Abstract

Instagram is one type of e-commerce website that is used to sell products or services digitally with Instagram being the 4th most active platform on social media. “This study aims to analyze the characteristics of” agribusiness businesses using Instagram using qualitative descriptive with simple tabulations, analyzing the quality of Instagram, the use of Instagram and usage satisfaction in agribusiness businesses by using descriptive analysis to explain how the perspectives of SME on their Instagram and analyze the influence of Instagram quality, Instagram usage. and satisfaction with the use of successful e-commerce businesses in Bali Province “using the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) approach.” The research sample was 31 SME selling vegetables, fruits and meat using Instagram and using the hashtags #sayurbali, #buahbali and #dagingbali. The results show that most of the Instagram-based SME have an age of 26-30 years old SME with undergraduate education levels and Instagram contributing 50% -75% increase in sales. In addition, it was found that Instagram was able to increase SME sales results by “paying attention to the quality of “Instagram, the use of Instagram, usage satisfaction and the success of e-commerce. Instagram quality, Instagram usage and usage satisfaction indicate a significant positive influence on the success of e-commerce as evidenced by each variable having a value of 3.961; 2,067 and 2,002 for the success of e-commerce.

Abstract

Urban agriculture has an important role in providing a source of family income. One of the subaks in urban areas that is still producing is the Sembung Subak, which is located in Peguyangan Village, North Denpasar District. The purpose of this study was to determine the profile of urban agricultural enterprises in Subak Sembung, Denpasar City, to determine farm income in urban agriculture and farm households in Subak Sembung and to determine the role of farming in urban agriculture on farm household income. The samples of this study were 66 farmers who were taken from 8 munduk in Subak Sembung. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The variables observed in this study were cash receipts, cash and non-cash variable costs, fixed costs and equipment depreciation costs. The results showed that most of the farmers were still of productive age with the main job as farmers. The average farm income in Subak Sembung for 2020 was IDR 27,082,103/year. Based on the R/C value obtained> 1, it can be concluded that all commodities cultivated by farmers are efficient. The average farm household income is IDR 51,606,864/year. The contribution given from farming to total farm household income is 46.9%, it can be concluded that agriculture in Subak Sembung plays a role in household income. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the income of farmers who cultivated rice in Subak Sembung did not experience significant changes, while for vegetable farmers, there was a change due to decreased purchasing power.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the actual and potential land suitability, limiting factors, improvement efforts and the making of suitability maps as well as land use directions for several food crops and plantations. The plants evaluated include: rice, corn, sugar palm, coffee, salak and coconut. This research was carried out in Belimbing Village starting from January 2021 to March 2021. Based on the results of overlapping soil type maps, slope maps and land use maps, four homogeneous land units were obtained. The method used is a survey, analysis and classification of land suitability by matching the quality and characteristics of the land with the requirements for plant growth that are evaluated for suitability. The evaluation results show that the actual land suitability class for several food crops and plantations is S3 (marginally suitable) to N (not suitable). The limiting factors in the study area are: temperature, rainfall, dry months, humidity, N-total, P2O5, available K, slope and erosion hazard. Improvement of land suitability class is carried out with improvement efforts, namely the provision of organic matter, fertilization, making planting terraces according to contours and land cover except temperature, rainfall (especially for plantation crops), dry months and humidity because they are permanent limiting factors. Potential land suitability classes for several food crops and plantations evaluated are S1 (very suitable) to S3 (marginally suitable), with limiting factors of temperature, rainfall, slope and erosion hazard. Recommendations for land use in BLIVSw and BLVSw are corn and BLIVKb and BLVKb are sugar palm and coconut.

Abstract

Coffee fruit contains high cellulose and lignin. Cellulose is the most abundant polysaccharide found in plants, cellulose in nature forms crystals so that cellulose is difficult to degrade. Cellulose can be broken down using cellulase enzymes produced by microorganisms. One of the microorganisms capable of producing cellulase enzymes which are used to hydrolyze cellulose into simpler products, namely glucose, is cellulolytic bacteria. The purpose of this study was to identify bacterial isolates that ferment in coffee cherries. The isolation results obtained 97 bacterial colonies that grew, based on observations of color, shape, edges, and surface, they could be grouped into four groups of bacterial isolates named M1, M2, M3, and M4 bacterial isolates, with each cellulolytic index (IS) of 3,00; 0,75; 2,00 and 3,00. The results of the gram stain test obtained one gram-negative bacterial isolate (M2 rod-shaped) and three gram-positive bacterial isolates (M1 in the form of a focus, M3 and M4 in the form of a rod). Bacterial isolates M1 and M3 degraded the earliest coffee cherries with an average of 2.66 days after inoculation and no later than 6 day after inoculation in M2M4 and M3M4 bacterial isolates. The ability to degrade bacterial isolates in coffee cherries was obtained 2 - 5.34 days faster than the control.

Abstract

The Formation of Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cubense Hypovirulent Mutant Causes Wilt in Banana Plants (Musa Paradisiaca L.) Using Nitric Acid. Fusarium wilt disease is a type of disease that can cause a quantitative decrease in banana plant production. Fusarium wilt disease is classified as a disease that is difficult to control, because it is underground and forms chlamydospores. Control of Fusarium with biological agents has a positive impact on the environment, one way of biological control using antagonistic microorganisms. Biological agents used are biological agents that are hypovirulent. Hypovirulent properties will compete with host pathogens in competition for space, food, and toxin excretion, thereby suppressing fusarium fungi to enter the vascular tissue of banana plants. Chemical mutagens are mutagenic agents that can cause permanent changes in the composition of DNA. Nitric acid can cause DNA cross-linking in the same strands. Nitric acid was reported as a suitable mutagen to increase the production of lactic acid Lactobacillus delbrueckii. Nitric acid can change the acid-base pair of organisms so that mutations occur. obtained a mutant that is hypovirulent which can suppress the growth of fusarium fungus as a pathogen in banana plants. The results showed that the FOC fungus isolates with 1% treatment had hypovirulent properties compared to 0.05%, 0.1% and 0.5% treatments. Hypovirulent properties are derived from the timing of symptoms. In mutant FOC, 1% of symptoms appeared on day 6. The growth of hypovirulent mutants was expected to be higher than that of pathogenic FOCs. Based on the research, it was found that the fungi had the lowest pathogenicity level, as well as high diameter growth, total spore density, and high amount of inhibition.
