Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of the PQRST method in learning the skills of reading descriptive texts for class VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Kota Sungai Lilin. The type of research used in this research is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental method using a one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study were 105 class VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Kota Sungai Kunci for the academic year 2022/2023, with a sample size of 26 students who were determined using a purposive sampling technique. Based on the results of the posttest and hypothesis testing, it was found that the average value of skills in reading descriptive texts after using the PQRST method was higher than the average value of skills in reading descriptive texts before using the PQRST method. learning the skills of reading descriptive text after using the PQRST method is in the Very Good (BS) classification with an average value of 96.15. When compared with the learning value of reading skill description text for class VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Kota Sungai Lilin before using the PQRST method it is lower and is in the Less Enough (KC) classification with an average value of 15.38. Based on the t-test it was concluded that the hypothesis (H1) was accepted at a significant level of 95% and dk = (n-1) because tcount > ttable (20.26>1.70). Thus, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the use of the PQRST method on the skills of reading descriptive texts for class VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Kota Sungai Lilin.

Abstract

This researcch was conducted to find out about the impact of using visual aids on understanding the material of the circulatory system. The cardiovascular system is a material in science learning that includes organs that are used during the transportation process, blood circulation processes, abnormalities in blood circulation and circulatory diseases that should be understood. But of course there are obstacles in the learning process both the lack of understanding of students in capturing learning material, that way the teacher can use learning media such as teaching aids, the use of teaching aids that image the necessary work operations needed to visualize in memory, so the direction of this research is to test the success of the circulatory system visual media in the teaching and learning process. As well as helping teachers to make it easier when doing learning and easily understood by students.

Abstract

Education is one of the basic needs in human thinking life and one of the basic needs as part of the life and survival of humans in this world who are doing the work of the Creator, namely to worship. A very important part of education is the administrative process. Indonesia is one of the developing countries where the quality of education is still low. This can be seen from the low entry and exit rates of vocational training. Indonesia needs to improve the quality of education, including developing a more advanced education management system. This course uses school research as a research method. Library research collects data from various reading sources of books, newspapers and articles which are the source of this research data. Humans are determined to represent society as never before by using the human resources and other resources that education currently provides. Abstract

The education assessment system is the most important measure for this national education assessment. To assess the progress of the education system, these standards are evaluated by holding a national exam. The national law based on the Ministry of Education and Culture's instruction on abolishing the national exam has had many advantages and disadvantages, especially among teachers. This study considers the National Examination as a very important assessment standard for determining the current educational progress of students so that the government knows and can organize education in accordance with the rights of students according to students, teachers and similar institutions and can monitor learning. The aim is to identify the concept of evaluation in secondary schools, the principles of teacher evaluation in secondary education and teaching, and to identify the principles of evaluating quality, knowledge and skills in secondary education. The method used is the literature review method by collecting information from written sources in the form of books, journals and articles. The findings of this study are that the assessment method is still applied so that it can provide answers related to the scientific method of learning the 2013 curriculum by compiling a methodology, perfecting previous research and research that focuses on considering aspects of knowledge. and carry out a complete assessment of the aspects of character, knowledge and skills, shifting from the teacher to focusing on the student learning process, it is necessary to develop a system for measuring learning outcomes, namely effective assessment, and increasing the orientation of learning assessment for currently learning. process and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Green tea leaf extract facial toner and gotu kola leaves are facial care cosmetics formulated for acne-prone skin types. This cosmetic is made from natural ingredients in the form of green tea leaves and gotu kola leaves which have been dried with a mixture of preservatives and other chemicals. This facial toner functions to moisturize and refresh facial skin, remove excess oil on facial skin and can help close pores on the face. This facial toner contains antioxidants which are great for warding off free radicals that cause acne-prone skin. Purpose: To analyze the facial toner extract of green tea leaves and gotu kola leaves in terms of laboratory tests, organoleptic tests, and organoleptic tests. Method: this research method is an experimental research method. The results of this study based on organoleptic tests showed that the color, aroma, absorption, and preference of the panelists had a fairly high rating level. For laboratory tests, facial toner extracts from green tea leaves and gotu kola leaves had a pH test that was in accordance with the standard pH of facial skin, namely 6.5, which was good for facial skin and the homogeneity test found that all formulations in this toner were homogeneous. In conclusion: facial toner extracted from green tea leaves and gotu kola leaves is suitable for use as a facial toner in terms of laboratory tests (pH test and homogeneity test), organoleptic tests (color, aroma and absorption), and panelist preference test (hedonic).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the effect of using the discovery learning model on the writing skills of exposition texts of class X students of SMA Negeri 2 Sungai penuh city. This type of research is a quantitative research with the one group pretest-posttest design experimental method. The population of this study were class X students of SMA Negeri 2 Sungai penuh City who were enrolled in the 2022/2023 academic year with a total of 212 students. The sample of this research was students of class X IPA 4, totaling 34 people who were determined using a purposive sampling technique. The data in this study were the scores of the exposition text writing skills test scores of class X students of SMA Negeri 2 Kota Sungai Penuh before and after using the discovery learning model. The research instrument was a performance test, namely a test of writing skills of expository text. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using the percentage formula, the arithmetic mean formula, and the t-test. Based on the results of the study concluded the following three things. First, the skills of writing explanatory texts for class X students of SMA Negeri 2 Kota Sungai Penuh before using the discovery learning model are in the Enough qualification (C) with an average value of 59.57. Second, the writing skills of exposition texts for class X students of SMA Negeri 2 Kota Sungai Penuh after using the discovery learning model are in the Good qualification (B) with an average score of 79.40. Third, based on the t-test, the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted at the level of confidence and degrees of freedom (dk) = (n-1) because tcount>ttable (8.89>1.80). In other words, the discovery learning model has an effect on the exposition text writing skills of class X students of SMA Negeri 2 Sungai penuh City.

