Abstract

Introduction:  The entire world is experiencing the COVID-19  crisis at this time. Hospitals must determine steps to keep treating COVID-19 patients while still provide optimal service by minimizing the risk of COVID-19 transmission. Health workers feel tremendous pressure because of their work. Managing mental and psychosocial health is as essential as maintaining physical care for frontline health workers. Objectives:  The Research aimed to identify the mitigation of COVID-19 from the spiritual, psychosocial, and physical aspects and its effects on anxiety disorder in health workers in health services. Methods:  The research type was analytic observational and cross-sectional design with cluster random sampling technique using dichotomy multivariate regression analysis,  The research instrument used by google form is submitted through the whats app questionnaire DASS 21. The respondents were 99 health workers at Muhammadiyah Hospital and Aisyiyah Hospital Ponorogo. Results:  The results show that 70.8% did not have an anxiety disorder, 22.1% had mild anxiety, 6.1% had moderate anxiety, and 1% had severe anxiety. 47% of health workers applied spiritual mitigation well, 84.9% had good psychosocial comfort, and 51.1% had good physical relief.  There was an effect of mitigation of COVID-19 in the spiritual, psychosocial, and physical aspects of health workers in dealing with Anxiety Disorder in the New Normal Era in the Health Service. Conclusions: Covid-19 can affect health service procedures and the quality of health for health workers. This condition is one of the efforts to ensure the safety of health workers by paying attention to spiritual, psychosocial, and physical aspects; in this case, the management of hospital human resources in dealing with a pandemic is excellent so that it has a positive impact on anxiety disorder incidents for health workers in the hospital environment.

Abstract

Introduction: The psychological changes felt by pregnant women, one of which is anxiety, especially during the current Covid-19 pandemic. Prenatal anxiety, whether during a pandemic or not, is a risk factor for the emergence of pregnancy health complications for the mother and the fetus. Objective: This study aims to describe the level of anxiety of pregnant women during the pandemic at Banyuurip Frans Sudjiati Midwives Private Midwife Center, Surabaya. Method: The design of this study is descriptive with the research population of pregnant women who check their pregnancies at Banyuurip Frans Sudjiati Private Midwife Center. The sampling technique used simple random sampling with a sample size of 35 respondents. The instrument of this study used the PRAQ-r2 (Pregnancy-Related Anxiety Questionnaire-Revised 2) measurement tool. Result: The results showed that 48.9% of pregnant women had moderate anxiety, 42.9% mild anxiety, 5.7% not anxious, and 2.9% severe anxiety. Conclusion: The coronavirus pandemic indeed increases anxiety in pregnant women which will need to be addressed to avoid negative impacts on the mother and unborn child in Banyuurip Frans Sudjiati Private Midwife Center, Surabaya

Abstract

Introduction:  Academic stress is an individual condition that arises because of the many pressures or academic demands that exceed their capacity to feel burdensome. Objectives:  This study aimed to determine the factors that influence the level of academic stress among Santri at the Ruhul Islam Anak Bangsa (RIAB) Islamic boarding school in Aceh Besar. Methods This study used an analytic survey with a cross-sectional approach.  This study's population were students of Madrasah Aliyah who were in class II at the Ruhul Islam Anak Bangsa Islamic boarding school, 246 students. The sampling technique used a total sampling technique. Analyze data using statistical tests: Chi-square test and multiple logistic regressions.  Results:  The results indicate that self-efficacy is associated with academic stress levels (p-value 0.040), hardiness is related to academic stress levels (p-value 0.039), achievement motivation has no relationship with academic stress levels (p-value  0.262), and optimism is related to academic stress levels (p-value 0.043). Conclusions:  This study concluded that hardiness is the most dominant factor related to academic stress among Santri at the Ruhul Islam Anak Bangsa (RIAB) Islamic boarding school in Aceh Besar (OR: 0.778).

