Abstract

Nagari/village funds are an important instrument that can be used to improve community welfare, reduce regional disparities, and strengthen local economic empowerment. However, in practice, the implementation of organizational culture innovation in nagari/village government structures is often faced with a number of complex challenges. Nagari/village leaders and officials who have skills in organizational culture innovation can help in developing a better nagari/village fund management system, such as using information technology in reporting and monitoring the use of funds, or applying the principles of good governance in decision making. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods to explore the challenges associated with implementing organizational culture innovation in managing nagari/village funds in order to achieve the goals of good nagari/village governance. A qualitative approach provides an appropriate framework for understanding in depth the cultural context of organizations at the nagari/village level and the dynamics involved in dealing with change. The research results show that the role of nagari/village leaders and officials is very crucial in encouraging the adoption and implementation of organizational culture innovations in managing nagari/village funds. Resistance to change is still a significant challenge faced by many nagari/villages in implementing organizational culture innovation. Factors such as discomfort with the status quo and lack of understanding of the benefits of innovation can hinder efforts to improve the effectiveness of nagari/village fund management.

Abstract

Tidal flooding often occurs in coastal areas and this is sometimes very difficult to predict because it can occur suddenly this happens because sea water is higher than the land surface. This research aims at 1) vulnerability to tidal flooding due to sea level rise,, 2) disaster mitigation of community preparedness. This type of research is quantitative. Data were analyzed using the overlay method and mitigation using the PLS (Partial Least Square) approach, and by taking random sampling of the population. This research results in 1) tides have a formzahl value of 0.31 with a mixed type leaning to double daily occurring twice the tide and twice the ebb with almost the same height, in tidal affected areas have 2 classes, namely vulnerable and not vulnerable areas that are quite vulnerable have an area of 1009 Ha. The distribution of areas classified as quite vulnerable is in areas close to the coast. Areas that are not vulnerable have an area of 11,173 with areas that are not close to the coast. 2) on policies, emergency response plans, disaster warning systems, resource mobility is able to explain the preparedness variable by 60.9%. Based on the results of these calculations it can be concluded that this research model is included in the moderate or moderate category. Because if > 0.50 indicates a moderate model.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are 3, namely, 1) Knowing how the level of job insecurity experienced by employees. 2) To test whether there is an effect of job insecurity on psychological well-being in employees. 3) To find out how social support acts as a moderator variable in reducing the negative impact of job insecurity on psychological well-being. In this study, researchers used the simple random sampling method for sampling from the population. With the number of samples taken around 120 people. This study uses simple linear regression techniques in the data analysis process. This technique is used to identify the influence between job insecurity and social support on psychological well-being. Based on the results of data analysis that has been carried out and the discussion as described in the previous chapter, three conclusions can be drawn from this study. First, Job Insecurity has a positive and significant effect on Psychological Wellbeing, so H1 is rejected. Second, Social Support has a significant effect on Psychological Wellbeing but has a negative distribution, meaning that Social Support has an indirect effect on Psychological Wellbeing, so H2 is rejected. Third, Social Support moderates the effect of Job Insecurity on Psychological Wellbeing, so H3 is accepted.

Abstract

Student Activity Unit (UKM) is the main forum for student self-development. However, UKM at Padang State University face several challenges related to the lack of member contributions to UKM work programs, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic and the emergence of the MBKM program. This study aims to understand the phenomenon of social loafing in UKM members at Padang State University by focusing on the reasons for joining, member contributions, barriers, and their impact on UKM. The study used qualitative methods with a thematic analysis approach through an open questionnaire on 200 active UNP students who became members of UKM in 2020-2022. The findings showed that respondents joined UKM because they wanted to develop themselves, improve social relations, match with interests and talents, increase experience, suitability of UKM with college majors, a good organizational environment, recommendations from others, fill spare time, and attractive attributes of UKM. Although many actively contribute, some members are less active due to factors such as perceived co-worker loafing, cohesivity, communication, and workload distribution at the organizational level. Individual factors such as time management, motivation, personal problems, adversity quotient, involvement in other activities, self-efficacy, passion, and academic stress also influence participation. These barriers can reduce the effectiveness of UKM with impacts such as unattainable targets, low participation, and high turnover. Impact on individuals such as physical and psychological disorders, decreased motivation, and suboptimal performance.

