Abstract

Abstract The classical relief era in the Nusantara serves as a source of knowledge about the societal conditions during that period, including aspects of attire. Each figure in the relief portrays different attire according to their background and social status in life. However, reliefs cannot directly convey and inform the audience about the actual reality as social facts (fashion trends) of ancient Javanese society. Therefore, this article will examine the forms of attire known by ancient Javanese society based on one archaeological relic in the form of reliefs at the Rimbi temple as one reference in reviewing the development of attire in Nusantara society Abstrak Relief era klasik di Nusantara merupakan sumber pengetahuan tentang kondisi masyarakat pada masa tersebut, termasuk aspek kebusanaan. Setiap tokoh dalam relief memiliki penggambaran busana yang berbeda mengikuti latar belakang dan status sosialnya dalam kehidupan. Meskipun demikian, relief tidak dapat secara langsung hidup untuk mengkomunikasi dan menginformasikan kepada khalayak mengenai kenyataan sebenarnya sebagai fakta sosial (mode busana) masyarakat Jawa Kuno. Oleh karena itu, artikel ini akan menelisik bentuk-bentuk busana yang dikenal oleh masyarakat Jawa Kuno berdasarkan salah satu tinggalan arkeologis berupa relief pada Candi Rimbi sebagai salah satu acuan dalam meninjau perkembangan busana masyarakat Nusantara.

Abstract

Abstract This research discusses the participation of the Royal Batavia Society of Arts and Sciences (KBG) in the 1931 International Colonial Exhibition. The KBG was a cultural institution founded in Batavia in 1778. As a colonial cultural institution, KBG participated in the exhibition as part of the representation of the Dutch East Indies. This research is important because previous studies have not described in depth the process of KBG's involvement in the exhibition. The research uses the historical method, including topic selection, source collection, verification, interpretation, and historiography. The primary sources used are the archives of the Koninklijk Bataviaasch Genootschap van Kunsten en Wetenschappen, the annual report of the KBG’s and the Pieter Adriaan Jacobus Moojen archive. The results showed that the KBG management had violated the institution's principles by lending out its museum collection. They did not fully trust the exhibition committee so they handed over the responsibility of managing the collection to another party. The conditions proposed by the Museum Council were also not all met. As a result, the entire KBG collection that was sent fell victim to the fierce fire when it burned down the Dutch Pavilion. To prevent this from happening again, the board then amended the institution's statutes. Abstrak Penelitian ini membahas tentang partisipasi Koninklijk Bataviaasch Genootschap van Kunsten en Wetenschappen (KBG) dalam Pameran Kolonial Internasional tahun 1931. KBG merupakan lembaga kebudayaan yang didirikan di Batavia pada tahun 1778. Sebagai sebuah lembaga kebudayaan kolonial, KBG turut serta menjadi peserta pameran sebagai bagian dari representasi Hindia Belanda. Penelitian ini penting dilakukan karena studi-studi sebelumnya belum menguraikan secara mendalam mengenai proses keterlibatan KBG dalam pameran tersebut. Penelitian menggunakan metode sejarah dengan lima tahapan, yaitu pemilihan topik, pengumpulan sumber, verifikasi, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Sumber primer yang digunakan adalah arsip Koninklijk Bataviaasch Genootschap van Kunsten en Wetenschappen, laporan tahunan KBG, dan arsip Pieter Adriaan Jacobus Moojen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengurus KBG telah melanggar prinsip lembaga dengan meminjamkan koleksi museumnya. Mereka tidak sepenuhnya percaya dengan panitia pameran sehingga menyerahkan tanggung jawab pengelolaan koleksi ke pihak lain. Syarat yang diajukan Dewan Museum juga tidak semuanya dipenuhi. Akibatnya, seluruh koleksi KBG yang dikirim menjadi korban ganasnya api ketika membakar Paviliun Belanda. Agar tidak terulang kembali, pengurus kemudian mengamandemen statuta lembaga.

