Introduction: The nurses' assessment accuracy and confidence in the handling of mass victims of traffic accidents in the prehospital phase was an important success key of subsequent handling of victims when taken to the hospital, and vice versa if there was an error in providing help could be fatal for victims. The purpose of this study was to determine the comparison of face-to-face and watch video simulations of the assessment accuracy and nurses’ confidence in conducting prehospital disaster triage of victims of land traffic accidents using the SALT Triage model.Research Methods: Quasi experimental research with nonequivalent control group design. The sample size was 32 nurses who were divided into 2 groups, namely the face-to-face simulation group and the watch video SALT Triage simulation group. The samples were taken by non-random sampling with purposive sampling technique. Data analysis used was Paired t test and Independent t-testResults: There was no difference in the average nurses’ assessment accuracy and confidence in the face-to-face group with the group watching the simulation video. Statistical test results obtained p value> α = 0.05Conclusion: The sorting mass victims of the SALT Triage model can teach nurses by providing face-to-face or watching a simulation video about SALT Triage. Both ways were equally good at conveying information

Thalassemia is one of blood diseases that genetically inherited suffered by people worldwide, also in Indonesia. The number of people with thalassemia increases every year. Thalassemia could not be cured, however it can be prevented by early detection in premarital screening. The aim of this study was to describe knowledge of premarital couples regarding premarital screening thalassemia. This study was a quantitative research with a descriptive survey to premarital couples in KUA Tembalang, Semarang. The samples were determined purposively. The questionnaire of knowledge and attitude towards thalassemia and pre-marital screening was distributed to respondents, then analyzed descriptively. The result presented in the frequency and percentage. There were 71 couples participated in this study. The result showed that 75.4% of premarital couples have never heard about thalassemia. Only 46.5% of premarital couples have a good knowledge toward thalassemia. Moreover, 40.8% respondents know the right definition about screening. However, more premarital couples did not know that thalassemia could be prevented by premarital screening that they were. It is concluded that couples' knowledge about thalassemia and premarital screening thalassemia was still low. So, knowledge and understanding to thalassemia and early detection – premarital screening are important to ascertain individual status of thalassemia.

A cross-sectional approach used among 53 nurses as a total sampling and 53 clients in the inpatient ward were chosen by purposive sampling. Data collection was done by filling out questionnaires on the quality of nurses' work-life and the quality of care for clients. The findings showed that the quality of nurses' work-life was good (49%) and the quality of care was good (49%). The analysis result by using Chi-square showed that there was a relationship between the quality of nurses' work-life and quality of care (p value=0.009,a=0.05). Research has found that poor nursing care quality is caused by the low quality of work-life. Nurses who had a good quality of nursing work-life would give good quality of care and otherwise. Failure of therapy is a result of bad adherence medication. Non-adherence to therapy is a major factor that is suspected to result in uncontrolled blood pressure in hypertensive patients resulting in more serious complications. Therefore it is important to increase the adherence rate of treatment in patients with hypertension in the treatment process. For this reason, the need for interventions to improve adherence with several aspects that can be changed. This study uses One Group Pretest-Posttest Design using 100 samples. Data derived from questionnaires containing 25 items of adherence to therapy, 5 items of knowledge, 4 items of trust, 3 items of motivation, 10 items of family support with nonparametric statistical tests used were Mc Nemar test. Mc Nemar test results indicate that there is a significant difference between adherence at the pre-test and at the post-test after counseling with a significance value (p = 0,000). The results also showed that there was a difference in knowledge with a significance value (p = 0.001), motivation with a value (p = 0.031) and family support with a value (p = 0,000). The education with counseling about knowledge, trust, motivation and family support is effective in increasing compliance. There are other changeable factors such as lifestyle education, patient doctor relationships, and the use of smartphone applications for self-reported therapy can improve adherence in patients thereby minimizing therapy failure. Other educational methods that can be used besides counseling are counseling and dissemination of social media information.