Abstract

A culture of innovation is not just an option, but an urgent need to maintain the competitiveness of public sector organizations amidst rapid change. In this context, a culture of innovation is a vital aspect in strengthening the competitiveness of an organization, especially in the public sector which plays a crucial role in public services. In researching the actualization of innovation culture in public sector organizations, a qualitative approach with descriptive methods is the right choice. A qualitative approach allows researchers to gain a deep understanding of a complex and multidimensional phenomenon such as innovation culture. From the discussion that has been described, it can be concluded that the actualization of a culture of innovation in public sector organizations is an urgent need in facing the complexity and dynamics of an ever-changing environment. The main problems faced by public sector organizations, such as resistance to change, complex bureaucracy, and low employee involvement, are the main obstacles in realizing an effective innovation culture. However, by adopting a qualitative approach with descriptive methods in research, as well as involving various stakeholders in the process, organizations can gain a deeper understanding of the dynamics of existing innovation culture and explore strategies that can be implemented to overcome them.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of body image on interpersonal competence in young men who attend the gym in Padang City. This research uses quantitative methods with a correlational quantitative design. The data collection technique uses Accidental Sampling. The research sample consisted of 272 respondents. The research instrument uses an interpersonal competence scale which is based on aspects of interpersonal competence according to Buhrmester, et al (1998), as well as a body image scale based on aspects developed by Cash & Pruzinsky (2002). The results of the analysis used simple linear regression analysis and the results showed that body image had a positive and significant effect on interpersonal competence in teenage boys who attended the gym in Padang City.

Abstract

The phenomenon of needing information regarding self-development is considered important. To meet these needs, the Instagram account @viviatal is an alternative. After the information needs are met, of course followers of the @viviatal account will get an information experience. This research aims to determine the information experience felt by followers of the Instagram account @viviatal. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The information in this research was determined using a purposive sampling technique. Collection techniques were carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The analysis technique used is thematic analysis technique, namely identifying patterns and forming new themes based on the data collected. The results of this research show that the Instagram account @viviatal (1) is the result of identifying sources of information, (2) becomes a media that plays a role, and (3) has an impact in increasing insight, consideration in decision making, and has a positive impact on followers of the Instagram account @viviatal.

Abstract

The development of Center Point Indonesia (CPI) in Makassar City, South Sulawesi has brought significant socio-economic changes to coastal communities. This study investigates changes in the structure and socio-economic situation of Makassar coastal communities with the development of the CPI. The research results show that this development affects the state of the coastal economy, reducing the income of shipping and fishing companies. This change has an impact on the employment situation in coastal areas, which previously was mostly involved in shipping and fishing. Many people are now thinking about looking for another job. The development of CPI has also changed the physical composition and size of coastal communities, which previously were only limited to the sea, are now larger and connected to other areas. This research uses qualitative research methods and collects data from secondary sources such as reports and articles regarding developments in the consumer price index and the situation of coastal communities in Makassar City. The results show that the evolution of the consumer price index has influenced the socio-economic conditions of coastal areas, which previously were mostly involved in shipping and fishing. Many people are now considering looking for another job. This development has also changed the physical composition and size of coastal communities, which were previously only limited to the sea, but are now increasingly spread out and connected to other areas.

Abstract

National park areas in Indonesia have biodiversity which can be a special attraction for tourists. The aim of this research is to determine the attractiveness, access to tourist attraction locations, and classification of the feasibility of potential natural tourist attractions in South Solok Regency. The research method uses the Analysis Guidelines for Assessment of Operational Areas-Objects and Natural Tourism Attractions. There are six natural tourism potentials, namely, Ulu Tulisi Waterfall, Andalas Waterfall, Pincuran Tujuh, Bukit Bontak Lake, Mount Kerinci Climbing Route via South Solok, and Sungai Dalam Lake Bukit Bontak Waterfall and the Mount Kerinci Climbing Route via South Solok have high scores. highest in the attraction aspect and accessibility aspect. Based on the assessment of both aspects, Bukit Bontak Lake and the Mount Kerinci Climbing Route via South Solok are the main priorities because they received the very worthy category. The results of this analysis can determine the direction of development of natural tourist attractions in the Sangir Region IV National Park Management Section.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of the teacher certification policy aimed at improving educational standards at SMP Negeri 47 in Surabaya, with a focus on how it affects teacher’s competence, welfare, and skills. The certification policy is hypothesized to play a pivotal role in elevating the quality of education offered. Employing a qualitative approach, this study examines the implementation and outcomes of the policy since its introduction. Data was collected through various qualitative methodologies and analyzed to ascertain the policy’s contribution to enhancing teacher welfare, competence, and professionalism. The findings reveal that the teacher certification policy at SMPN 47 Surabaya has been significantly instrumental in advancing educational quality aligning with the policy’s prime objectives. These insights hold wide implications for educational policy optimization at a broader level.
