Kalimantan N0 37  JemberEmail : 1) retno_p.psik@unej.ac.idTelp: 08175466548ABSTRAKAnak-anak usia sekolah mempunyai kebiasaan kurang memperhatikan perlunya cuci tangan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, terutama ketika di lingkungan sekolah. Perilaku tersebut tentunya berpengaruh dan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam terjadinya penyakit diare. Cuci tangan merupakan tehnik dasar yang paling penting dalam pencegahan dan pengontrolan penularan infeksi. Penelitian ini adalah analisis korelasi. Subyek penelitian anak usia  sekolah di kabupaten Jember dengan teknik cluster sampling yaitu sebesar 300 responden. Analisis data menggunakan uji statistik  spearman. Hasil penelitian perilaku cuci tangan pada anak usia sekolah di Kabupaten Jember pada kategori baik (53,7 %), cukup (41,7 %) dan kurang baik (4, 6 %). Sedangkan insidensi diare pada anak usia sekolah di Kabupaten Jember dalam kategori rendah (59,3 %), sedang (37,7 %) dan tinggi (3 %). Hubungan antara perilaku cuci tangan dan insiden diare diperoleh nilai p = 0,000 yang lebih kecil dari 0,05 dan r = 0,792, maka secara statistik membuktikan ada hubungan yang signifikan antara perilaku cuci tangan dan insiden diare. Kata kunci : Perilaku Mencuci Tangan, Diare, Anak Usia Sekolah ABSTRACTSchool-age children have paying less attention habit to the need for hand washing in everyday, especially when in the school environment.  The behavior could effect and contribute to the occurrence of diarrhea disease. Hands washing is the most important fundamental technique in the prevention and control of infection transmission. This study was the correlation analysis. Research subject are school age children in Jember with cluster sampling technique that is equal to 300 respondents. Data analysis is using Spearman. The results of school age children hand washing behavior in Jember are in good categories ( 53.7 % ), moderate ( 41.7 % ) and poorly ( 4 , 6 % ) . While the incidence of diarrhea in children of school age in Jember in the low category ( 59.3 % ), moderate ( 37.7 % ) and high ( 3 % ) . Relationship between hand washing and diarrhea incidence obtained p value  = 0.000 is smaller than 0.05 and r = 0.792 , statistically it proves that there was a significant relationship between the incidence of diarrhea and hand washing.Key Words : Hand wash Behaviour , diarheae, school age children

Abstract

The quality of care can be influenced by the quality of nurses' work-life which describes the satisfaction of nurses at the workplace. Therefore, this study was aimed to analyze the relationship between the quality of nurses' work-life and the quality of care for patients in the inpatient ward at regional hospitals in Jember Regency. A cross-sectional approach used among 53 nurses as a total sampling and 53 clients in the inpatient ward were chosen by purposive sampling. Data collection was done by filling out questionnaires on the quality of nurses' work-life and the quality of care for clients. The findings showed that the quality of nurses' work-life was good (49%) and the quality of care was good (49%). The analysis result by using Chi-square showed that there was a relationship between the quality of nurses' work-life and quality of care (p value=0.009,a=0.05). Research has found that poor nursing care quality is caused by the low quality of work-life. Nurses who had a good quality of nursing work-life would give good quality of care and otherwise. Therefore, planning strategies to create comfort workplace with improving each dimension of the quality of nurses' work-life is important to improve the quality of care.

Abstract

The national development programme have made since 2000, focused in effort to increase people nutrition. Malnutrition not only stigma that make afraid, this problem connected with the effects of family or country economic. Malnutrition is potentially causing of poorness caused from lower quality of productivity and human resource. Intake of protein become one of alternative to reduce malnutrition cases. Protein is provided in animal and nabati protein. Tahu and tempe are Indonesian traditional food that contain nabati protein. This research used true experimental research with “pretest-postest design” with one intervention. The subject of this research is children under 5 years old with malnutrition in Kalisat Jember. Technical sampling used in this research is purposive sampling while data analysis used paired sample t-test.The experiment group looks increase body weight, with means value 0.4438 after got intervention (additional food tahu-tempe 200 gr per day). The control group have changing weight with means value 0.1250. Based on paired sample t-test with confidence degree 95 %, the t-tabel value 2.131 and t-count value 2.253, with p-value 0.040 (α:0.050). p-value less than the α- value, statistically, it means that Ho refused. So it means that there is an influence of giving additional food (tahu-tempe) to increasing body weight for malnutrition. This research conclude that tahu-tempe have influence to increasing body weight for children under 5 years old with malnutrition in Jember. Etiology of malnutrition are poorness and lower of mother knowledge about nutrition.