Abstract

Introduction:  The condition of the corona virus makes a new change for children starting from learning methods that require a brave system and clean and healthy living habits (PHBS) in everyday life. Objectives: The objective of this research was to find out the correlation between the parents’ behaviors and the clean and healthy life behavioral habits (PHBS) for children during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods:  This research used a cross-sectional method. This research took samples from mothers with children aged 6-12 years old with a total of 45 participants. They were taken randomly. The data collection used questionnaire filling directly. The data analysis used the spearman-rank correlation. Results The findings showed a significant correlation between the parents’ behaviors and the PHBS of the children. The parents’ behaviors toward of the results are excellent behavior (31%) and poor behavior (19%). The spearman test showed a p-value of 0.000. It indicated the correlation of parents with the clean and healthy life habits of children during the COVID-19 pandemic. Conclusions: The parents’ behaviors became the role model for the children to promote the habits of living clean and healthy every day.

Abstract

Introduction: Colostomy patients face major changes in various aspects that occur due to lack of knowledge, preoperative preparation, and postoperative management. In addition, the implementation of discharge planning was generally in the form of a patient resume but does not evaluate the ability of patients and families to perform colostomy care independently. Objectives: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of structured discharge planning on the readiness of patients undergoing colostomy care. Methods: The descriptive-analytic study quasi-experimental approach post-test only with control group was designed to determine the effectiveness of structured discharge planning towards patient’s readiness in performing colostomy care. Data collection was carried out for 20 colostomy patients selected accidentally. Data analysis was performed by independent t-test. Results: The result found that patient’s readiness in performing colostomy care was significantly increased in the intervention group (p-value 0.008). Conclusion: The structured discharge planning which has been prepared at the beginning of the patient's hospitalization for colostomy patients’ regarding stoma care was highly needed to optimize the ostomate in carrying out colostomy care independently.

Abstract

Introduction: Prediabetes is a condition that will develop into type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (DMT2) within 3-5 years. Glycaemic control is the primary intervention in long-term management, so structured education with appropriate and sustainable media is needed using mobile health technology. Objectives: The development of the "Melpredia" application based on an android application as a media for health promotion and its effect on HbA1c glycaemic control and self-care management. Methods: The Research type was Research and Development (R&D), and model testing using Quasi-experiments with pre-test post-test control group design was carried out for three months from January to April 2021. The purposive sampling technique consisted of 15 intervention groups and 15 control groups. The data were tested using Paired t-test and an independent t-test. The research instrument used by application "Melpredia." Results: The Android-based Melpredia application obtained a percentage of 89% (Fair) and the feasibility test for material aspects with a percentage of 90% (excellent). Using the Melpredia application has the effect of Prediabetes Self-Management Education based on an android application on HbA1c levels of 5.927 ± 0.1831 in people with prediabetes than conventional health promotion (p = 0.001). Conclusions: Application "Melpredia" android based and can effectively improve the HbA1c levels and self-care management of prediabetes in preventing diabetes mellitus by utilizing educational menu, meal planning, physical activity, and reminders use applications. "Melpredia" is more effective than conventional.

Abstract

Introduction: COVID-19 pandemic has become a severe concern in various countries, including Indonesia; the number of sufferers continues to increase every day. All health services cannot accommodate sufferers to provide emergency health services to provide health services Covid-19 sufferers. These things make health workers at the health facilities at the frontline work tirelessly and continue to provide services until they are physically exhausted and may cause psychological stress, fear, stress, and depression. Objectives: This study aims to describe and analyze the factors that cause psychosocial stress on health workers during a pandemic. Methods: The design of this research is descriptive-analytic with a cross-sectional approach. The population taken is health workers in the southern part of Sidoarjo Regency. The sample obtained is 104 health taken by purposive sampling technique. The instrument used in this study was the GAD-7 (Generalized Anxiety Disorder) anxiety questionnaire with 7 question items. Furthermore, the data will be analyzed using the frequency distribution (percentage) and the chi-square test. Results: There was a relationship of age (p=0,013), workload (p=0,014), knowledge (p=0001), and Availability of personal protective equipment (p=0,346) with the anxiety of health workers. Conclusions: Age, knowledge, and workload influence health worker’s anxiety, so that leaders and management at Health Service Facilities to continue to provide mental health and psychosocial support as an effort to prevent and overcome mental stress conditions for health workers at health facilities in carrying out their duties to treat Covid-19 sufferers.

