Abstract

The mining industry is one of the complex industries, due to its several stage of activities. In the exploration phase one of the activity is interpretation of resources/reserves. In interpreting, one of the method used is the Cross Section method using AutoCAD. This research aims to find out the remaining reserves, comparing the estimated results of mined reserves with the actual results of mined reserves and also the mine remaining life time at the PT Sumber Anugrah Buana 28,532.603m2 mining site. The result of calculation of remaining reserves is 3,015,887.010m3. The actual data of the company's mined reserves amounted to 40,903m3, while the estimated result of the calculation using the cross section method amounted to 277,635.953m3, resulting in a difference of 236,732.953 m3. The remaining life time of the mine is 12 years.

Abstract

In a mining company, of course, has a risk management system that aims to be able to identify any potential hazards that can occur around the mining and processing area and to make controls before a work accident occurs. One of the characteristics of the mining industry is that it is capital intensive, technology intensive and high risk, so it is necessary to identify and analyze risks for every job in the field, the method used in analyzing potential hazards and risk analysis is the Job Safety Analysis method which aims to identify and analyze each work steps and look for solutions or control methods if there is a potential hazard that can result in a work accident, one of the steps or efforts to protect workers in the field is to use personal protective equipment so that workers can be protected if at any time a work accident occurs in the field.

Abstract

The consequences of a mining operation can be both positif and negatif impacts. The negative impact of mining occurs in the terms of environmental damage. To repair the damage that has an impact on the environment, reclamtion activities are carried out. PT Adaro Indonesia is a company engaged in coal mining by implementing open pit mining using the Strip Mine method, one of which is located in the Paringin High Wall 2 area block, Balangan Regency, South Kalimantan Province. Evaluating the activities carried out in the ex-mining land reclamation process is necessary in order to determine the success rate of reclamation by providing an assessment of each reclamation activity that has been carried out based on the Regulation of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia No. 26 of 2018 Annex VI No. 1872 K/30/MEM/2018, concerning Guuidelines for the Implementation of Reclamtion and post-mining and post-operations in Mineral and Coal Mining Business Activities. The results of the evaluation of the success rate of reclamation at PT Adaro Indonesia in 2019 in the Paringin High Wall 2 area block was 92% with an area of 37.95 ha was categorised as ‘good’, but there are several parameters that have been carrid out but have not been maximized

Abstract

Surface mine is a mining system where all the mining activities are carried out on the planet surface or on open air environment. In the open mining system there are several methods, one of which is the open pit/cut. PT. Ifishdeco is one of the mining companies engaged in nickel ore mining and applies open mining system with open pit/cut method. PT. Ifishdeco Block X pit design is carried out with the help of Surpac 6.5.1 software. The design process starts with estimating reserves using the Inverse Distance Weighting (IDW) method then using the company recommendation to design levels geometry with bench dimension of 5 m high, 6 m width, 45o slope, overall slope of ≤ 25 0, catch bench width of 1 m and mine road width 8 m with 8% slopes. Furthermore, proceed with designing a pushback or progress of the mine based on the elevation with 5 months mining operation plan.

Abstract

PT. Gag Nikel is one of the companies engaged in the nickel mining industry that is allowed to conducted open-pit mining system within protected forest area in Raja Ampat Regency, West Papua Province. The problem raised in this study is how wide the catchment area, the dimensions of the settling ponds, the dimensions of the drainage that exist on the mine road. The study gave results of 0.44 km2 rain catchment area, 278.983 m3/57.28 seconds water discharge in settling pond 1, 262.2 m3/53.83 seconds water discharge in settling pond 2, 436,608 m3/89.65 seconds water discharge in settling pond 3 out of total 629,177 m3/2.01 minutes (120.06 seconds), and the dimensions of the drainage at the mine road is ideal due to it accommodates planned discharge.

Abstract

Fragmentation of blasted rock aims to determine the average size and size distribution of blasted fragmentation. In fragmentation analysis, blasting geometry calculates to acquire the burden, spacing, stemming, and sub drilling values. The primary data needed in rock fragmentation resulting from blasting are rock mass weighting data, explosive data, and actual blasting data obtained from previous researchers. The results of the actual fragmentation analysis obtained are the actual average fragmentation size of 21,83 cm and the average size of fragmentation using the ICI-Explosives design of 27,22 cm. The actual fragmentation size distribution is 1,92 % 100 cm and 99,08 % 100 cm. Meanwhile, the results of the size distribution of the fragmentation resulting from blasting using the Kuz Ram method using the ICI – Explosives blasting geometry design will produce fragmentation sizes of 0,84 % 100 cm and 99,16% 100 cm.

Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of the issue on the stock price of a nickel mining company, namely PT. Vale Indonesia Tbk. The total research time is 33 days with seven days of event period and 26 days of estimation period. The method used in this research is the event study method with the research variables are abnormal returns and trading volume activity. From the descriptive result, both abnormal return and trading volume activity affect the issue that can be seen with the mean value after the issue which is higher than the mean value before the issue. However, in the paired sample test, the two research variables yield different significance values. The abnormal return t value is -0.901 smaller than the t table of 0.4124 with a significance of 0.382, so the issue does not affect abnormal returns. The t trading volume activity is -2.305 higher than t table of 1.753 with a significance of 0.036, so the issue affects trading volume activity.

Abstract

Lintas Artha is a mining company with an open mining system where its activities are directly related to outside air. Topographical conditions in the form of a plateau which has a height of ± 44m-62m above sea level (dpl). The mining location is on a hill, so the weather is very uncertain. Influencing mining activities, the company needs to pay attention to the proper drainage system to prevent or control water entering the mining location from rainwater and runoff. Therefore, a technical study of the flow system on the haul road will be carried out. Based on the calculation, it is found that the area of the rain catchment area is 24,400 km2, the dimensions of the open channel in the haul road area have a channel bottom width of 1m, a water guard height of 0.6m, a channel slope of 60°. Then we get a trapezoidal channel that can flow a discharge of 33.33m3/second.

Abstract

Cementing is the process of placing the cement suspension into the casing, then it will come out through the bottom of the casing shoe and will flow up into the space between the casing and the formation. In making cement suspension, the properties of the cement must be considered because it will affect the quality of the cement results. This study aims to examine changes in density and free water content of cement suspension as a result of the addition of glucose-based additives. Meanwhile, testing of other drilling cement properties was not carried out. Based on the results of the study showed that the more concentration of additives added to the cement suspension, the cement density value will increase. This will affect the hydrostatic pressure of the drilling cement in the borehole later. Meanwhile, for free water testing, values ​​tend to be stable ranging from 3 – 3.2 cc or 1.2 – 1.28% or below what is allowed.

Abstract

Jalan Drs. Esau Sesa is a non-shared two-way connecting road owned by the Manokwari Regency Government, Papua Barat Province. This road is the main road that connects between districts with a road width of + 6 meters. The rapid development of land use along with Drs. Esau Sesa has the potential to reduce road service levels. Field observations showed that commercial activities are high in this area. Thus the traffic activities, as well as parked vehicles are also high, exceeding the facilities capacities. This condition is one of the causes of traffic jams on the road. Based on the data analysis results, Jalan Drs. Esau Sesa has a Road Capacity (C) of 2,061 vehicles/hour with a Free Flow Velocity (FV) of 45,315 Km/hour and a Degree of Saturation (DS) of 0.808. These results are equivalent to the Level of Service (L.O.S) at level D which means traffic flow on Jalan Dr. Esau Sesa began to become unstable, with low traffic jams with creeping currents and vehicle volumes approaching maximum capacity.