Abstract

Outpatient services is one of entrances of health services at the hospital. Generally, people considered the quality of hospital health care services based on the quality of outpatient care. Improving the nursing care quality of can be applied by implementing nursing care standard sice assessment to evaluation of the system through proper nursing care recording. This descriptive study involved 35 nurses as samples. Analysis was using frequency distribution. The instrument is a questionnaire consisting of four categories: definitions, he purposes, principles, and the importance of evaluating nursing documentation. Most of nurses perceive positively four categories of nursing documentation in outpatient of hospital. Generally nurses have good perception on implementing of nursing documentation, but not good on timeless principles. Improper perception will affect on unappropriate behavior to manager expectation. A manager should analyze factors that influence this perception including the factor of individuals themselves, a factor object (implementation of documentation) and work environment that support the implementation of nursing documentation in outpatient of hospital.

Abstract

AbstrakKemampuan memahami dan mendukung emosi orang lain memampukan perawat menerima perasaan klien sehingga akan terbentuk hubungan saling percaya, salah satu wujud perilaku caring. Penelitian deskriptif korelasi ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan dimensi kecerdasan emosional: memahami dan mendukung emosi orang lain dengan perilaku caring perawat menurut persepsi klien. Sampel meliputi 92 perawat pelaksana dan 92 klien. Analisis menggunakan uji Chi-Square dan regresi logistik berganda. Menurut persepsi klien, 54% perawat berperilaku caring dan 59,8% perawat memiliki dimensi memahami dan mendukung emosi orang lain. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara dimensi memahami dan mendukung emosi orang lain dengan perilaku caring perawat. Perawat dengan dimensi memahami dan mendukung emosi orang lain yang tinggi berpeluang 2,567 kali lebih caring. Rumah sakit perlu mengembangkan program pelatihan komunikasi efektif dan terapeutik. AbstractNurse's caring behavior based on high emotional intelligence can encourage the quality of nursing service. The descriptive correlation research with samples of 92 nurses and 92 patients, was to recognize the relationship between dimension of understanding and support of other people's emotions with nurse's caring behavior according to patients' perceptions. An approximately 54 % of nurses are caring and 59,8 % nurses have dimension of understanding and support of other people's emotions. Chi-Square test showed that the dimension of understanding and support of other people's emotions is significantly associated with nurses caring behavior. Nurses who are having high level in this dimension are having opportunity as much as 2,567 times more caring. A training program on effective and terapheutic communication should be developed.

Abstract

Diabetic wound very easily causes complications in the form of infection caused by bacterialinvasion, and hyperglycemia condition boosts the growth of bacteria. One of the bacteria thatcan cause infection in diabetic wound is Staphylococcus aureus. Diabetic wound care can bedone with honey. Honey contains antibacterial, antioxidant and hydrogen peroxide that can killharmful germs. The purpose of this research was to identify the effect of wound care with honeyon Staphylococcus aureus colonization in diabetic wound. The research design used was a preexperimentwith one group pretest and posttest design. Sample was taken using consecutivesampling with 7 respondents. Data analysis applied dependent t-test and obtained p value of0.000 (p value <α = 0.05); it can be concluded that there is an effect of wound care with honeyon Staphylococcus aureus bacterial colonization in diabetic wounds of patients with DiabetesMellitus in work area of Public Health Center of Rambipuji Jember. The suggestion from thisstudy is to apply honey as a wound care agent because it has antibacterial activity that can helpprevent infection and accelerate wound healing.Keywords: wound care, diabetic wound, honey, Staphylococcus aureus

Abstract

Knowledge comes from education, teaching, training and experience. The higher the education of a person, the knowledge level. Will be the knowledge is influential factor in performing a nursing actions, the better the knowledge of nurses the better the action taken by nurses in managing postoperative patients. The design of this research was study correlation with observational analytic study used cross sectional method. The sampling technique used was total sampling. Research sample in this study were 20 nurses in the recovery room, the the data analysis used chi-square statistical test with 95% Cl (α : 0.05) in get (p value : 0.005), these result indicate that p value is lower than the significant level (p <0.05), so there is a correlation between nurse’s knowledge level and nursing actions of postoperative patients with general anesthesia in the recovery room IBS RSD dr. Soebandi Jember. The result showed that 18 respondens (90%) nurses have a good knowledge and 18 respondens (90%) nurses have a good nursing action.Hopefully the leader of the room give support to the nurses in the recovery room so that nurses can improve and increase their knowledge and skills of nursing’ in managing postoperative patients.