Abstract

One of the subjects that most students experience problems and find it difficult to understand the concepts is mathematics. The task of a teacher is not only to transfer knowledge or convey learning knowledge to students in the classroom. The majority of students explained that subjects related to calculations were subjects that were difficult to understand. The purpose of this research was to assist teachers in improving students' abilities by using stem napier media. The Napier rod is a tool that can help find the product of a number. Napier rods can be used by students to assist in calculating multiplication and division operations. This calculation tool is designed to simplify heavy multiplication tasks. This multiplication bar or napier bar prop is used to calculate multiplication of whole numbers.

Abstract

The focus of this article is to describe strategic issues and their implementation in Islamic educational institutions. The role of Islamic educational institutions in improving education is very strategic because the aim of education is basically to humanize humans, or to elevate human dignity or "human dignity". Education in Islam emphasizes the formation of human character who has noble character. With this noble moral character education, the goal of education which in Ki Hajar Dewantara's thought is "to liberate the life and life of the child, physically and mentally" can be implemented in the current independent learning curriculum paradigm. The focus of the strategic issues in this discussion are: (1) Islamic Education Orientation; (2) Learning Method Approach; (3) Professionalism and Quality of Human Resources; and (4) Education Costs. Implementation is a series of actions carried out by various actors implementing the policy with supporting means based on predetermined rules to achieve the stated goals. Turning strategic issues into action and results is a strategic step for the leadership of Islamic education institutions in transforming their institutions or organizations so that they have competitive capabilities, creating opportunities for educational services now and in the future.

Abstract

During the COVID-19 pandemic, students studied from home, affecting various aspects of student life, one of which was the way of learning. The aim of the research is to find out how students study at home during the COVID-19 pandemic. There were 5 student key informants, 1 Guidance and Counseling teacher and 3 parents. Data was collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data processing techniques use descriptive qualitative analysis and techniques to test the validity of the data with data trigulation. Based on the results of research on SMA N I Matur students, it shows that the way students learn during the COVID-19 pandemic is the first method of learning from the aspect of making a schedule, namely not carrying out all the schedules that have been arranged, and students not using their free time to the fullest. second, how to learn from the aspect of reading and taking notes, that is, there is still a lack of motivation for students to read, and in making notes students only make it in summary form. third, how to learn in the aspect of repeating lesson material, that is, students repeat lessons when they are going to face daily tests or exams. Fourth, how to learn from the aspect of concentration, that is, students can concentrate, but the student environment is less supportive. The five ways of learning from the aspect of doing assignments, namely, students rely on sources from the internet in doing assignments that are not sure of the truth of the source, and also if the internet network does not support the student's assignments will pile up.