Abstract

Abstract Traditions are part of society because they are born from the patterns and procedures of people's lives, so that traditions become the identity of the people who have them. This article was written to export the local traditions of the people of Sungai Liuk Hamlet, namely the Masoak tradition. The research method uses descriptive qualitative, the type of research is ethnography. Research sources were obtained by observation, interviews and documentation. The Masoak tradition is a local tradition of the Sungai Liuk Hamlet community which is carried out by individuals who perform the sacrificial service on the Eid al-Adha holiday. The Masoak tradition is based on jokes between communities, but contains high kinship values. This traditional procession is carried out by saying the name, title or nickname of a person who has a family relationship with the person performing the sacrifice or implementing the Masoak tradition. Apart from that, the Masoak tradition is carried out by relatives who have certain kinship terms according to the kinship terms of the Sungai Liuk Hamlet community. Abstrak Tradisi merupakan bagian dari masyarakat karena lahir dari pola dan tata cara kehidupan masyarakat, sehingga tradisi menjadi identitas masyarakat yang memilikinya. Tulisan ini dibuat untuk mengekspor tradisi lokal masyarakat Dusun Sungai Liuk yaitu tradisi Masoak. Metode penelitian menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif, jenis penelitiannya adalah etnografi. Sumber penelitian diperoleh dengan cara observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Tradisi Masoak merupakan tradisi lokal masyarakat Dusun Sungai Liuk yang diadakan individu yang menunaikan ibadah qurban pada hari raya Idul Adha. Tradisi Masoak berbasis lelucon antar masyarakat, namun mengandung nilai kekerabatan yang tinggi. Prosesi tradisi ini dilakukan dengan cara menyebut nama, gelar atau panggilan dari orang yang memiliki hubungan keluarga dengan orang yang menunaikan ibadah qurban atau pelaksana tradisi Masoak. Selain itu tradisi Masoak dilakukan oleh kerabat-kerabat yang memiliki istilah kekerabatan tertentu menurut istilah kekerabatan masyarakat Dusun Sungai Liuk.

Abstract

Abstract Gender bias in Indonesian history education remains a significant issue that requires attention. This research aims to reduce such disparities by exploring the often-overlooked representation of women's roles. Using a descriptive qualitative method and a literature review approach, this study analyzes the historiography dominated by patriarchal perspectives in 10th-grade high school history textbooks, specifically on the topic of the Islamic kingdoms in Indonesia. The implementation of feminist pedagogy is carried out to highlight the issue of gender inequality in historical narratives. The analysis is conducted within the framework of cultural feminism, exploring Indonesian values and culture to enrich women's narratives. Prominent female figures in leadership, military, politics, law, and economics are highlighted to create a more inclusive narrative. The findings of this study are expected to contribute to the development of gender-sensitive teaching materials that align with a more flexible and contextual curriculum paradigm. Abstrak Bias gender dalam pendidikan sejarah Indonesia masih menjadi isu signifikan yang memerlukan perhatian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengurangi ketimpangan tersebut dengan mengeksplorasi representasi peran perempuan yang sering terabaikan. Menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dan pendekatan studi pustaka, penelitian ini menganalisis historiografi yang didominasi oleh perspektif patriarki dalam buku teks sejarah kelas X SMA pada materi tentang masa kerajaan Islam di Indonesia. Penerapan pedagogi feminis dilakukan untuk menyoroti isu ketidakadilan gender dalam narasi sejarah. Analisis dilakukan dalam kerangka feminisme kultural, menggali nilai-nilai dan budaya Indonesia untuk memperkaya narasi perempuan. Tokoh-tokoh perempuan yang berperan penting dalam bidang kepemimpinan, militer, politik, hukum, dan ekonomi diangkat untuk menciptakan narasi yang lebih inklusif. Temuan penelitian ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi pada pengembangan bahan ajar berperspektif gender yang sejalan dengan paradigma kurikulum yang lebih fleksibel dan kontekstual.

Abstract

Abstract The article aims to identify the impact of the application of mobile learning media on the history of defending Indonesian independence in Lamongan Regency 1948-1949 on the understanding of local history of class XI students at MAN 1 Lamongan. This research uses a quantitative method with an experimental study approach, and the design used is One Group Pretest-Posttest, by measuring the results of the pretest before treatment and posttest after treatment. The study population was the XI grade students of MAN 1 Lamongan, while the sample consisted of 36 students of class XI IPS 1 who had studied this material. This study used cluster sampling technique and data analysis with paired sample t-test and met the prerequisite test with Shapiro-Wilk method. The results showed an increase in understanding of local history, which was reflected in the pretest of 63.89 and posttest of 80.69. Hypothesis testing showed a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000

Abstract

Abstract This research to implement a multidimensional approach in history learning to strengthen historical thinking skills in class XI IPS 1 students of SMA Labschool Untad Palu. The research method used in this study is qualitative research, the data collection process is carried out starting from observation, interviews, and documentation. The results obtained from this study are that students are able to achieve historical thinking indicators including chronological thinking, historical understanding, historical analysis and interpretation, historical research skills, and historical issue analysis and decision making. The application of a multidimensional approach helps develop deeper historical thinking skills, broadens students' horizons, and improves their ability to assess historical information critically and objectively. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan pendekatan multidimensional dalam pembelajaran sejarah guna memperkuat keterampilan berpikir sejarah pada peserta didik kelas XI IPS 1 SMA Labschool Untad Palu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif, proses pengumpulan data dilakukan mulai dari observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah peserta didik mampu mencapai indikator berpikir sejarah meliputi berpikir kronologis, pemahaman sejarah, analisis dan interpretasi sejarah, kemampuan penelitian sejarah, serta analisis isu sejarah dan pengambilan keputusan. Penerapan pendekatan multidimensional membantu mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir sejarah yang lebih mendalam, memperluas wawasan peserta didik, serta meningkatkan kemampuan mereka dalam menilai informasi sejarah secara kritis dan objektif.