Abstract

Introduction: Trends in sweetened drink consumption increased in the past two years. The ease of technology to order food and beverage through online applications and the increasing number of cafes provide a comfortable place, causing a change in lifestyle and eating patterns whose nutritional value does not meet health standards. Excessive calorie intake will have an impact on health, causing obesity. Objectives: To explore the pattern of sweetened drink consumption and awareness of the risk of obesity among nursing students. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted for three months (June-September 2021). We recruited 88 nursing students. Using the Indonesian version of the Beverage Frequency Questionnaire (BFQ), we collected the data and the obesity knowledge questionnaire by purposive sampling. Total intake of drink in milliliter and calories in kcals were calculated. The data were analyzed through SPSS version 23. Result: Most nursing students' consumption of sweetened drinks was in the high category, with 75 respondents (85%) and 13 respondents (15%) in the normal category. The drinks most often consumed were tea, instant coffee, and flavored milk. Body mass index (BMI) was mainly in the normal category with 47 respondents (53%), 27 respondents (31%) in the fat category, and 14 respondents (16%) in the thin category. Awareness of the risk of obesity, most respondents 72 respondents (81%) have good knowledge of 72 respondents (81%). The respondents' average daily consumption of sweetened drinks was 113 grams per day. Conclusion: The majority of respondents have a high consumption pattern of sweetened drinks even though they have normal nutritional status and are aware of the risk of obesity.

Abstract

Introduction: Covid-19 is an infectious disease that can prevent by vaccination. Covid-19 is a health problem that, if not handled properly, can cause the death of the sufferer. The vaccination program for Covid-19 is a focus carried out throughout the world. WHO stated that a high commitment is needed so that the distribution of the Covid-19 vaccine can be carried out evenly. The Indonesian government also participated in the success of the Covid-19 vaccination program. The vaccination program is a preventive effort carried out so that the community has immunity against Covid-19 However, in the implementation of the Covid-19 vaccination program, there are still those who agree and some who still disagree. People still have doubts administration of this vaccine, and there are even those who doubt the efficacy of the Covid-19 vaccine. Some things that cause people to disagree with the Covid-19 vaccination program are their fright of the vaccine ingredients. Community understanding about the importance of vaccines giving must be increased. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to find out how people perceive the Covid-19 vaccine as an effort to prevent Covid-19. Methods: The design in this study is cross-sectional. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling with a total sample of 153 respondents. This study uses google form as a measuring tool. The bivariate analysis uses contingency coefficients. Multivariate analysis using multiple logistic regression tests with a significant value of 0,05. Results: The results showed that the influencing factors that influenced community perceptions of the Covid-19 vaccine as an effort to prevent Covid-19 were the government's fear of the ingredients of the vaccine (p=0,016), the fear that the vaccine was not halal (0,023), anxiety about the side effects of the vaccine (p=0,014), anxious about news about Covid-19 (0,022), and fear of injections (0,027). The logistic regression analysis showed that anxiety about the side effects of giving the vaccine was the dominant factor influencing community perception of the Covid-19 vaccine with p=0,003. Conclusions: The government was expected to continuously support the vaccination program to prevent Covid- 19. Vaccination was expected to increase the body's immunity.

Abstract

Introduction: the context of the study The new coronavirus COVID-19 is a pandemic disease that currently attacks all countries, including Indonesia, where the number of people who have died in 7.169 cases and those confirmed positive are 165.887 cases. The increasing number of COVID-19 cases in Indonesia has heightened the anxiety and fear experienced by everyone. Objectives: The main objective of this study is to analyze the psychometric properties of the Indonesian translation version of the COVID-19 Fear Scale (FCV-19S) using a sample population in Indonesia. Methods: This study is a cross-sectional instrumental study. The method in this study uses the convenience sampling method. Results: This result showed good internal consistency with the value of Cronbach’s alpha was 0.87. Conclusion: This study indicated good internal consistency. Future research is to evaluate the correlation between other variables. This study could be applied to the Indonesian population to screen fear of Covid-19 during the pandemic.
