Abstract

In today’s digital era, the use of information technology is essential to improve work efficiency andeffectiveness across various sectors, including the industrial sector. PT Sugindo International previouslyemployed a manual method using paper- based forms to report problematic (abnormal) products thatrequired decisions from the Quality Control (QC) department. This method was considered inefficient andprone to data loss and delays in information delivery. This study aims to design and implement a web-basedinformation system that enables operators to input data on abnormal products to be placed in a pendingarea, and allows QC to provide decisions regarding those products. The system is designed to be accessibleonly to company employees through a login process based on their respective departments, therebymaintaining data security and confidentiality. The system was developed using a UML modeling approach,including use case and activity diagrams. The results show that the system significantly improves the speed,efficiency, and documentation of the reporting and handling process of pending products. Moreover, itenhances real-time coordination between the production and QC departments without relying on paperbasedcommunication.

Abstract

Student attendance management is a crucial aspect of the educational process, closely related to student discipline, learning engagement, and performance evaluation. However, conventional manual attendance systems widely used in schools still suffer from several weaknesses, including vulnerability to data manipulation, delayed recapitulation, and a lack of transparency. With advancements in information and communication technology, leveraging GPS (Global Positioning System) technology on mobile devices presents a novel alternative for a more modern, efficient, and accurate attendance system. This research aims to design, develop, and implement a GPS-based attendance system on mobile devices that enables automatic recording of student attendance based on their geographical location. The methodology employed is Research and Development (R&D), utilizing a prototype model that encompasses stages of needs analysis, system design, development, testing, and evaluation. The implementation results indicate that the GPS-based attendance system can reduce proxy attendance practices, enhance administrative efficiency, and provide real-time attendance data that can be monitored by both school authorities and parents.

Abstract

This study aims to design and evaluate a wearable vest device capable of detecting and providing real-time alerts when elementary school students begin to slouch while sitting. The system employs an MPU6050 sensor attached to the back to measure body tilt angles, with data sent to an ESP32 microcontroller for processing. When the tilt angle exceeds a certain threshold, a buzzer is activated as a warning. Posture information is also transmitted to an ESP8266 using the ESP-NOW protocol and displayed on an LCD without requiring an internet connection. The device was tested directly in a classroom setting at MI Al-Khoeriyyah and demonstrated the ability to provide real-time responses, improve students’ awareness of proper sitting posture, and remain comfortable for use during extended learning activities.

Abstract

This research aims to design a tool and implement an aquarium water quality monitoring system using an ESP32 microcontroller connected to a pH sensor and a turbidity sensor. This system is capable of monitoring pH values ​​and water clarity levels through real-time input data from the turbidity sensor, and displays the data on an LCD screen. A buzzer will sound as an alarm if the turbidity level exceeds a predetermined limit. Test results show that the system functions stably and provides accurate results in identifying changes in water parameters. It is hoped that this system can be an efficient and cost-effective solution for fish hobbyists in maintaining aquarium water quality. Keywords: pH sensor, turbidity, water monitoring

Abstract

Website-based community complaint system is an alternative to facilitate the community in improving the efficiency of public services at the ministry of social center abiyoso cimahi. With this website-based complaint system, it is hoped that the community will find it easier to access the complaint site. This study aims to analyze the complaint data generated by the system in order to provide more effective and efficient services to facilitate the community in making complaints. With this as a researcher, I use qualitative research methods including descriptive data collection, and data exploration using data mining. the results of this study show that most of them are related to social services and accessibility for people with disabilities. The implementation of a web-based complaint system has increased the effectiveness, efficiency and transparency in handling complaints. Recommendations from this research include optimizing the system with artificial intelligence for complaint classification and developing mobile applications to increase accessibility for the wider community.

