trajectory for geometric transformation material on the topic of rotation using the context of batik motifs and the Ferris wheel game. The research method used is design research. The learning approach used is Realistic Mathematics Education Indonesia (RME). Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) was developed from learning activities using the context of batik motifs and the Ferris wheel game. The research subjects were three students of class IX SMPN 7 Bukittinggi. Theoretical development was carried out through designing learning activities with HLT design at the preliminary stage, carrying out one to one activities in teaching experiments and retrospective analysis. Data was collected by observation, interviews, and documentation. After the observations were made, the results of the LKPD work were collected which were given to students, interviewed students. The results obtained from the interview process, students can use the HLT design that was developed because it has a systematic guide sequence to teach the topic of geometric transformation about rotation in the one to one implementation. what is predicted and what is anticipated. So the results of the HLT design for geometric transformation materials on the topic of rotation using the context of batik motifs and the Ferris wheel game are obtained.Tujuan penelitian menghasilkan Hypothetical Learning Trajectory materi transformasi geometri pada topik rotasi menggunakan konteks motif batik dan permainan bianglala. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah design research Pendekatan pembelajaran yang digunakan adalah Realisticcs Mathematics Education Indonesia (RME). Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) dikembangkan dari aktivitas pembelajaran menggunakan konteks motif batik dan permainan bianglala. Subjek penelitian adalah tiga peserta didik kelas IX SMPN 7 Bukittinggi, Pengembangan secara teoritis dilaksanakan melalui perancangan aktivitas pembelajaran dengan desain HLT pada tahap preliminary, melaksanakan kegiatan one to one pada teaching experiment dan restrospective analysis. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Setelah observasi dilakukan maka dikumpulkan hasil pengerjaan LKPD yang diberikan pada peserta didik, mewawancarai peserta didik. Hasil penelitian diperoleh proses wawancara, peserta didik dapat menggunakan desain HLT yang dikembangkan karena memiliki urutan panduan yang sistematis untuk mengajarkan topik transformasi geometri tentang Rotasi pada  pelaksanaan one to one menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan konteks motif batik dan permainan bianglala pada desain HLT transformasi geometri tentang Rotasi sesuai antara apa yang diprediksi dan antipasi yang dilakukan. Jadi  diperoleh hasil rancangan HLT materi transformasi geometri pada topik rotasi menggunakan konteks motif batik dan permainan bianglala.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of scaffolding strategy to students' mathematical problem solving in class VIII SMP. This type of research is a true-experimental study with a randomized posttest only control group design. The population in this study were students of class VIII SMP in Padang Pariaman Regency. Sampling was done by random sampling technique. Data analysis of mathematical problem solving abilities carried out in the cognitive domain. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that students' mathematical problem solving abilities using scaffolding strategies are better than mathematical problem solving abilities using scientific approaches. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan strategi scaffolding terhadap pemecahan masalah matematis siswa di kelas VIII SMP. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian true-eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian randomized posttest only control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP di Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik random sampling. Analisis data kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis yang dilakukan pada ranah kognitif. Berdasarkan analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang menggunakan strategi scaffolding lebih baik dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis yang menggunakan pendekatan saintifik.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of students to understand mathematical concepts when learning has been done online for almost a year at home, which is now back again face to face at school with less study time than usual. The purpose of this study was to find out how the students' mathematical concept understanding ability in the new normal era of class X science at Madrasah Aliyah Swasta (MAS) Lubuk Malako, South Solok Regency. The research method used is descriptive method using a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with a sample of 18 students. The instrument used to collect data was in the form of a student's mathematical concept understanding ability test and interviews. The test results were analyzed based on the assessment criteria of high, medium, low, and very low. The results showed that the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students in the new normal era of class X science was still relatively low with a percentage of 39%, namely indicators of restating concepts, presenting concepts in various representations, and relating various mathematical concepts internally or externally. While the criteria are high with a percentage of 17%, moderate with a percentage of 33%, and very low with a percentage of 11%. