The sampling technique used purposive sampling with 24 samples of cancer patients. The instrument used is the HARS scale (Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale). Data analysis using Wilcoxon Test. Results of the research before the action of majority cancer patients experienced moderate anxiety, whereas after the actions of majority cancer patients experienced mild anxiety. The result of the significance value is 0,000 which is greater than the value of α (0.05). Counclusion from this research is the Qur’an voice theraphy influence to reducing the anxiety of cancer patient’s

Abstract

Introduction: Congestive Heart Failure is the inability of the heart to maintain adequate cardiac output to meet metabolic and oxygen requirements in the tissues despite adequate venous return. Objectives: to analyze a correlation of Congestive Heart Failure discharge planning and readmission after hospitalization. Methods: The study was conducted at ICCU Tidar Magelang hospital with 27 Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) patients who had readmission after hospitalization. The sampling technique was done by consecutive sampling technique. Data analysis in this study used Chi square. Results: The results of the statistical test (Chi Square) show that 1 cell (25.0%) with an expected value <5 means that the cell (box) with the expected value is below 5 is 25.0%. The minimum expected value is 2.96 meaning that there is no expected value <1. Continuity correction with p value = 0.002. The p-value of Fisher's Exact Test = 0.001. The results of the Symmetric Measure table (correlation test) obtained the value of the Contingency Coefficient (r) = 0.561 with a value of p = 0.000.Conclusions: The conclusion of this statistical test is that there is a correlation of Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) discharge planning and readmission after hospitalization.

Abstract

Introduction: Diabetes mellitus is a serious disease and is commonly known as the “mother of disease” because this disease can be a risk factor for various other diseases of the body organs. Some of the consequences of diabetes are an increased risk of hypertension, heart disease, stroke, retinopathy, including diabetic neuropathy. Diabetic neuropathy is a type of nerve damage that occurs due to diabetes. One of the non-pharmacological interventions is ankle pumping. Objectives: This study aimed to analyze the effect of ankle pumping on changes in ABI values in diabetic neuropathy patients. Methods: This research comprised a Quasi-experimental research design with one group pretest-posttest—a total of 69 respondents were taken using the total sampling technique. Ankle pumping intervention is given to diabetic neuropathy patients at Massenrampulu Hospital in June-August 2020, two times a day for three consecutive days (@ 15 minutes). Results: From this study, the majority of respondents were seniors (n=31, 44.9%), female (n=42, 60.9%). Before the intervention, most respondents (68.1%) showed an abnormal ABI value at <0.90 for 47. Furthermore, after the intervention, more than half of respondents (69.6%) were on Borderline 0.91-0.99 for 48. The Wilcoxon test results significantly affect the ABI value before and after the intervention with a sig value of p = 0.003. Conclusions: There is a significant effect of ankle pumping therapy on changes/increases in ABI values in type-2 DM patients with neuropathy at Massenrempulu General Hospital, Enrekang District.

Abstract

Introduction: Case-based learning is often used to maximize critical thinking skills by matching clinical cases with the body of knowledge. The use of applications that can be accessed anywhere can be an innovative learning media solution. Therefore an application called e-KOM was designed to support learning for nurse students in preparing for competency tests. Objective: This study at developing e-KOM as a learning media in clinical learning with the Tele Contextual Study method: Unfolding Case Study. Methods: The research design method used the Research and Development method. Based on Borg and Gall's stages, the researchers modified it according to the application's needs as a learning medium. They adapted the ADDIE development model, namely Analysis, Design, Development or Production or Implementation or Delivery and Evaluations. Results: This study showed that the application's feasibility level was based on validation by material and media experts. The average score of 4.4 is in the feasible category, while the user's assessment is at an average score of 85.76%, which means it is easy to use. Conclusions: e-KOM, as a nursing student learning application, is expected to improve student's learning outcomes and improve the statistical graduates in Nursing Competencies Test.

Abstract

Introduction: Colorectal cancer patients have a variety of impacts after the colostomy such as skin irritation, problems with odors, and fears of pouch leaks that will affect daily life. Patients must be able to adapt to new situations due to ostomy so that they can undergo daily activities as usual. This study aims to explore the experience of colorectal cancer patients' adaptation to the ostomy. Materials and Methods: Research was conducted with a qualitative design grounded theory approach with semi-structured interviews on six participants (one man and five women) who were taken purposively with criteria to have an ostomy for more than 4 months at the General Hospital in Padang. After the data is collected, then the data were analyzed using grounded theory by doing open coding, axial coding, and selective coding and determining the core categories. Results: The research obtained the core category of patient’s adaptation to ostomy based on Roy's adaptation theory with two selective codings, among others, the impact of ostomy as a stimulus in patients and coping mechanisms carried out including social support from family, friends, health workers, and ostomates who help patients overcome psychosocial impacts. Conclusion: This study shows the process of ostomate adaptation to the impact of ostomy with various strategies as well as the presence of social support.