Abstract

Communication barriers are often the main cause of coordination issues in Islamic boarding schools, as experienced by the Ma’hadul Qur’an (MQ) Girls’ Dormitory at the Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Sukorejo Islamic Boarding School. Operational challenges, such as running out of phone credit or unanswered calls, frequently hinder administrators when making a series of calls (hunting)to confirm the study session schedule with the ustadz, ustadzah, and Muallim. In addition, the flow of information from the central dormitory, coordination with the girls’ tahfidz administrators, and cross-sectoral communication with the MQ boys’ administrators tends to be slow. As a solution, this study implemented Voice ovel Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology using a Trixbox server. Through this infrastructure, all members of the administration can communicate with one another via the local Wi-Fi network without incurring call charges. The hunting system was also optimized so that emergency calls coordination between dormitories can be connected immediately and effectively. The result of the implementation demonstrate that the use of Trixbox VoIP has reduced communication bureaucrary at MQ girls, accelerated the coordination of teaching activities, and significantly reduced the dormitory’s operational communication budget.

Abstract

Cocoa farming in Bulungan Regency, particularly in Sajau Village, plays a vital role in supporting the rural economy. However, the management of harvest data still faces challenges, especially due to manual record-keeping, which tends to be inefficient. This study aims to develop a QR Code–based information system called QR Kakao that assists farmers and facilitators in managing and accessing harvest data more quickly, accurately, and in a structured manner. The research employed a qualitative approach through field observations, interviews with farmers and stakeholders, and literature studies. Meanwhile, the software development process adopted the Waterfall model, consisting of requirement analysis, system design, implementation using the Laravel framework, testing, development, and maintenance. The QR Kakao system successfully provides core features such as generating and scanning QR Codes containing information such as farmer identity, farm location, harvest dates, and harvest yield. The implementation of this system offers several benefits, including easier access to harvest information, improved efficiency in data management, and encouragement of digitalization within smallholder cocoa farming. With the support of PT Pesona Khatulistiwa Nusantara, QR Kakao is expected to contribute to a more modern, transparent, and sustainable cocoa farming management system in Sajau Village.

Abstract

As awareness of the importance of health in supporting effective learning processes at school increases, a physical condition monitoring system becomes crucial. This research aims to design and implement an early warning system capable of proactively monitoring students' health conditions. The system integrates a MAX30100 sensor to measure heart rate and blood oxygen saturation (SpO2), and an MLX90614 sensor for non-contact body temperature measurement. Data from both sensors will be processed by a microcontroller to identify anomalies. If one or more of a student's health parameters are detected to be outside the predetermined normal range, the system will automatically send a notification containing the student's health data via an SMS Gateway to school authorities, such as homeroom teachers. This mechanism ensures a quick response to students' health issues within the school environment. The test results show that this early warning system is effective and reliable for accurately monitoring health. The implementation of this system is expected to improve the effectiveness of health monitoring in schools and provide a sense of security to parents.

Abstract

This research aims to design and build an Internet of Things (IoT)-based cash system using an microcontroller integrated with the Firebase Realtime Database. The system is designed to automatically record student deposit transactions using the TCS3200 color sensor, then send the data to Firebase using the ESP32 module. The stored data can be accessed by students in real-time through the Firebase interface. The system workflow begins with attendance using the keypad, followed by students inserting money into the cash register. The TCS3200 color sensor detects the nominal amount of money based on the corresponding color, then the servo motor functions to drop the money into the cash box. The sensor detection accuracy is affected by lighting conditions and the distance between the sensor and the object. The test results show that the system built is able to improve transparency, accuracy, and efficiency in cash management at school, while making it easier for students to make cash payments.

Abstract

Door access security is an essential requirement in modern housing systems. Conventional methods, such as mechanical keys and access cards, are considered less effective due to the risks of loss and duplication. This study designs a smart door system based on face authentication by utilizing ESP32-CAM for image acquisition, a servo motor as the lock actuator, and an OLED display for real-time status visualization. The WebSocket protocol is implemented to support efficient bidirectional communication between the device and the server. The system operates by capturing the user’s facial image via ESP32-CAM, performing verification with a registered database, displaying access status on the OLED, and controlling the servo accordingly. Experimental results indicate that the system achieved a 92.7% recognition accuracy with an average response time of 1.84 seconds. These findings demonstrate that the proposed design effectively enhances both security and convenience of IoT-based door access control.