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa disaat belajar yang pernah dilakukan secara online hampir satu tahun di rumah yang sekarang kembali lagi tatap muka di sekolah dengan waktu belajar yag lebih sedikit dari biasanya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa di era new normal kelas X IPA di Madrasah Aliyah Swasta (MAS) Lubuk Malako Kabupaten Solok Selatan. Metode peelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dengan banyak sampel 18 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk megumpulkan data berupa tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dan wawancara. Hasil tes dianalisis berdasarkan kriteria penilaian yang tinggi, sedang, rendah, dan sangat rendah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa di era new normal kelas X IPA masih tergolong rendah dengan persentase 39% yaitu indikator menyatakan ulang konsep, menyajikan konsep dalam berbagai representasi, dan mengaitkan berbagai konsep matematika secara internal atau eksternal. Sedangkan kriteria tinggi dengan presentase 17%, sedang dengan presentase 33%, dan sangat rendah dengan presentase 11%.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of students to understand mathematical concepts. The Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) learning model can be used as an innovative teaching solution in improving the ability to understand concepts because the Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) learning model is a learning model that emphasizes three aspects, namely learning by listening, learning by thinking and repetition. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Auditory Intellectual Repetition (AIR) learning model in improving students' understanding of mathematical concepts. The design of this research is Pre Experimental with the form of research used is One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sampling technique used is Simple Random Sampling. After the samples were taken randomly, class X IPA 2 was chosen as the experimental class. The instrument in this study was in the form of a student's mathematical concept understanding ability test. The data analysis technique in this study used N-Gain data and the Paired Sample T Test (t test). Based on the average N-Gain value, it can be concluded that the Auditory Intellectual Repetition (AIR) learning model is effective in improving students' mathematical concept understanding abilities. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Model pembelajaran  Auditory Intelletually Repetition (AIR) dapat dijadikan suatu solusi pengajaran yang inovatif  dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep karena model pembelajaran Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) merupakan model pembelajaran yang menekankan tiga aspek, yaitu belajar dengan mendengar, belajar dengan berfikir dan pengulangan.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui model pembelajaran Auditory Intelletually Repetition (AIR) efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.  Desain penelitian ini adalah Pre Experimental dengan bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah Simple Random Sampling. Setelah sampel diambil secara acak, terpilih kelas X IPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Instrument dalam penelitian ini berupa tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan data N-Gain dan uji Paired Sample T Test (Uji t). Berdasarkan rata-rata nilai N-Gain dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Auditory Intelletually Repetition (AIR) efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.

Abstract

This research is motivated by students experiencing difficulties in solving problems in the form of descriptions and students' problem solving abilities in learning mathematics are still low at SMP Negeri 7 Lubuk Basung in the 2020/2021 academic year, this is indicated by the lack of independence of students in learning mathematics. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was a significant effect of learning independence on the mathematical problem solving abilities of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 7 Lubuk Basung in the 2020/2021 academic year. The statistical analysis technique used in this research is regression analysis. The results of this study obtained a correlation coefficient value of rxy = 0.543 and a determinant coefficient value of KD = 29.4849% From hypothesis testing, for the significant effect of learning independence on mathematical problem solving abilities of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 7 Lubuk Basung obtained Zcount = 3.801 and Ztable = 1.96 at 0.05 confidence. The regression equation between learning independence and mathematical problem solving ability of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 7 Lubuk Basung Y = -30.009 + 1.126X. If Zcount > Ztable, then the research hypothesis is accepted. This means that there is a significant effect of learning independence on students' mathematical problem solving abilities.Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal berbentuk uraian dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika tergolong masih rendah di SMP Negeri 7 Lubuk Basung Tahun Pelajaran 2020/2021, hal ini diindikasikan oleh kurang mandirinya siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika. Tujuan dilaksanakan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh signifikan kemandirian belajar terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 7 Lubuk Basung Tahun Pelajaran 2020/2021. Teknik analisis statistik penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar rxy = 0.543 dan nilai koefisien determinan sebesar KD = 29.4849% Dari pengujian hipotesis, untuk pengaruh signifikan kemandirian belajar terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 7 Lubuk Basung diperoleh Zhitung = 3.801 dan Ztabel = 1.96  pada kepercayaan 0.05. Persamaan regresi antara kemandirian belajar terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 7 Lubuk Basung Y = -30.009 + 1.126X. Jika Zhitung > Ztabel , maka hipotesis penelitian diterima. Artinya terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan kemandirian belajar terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop e-module teaching materials using the sigil application. The type of this research is research and development (R&D). The development model used is a combination of 3-D and Luther Sutopo models, namely define, design, develop (concept, desing, collecting, assembly, testing and distribution materials). After the product was produced based on the results of product trials for aspects of validity, material experts and media experts obtained 82% which is very valid. Aspects of practicality for teachers and students with a percentage of 78.34% or practical, and for the effectiveness test the effective criteria are 77% while the test results are 82.56% with very effective criteria. So it can be concluded that the design of e-module teaching materials using the sigil application on the subject of Geometric Transformation for class XI SMA students is valid, practical and effective.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar e-modul menggunakan aplikasi sigil. Adapun jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development/ R&D). Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah mengkombinasikan antara 3-D dan model Luther Sutopo yaitu define, design, develop (concept, desing, material collecting, assembly, testing dan distribution). Setelah produk dihasilkan berdasarkan hasil uji coba produk untuk aspek kevalidan pada ahli materi dan ahli media memperoleh 82% yaitu sangat valid. Aspek kepraktisan bagi guru dan siswa dengan persentase 78,34% atau praktis, dan untuk uji efektifitas memperoleh kriteria efektif sebesar 77% sedangkan dari hasil tes diperoleh 82,56% dengan kriteria sangat efektif. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa rancangan bahan ajar e-modul menggunakan aplikasi sigil pada pokok bahasan Transformasi Geometri untuk anak kelas XI SMA dinyatakan valid, praktis dan efektif .

Abstract

The background in this study is based on the observations of researchers at SMA Negeri 1 Merangin, based on the data on the educational level of fathers of class XI MIPA students who are very diverse where the percentages for elementary school/equivalent are 7.79%, junior high school/equivalent 12.98%, high school/equivalent 56.49% and the tertiary level 22.72%. However, with the father's education level still elementary/equivalent and junior high/equivalent, this does not make the student's mathematics learning outcomes low either. This study aims to determine the difference in the level of father's education on the students' mathematics learning outcomes carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Merangin. This study is a population study using ex-post facto research methods. The total population in this study amounted to 154 students. Data collection techniques using documentation. Based on the results of the study using the Oneway Anova test, the significance value of students' mathematics learning outcomes was sig = 0.808, at a significance level of = 0.05. Because the value of sig = 0.808 > = 0.05 so H0 is accepted. It can be concluded that there is no difference in students' mathematics learning outcomes based on the father's education level in the elementary, middle and high categories in class XI MIPA at SMA Negeri 1 Merangin. Latar belakang pada penelitian ini didasari oleh hasil observasi peneliti di SMA Negeri 1 Merangin, berdasarkan data tingkat pendidikan ayah  siswa kelas XI MIPA sangat beragam dimana diperoleh pesentase untuk tingkat  SD/sederejat sebesar 7.79%, SMP/sederajat 12.98%, SMA/sederajat 56.49% dan tingkat perguruan tinggi 22.72%. Namun dengan masih adanya tingkat pendidikan ayah SD/sederajat dan SMP/sederajat, hal tersebut tidak menjadikan hasil belajar matematika  siswa tersebut rendah pula. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedan tingkat pendidikan ayah terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa yang dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Merangin. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian populasi yang menggunakan metode penelitian ex-post facto. Jumlah populasi pada penelitian ini berjumlah 154 siswa. Teknik  pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menggunakan uji Oneway Anova diperoleh  nilai signifikansi hasil belajar matematika siswa sebesar sig = 0.808, pada taraf signifikansi α = 0.05. Karena nilai sig  = 0.808 >  α = 0.05 sehingga H0 diterima. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan hasil belajar matematika siswa berdasarkan tingkat pendidikan ayah kategori dasar menengah dan tinggi di kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Merangin.
