Abstract

Income disparity is an important issue in regional development as it reflects inequality in the distribution of welfare across regions or social groups. This study aims to analyze the effect of regional economic growth, open unemployment rate, and regional government capital expenditure on income disparity in Pacitan Regency and Wonogiri Regency during the period 2010–2023. This research employs a quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of East Java and Central Java Provinces, as well as BPS of Pacitan Regency and Wonogiri Regency. The study population consists of annual socio-economic indicator data, with a total sampling technique of 14 years of observation for each regency. Data analysis is conducted using multiple linear regression with the assistance of IBM SPSS 25 software. The partial test results indicate that the effects of independent variables on income disparity differ between regions. In Pacitan Regency, regional economic growth and open unemployment rate have no significant effect on income disparity, while capital expenditure has a positive and significant effect. Conversely, in Wonogiri Regency, regional economic growth and open unemployment rate have a negative and significant effect on income disparity, whereas capital expenditure has no significant effect. These findings provide policy implications for local governments in designing more equitable and inclusive development strategies.

Abstract

Consumer purchasing decisions are processes influenced by various factors before consumers decide to buy a product or service. This study aims to analyze the effect of brand image (X1), store atmosphere (X2), promotion (X3), and product innovation (X4) on consumer purchasing decisions at Cafe Ribian in Payakumbuh City. The research employs a descriptive quantitative method, with data collected through questionnaires. The sample consists of 100 respondents who are customers of Cafe Ribian, selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with IBM SPSS version 26 to examine the partial and simultaneous effects of the variables on purchasing decisions. The results indicate that brand image, store atmosphere, promotion, and product innovation have positive and significant effects on purchasing decisions, both partially and simultaneously. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening brand image, creating a comfortable store atmosphere, implementing effective promotional strategies, and continuously innovating products to enhance consumer purchasing decisions in the cafe sector.

Abstract

The agricultural sector is an important sector in supporting the increase of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), especially the food crops, livestock, and fisheries sub-sectors in Malang Regency. This study aims to identify the contribution of the food crops, livestock, and fisheries sub-sectors in Malang Regency to GRDP in Malang Regency. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency of Malang Regency. The results of the study show that the independent variables of food crops, livestock, and fisheries simultaneously have a significant effect on the dependent variable GRDP. The partial test results show that the food crops and livestock sub-sector variables have a positive and significant effect on the dependent variable. The fisheries variable has a positive and insignificant effect on the dependent variable. The results of the determination coefficient test of 0.878 indicate that 87.8% of the variation in GRDP can be explained by the food crops, livestock, and fisheries sub-sectors, while the rest is influenced by other factors. From the research that has been done, the researcher suggests that the government should optimise the production of food crops, livestock, and fisheries production, because these three sub-sectors are potential sub-sectors in the agricultural sector in Malang Regency.

Abstract

The growing number of capital market investors in Southeast Sulawesi demonstrates popular interest in investment as a long-term financial management strategy.  However, this condition contrasts with the current disparity in financial literacy levels and the influence of demographic factors, which may impair individuals' capacity to make prudent investment decisions. The goal of this research is to study how knowledge of finances and demographic elements influence investment decisions of stock investors in Southeast Sulawesi. The context of this research is the paradox between the actual rapid increase in capital market investors along with the low degree of national monetary literacy, which is causes hesitation and the possibility of poor investment decisions. This study employs a survey as a quantitative method. Purposive sampling consists of 110 selected stock investors. Primary surveys were used to gather data, which was then examined utilising the SPSS 30.0 program. The outcomes showed that investment decisions are significantly and positively impacted by financial knowledge (β = 0.449; t = 4.283; p < 0.05). characteristics of the population also have a favourable and noteworthy impact on investing choices (β=0.291; t=2.780; p<0.005). Both independent variables can be responsible for 47.2% of the variance in the choice to invest variables simultaneously. This research found that knowledge of finance and demographic attributes are the main factors that influence capital market investment choices. The autocomes show the actual importance of organized financial education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of cybercrime on customer trust in Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI). A quantitative approach was employed, using a survey method by distributing questionnaires to BSI customers who have used digital banking services. The research instrument was structured using a Likert scale and analyzed with the help of SPSS version 30.0. The results of the analysis indicate that cybercrime has a positive and significant effect on customer trust. This means that the higher the level of threat or experience related to cybercrime, the greater the impact on decreasing customer trust in the security and digital services provided by the bank. These findings also reveal that customers' perceptions of digital security greatly influence their confidence in conducting banking transactions. Therefore, banking institutions, particularly BSI, need to strengthen their cybersecurity systems, continuously educate customers about digital safety, and ensure transparency in handling security incidents to maintain and enhance customer trust. This research contributes to the existing literature on customer trust and highlights the importance of data protection in the era of banking digitalization.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of social media, flash sales, and Islamic lifestyle on impulsive buying behavior on the Shopee platform (a study on Muslim students at Medan State Polytechnic). In this study, the independent variables are social media, flash sales, and Islamic lifestyle, while the dependent variable is impulsive buying behavior. The sample used in this study consisted of 150 Muslim student respondents from Medan State Polytechnic who use the Shopee platform, with data collected through questionnaires as primary data and secondary data derived from theoretical studies in books and journals. This study employs a quantitative method with data collection techniques through questionnaires evaluated using a Likert scale, validity testing, and reliability testing. The prerequisite tests include normality test, multicollinearity test, and heteroscedasticity test. The data analysis technique used to answer the hypothesis employs multiple linear regression analysis, partial test (t), simultaneous test (F), and coefficient of determination test (R2) with a significance level of 5% (α=0.05), processed with the assistance of SPSS 25. The results of this study indicate that the social media variable has a positive and significant effect on the impulsive buying behavior of Muslim students at Politeknik Negeri Medan on the Shopee platform, the flash sale variable has a positive and significant effect on the impulsive buying behavior of Muslim students at Politeknik Negeri Medan on the Shopee platform, and the Islamic lifestyle variable has a negative and significant effect on the impulsive buying behavior of Muslim students at Politeknik Negeri Medan on the Shopee platform. The social media, flash sale, and Islamic lifestyle variables have a significant effect on the impulsive buying behavior of Muslim students at Politeknik Negeri Medan on the Shopee platform).
