Abstract

This study aims to develop traditional game-based Children's Motor Activity Sheets (CMAS) using the ADDIE development model for 34 second grade students of SD Negeri 2 Bojanegara. This research instrument includes a validity test by experts, teacher and student response questionnaires, as well as pretest and postets questionnaires. Data analysis used averages and effectiveness tests using the Wilcoxon sign rank statistical test and paired sample t test on three traditional games, namely cranklek, gopak sodor, and sack racing. The results showed that the traditional game-based children's motor LKPD was valid with an average expert validity score of 76%. Teacher and student responses were very positive with an average assessment score of 96% and 87% respectively. The effectiveness test on the three traditional games showed a statistically significant increase in students' gross motor skills (sig. 0.00 <0.05). This LKPD is proven to be effective and relevant as an innovative learning media that is fun and supports the preservation of local culture in the elementary school environment. The implication of this research is that the use of traditional game-based LKPD can be an alternative learning media that is holistic and supports early childhood motor development in Indonesia .

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between physical condition (leg muscle strength, waist flexibility, abdominal muscle strength, and arm strength) and mental toughness in wrestling athletes. The research method used was quantitative with a correlational design. The population, which also served as the sample, consisted of 15 athletes selected by a total sampling technique. Data collection instruments included a leg dynamometer for leg strength, a flexibility test for waist flexibility, a sit-up test for abdominal strength, and the MTIid to measure mental toughness. The results of the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and linearity test indicated that the data were normally distributed and had a linear relationship. Hypothesis testing using a correlation test found significant relationships between leg muscle strength (p=0.004), waist flexibility (p=0.005), abdominal muscle strength (p=0.001), and arm strength (p=0.001) with mental toughness. This study concludes that the physical condition, comprising leg muscle strength, waist flexibility, abdominal muscle strength, and arm strength, has a significant relationship with the mental toughness of wrestling athletes. The implication is that wrestling training programs should be designed integratively to develop physical and mental aspects simultaneously.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop a soccer ball throwing device that can be used to train goalkeeper skills in the sport of soccer. The research employs a development method (Research and Development/R&D), consisting of several stages: (1) Potential and Problems, (2) Information Collection, (3) Product Design, (4) Product Validation, (5) Design Improvement, (6) Product Testing, (7) Product Revision, (8) Product Testing, (9) Product Revision, and (10) Final Product. The instruments used in this study include observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Product validation was conducted by material and media experts. Data analysis was performed using the Likert scale. The results of the research showed: (1) material expert validation data scored 46 (92%), categorized as "Very Good," (2) med ia expert validation scored 50 (100%), categorized as "Very Good." In the small-scale trial, 22 players from Tidar Jaya and PSS Sukoharjo achieved an average score of 83%, categorized as "Very Good," while the large-scale trial with 44 players also achieved an average score of 83%, categorized as "Very Good." Based on these results, the soccer ball throwing device was proven effective in training goalkeeper skills and is suitable for use in soccer training.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the resistance training program in increasing leg power in 12 volleyball UKM athletes of STKIPPGRIPacitan. The design used was a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest with a treatment of 12 weight training sessions including squats, sumo squats, leg extensions, and calvary raises. Leg power was measured before and after treatment using a vertical jump test, then analyzed using a t-test (p<0.05). The results showed an average increase in leg power from 19.58 to 20.06 with a difference or increase of 0.55. The t-test showed a calculated p-value of 0.002<0.05, indicating that there was a difference in leg power increase after the implementation of resistance training. This indicates that resistance training exercises have an effect on increasing leg power in volleyball UKM athletes of STKIP PGRI Pacitan. The conclusion confirms that resistance training is able to increase leg power in volleyball UKM athletes of STKIP PGRI Pacitan.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe Body Mass Index and physical activity levels as well as the effect of Body Mass Index on physical activity among students of class XII IPA 3 at Mambusao National High School. This study employed a quantitative descriptive method. The research subjects consisted of 34 students of class XII IPA 3. BMI was measured using the Body Mass Index formula based on World Health Organization (WHO) standards, while physical activity levels were assessed using the Global Physical Activity Questionnaire (GPAQ) WHO. The results showed that students’ BMI status consisted of 7 students classified as obesity level II, 3 students as obesity level I, 2 students at risk of obesity, 15 students with normal BMI, and 7 students classified as underweight. Meanwhile, physical activity levels were categorized as high in 24 students (70%), moderate in 5 students (15%), and low in 5 students (15%). Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the majority of students had a high level of physical activity despite variations in Body Mass Index. Therefore, continuous monitoring of nutritional status and promotion of physical activity are necessary to maintain students’ health.