Abstract

Abstract Studying history is not only about learning about the past, but also must be able to foster historical awareness in students. So history learning needs to be designed in such a way as to grow and increase historical awareness. The aim of this research is to design the development of an interactive e-book on Islamic heritage material in Tuban. In this article the method used is Rapid Application Development (RAD) which includes requirements planning (preparation), design and testing, and implementation (implementation stage). The results of this research show that the use of E-IPIT can provide interesting and contextual history learning so that it can increase students' historical awareness. Abstrak Belajar sejarah tidak hanya belajar mengenai masa lalu, namun juga harus mampu menumbuhkan kesadaran sejarah dalam diri siswa. Sehingga pembelajaran sejarah perlu dirancang denga sedemikian rupa untuk menumbuhkan serta meingkatkan kesadaran sejarah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membuat perancangan pengembangan e-book interaktif materi peninggalan Islam di Tuban. Dalam artikel ini metode yang digunakan adalah Rapid Application Development (RAD) yang meliputi tahap requirements planning (persiapan), design and testing, dan implementation (tahap pelaksanaan). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa penggunaan E-IPIT dapat menghadirkan pembelajaran sejarah yang menarik dan kontekstual sehingga dapat meningkatkan kesadaran sejarah siswa.

Abstract

Abstract Johannes Gijsbertus de Casparis, a Dutch historian and archaeologist, focused on the study of classical Indonesian history. His important contributions through various writings greatly influenced the study of Indonesian paleography and epigraphy. This article uses a literature study with a historical approach to analyze de Casparis' influence in the study of Indonesian history in the period 1948-1990. The research shows that de Casparis' thoughts had a great influence on the development of historical studies, especially in the fields of epigraphy and paleography. One of his works, “Indonesian Inscriptions,” became a major reference in such studies, providing a systematic framework for interpreting inscriptions. In addition, de Casparis was instrumental in mentoring prominent archaeologists such as M. Boechari, who helped advance the National Archaeological Research Center and made it highly regarded by international academics, thus advancing the field of Indonesian archaeology significantly. Abstrak Johannes Gijsbertus de Casparis, seorang sejarawan dan arkeolog asal Belanda, yang memiliki fokus pada studi sejarah klasik Indonesia. Kontribusinya yang penting melalui berbagai tulisan sangat mempengaruhi studi paleografi dan epigrafi Indonesia. Artikel ini menggunakan studi literatur dengan pendekatan historis untuk menganalisis pengaruh de Casparis dalam studi sejarah Indonesia pada periode 1948-1990. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemikiran de Casparis berpengaruh besar dalam perkembangan studi sejarah, khususnya di bidang epigrafi dan paleografi. Salah satu karyanya, "Prasasti Indonesia," menjadi referensi utama dalam studi tersebut, memberikan kerangka sistematis untuk menafsirkan prasasti. Selain itu, de Casparis berperan penting dalam membimbing arkeolog terkemuka seperti M. Boechari, yang membantu memajukan Pusat Penelitian Arkeologi Nasional dan menjadikannya sangat dihargai oleh akademisi internasional, sehingga memajukan bidang arkeologi Indonesia secara signifikan.

Abstract

Abstract In the modern era, technological developments in the field of education are increasingly rapid, especially those that occur in history learning which encourages the emergence of various learning innovations. The purpose of this research is to produce Augmented Reality Infographic learning media products in the historical material of the Colonial Port in Panarukan for class XI IPS students at SMAN 1 Suboh. The method applied in the research is the Borg and Gall model which consists of 10 steps. Then, based Borg & Gall, (1983) on can be simplified on a small scale into 6 steps, including: 1) Research and information gathering, 2) planning, 3) Initial product development, 4) initial field trial and validation stage, 5) product revision, and 6) main field trial. The results of the study showed that the material validation value obtained a percentage of 94.64% and for the results of media validation obtained a percentage of 98%. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to examine the causes of local community resistance in Singosari Village, Gresik, to the construction of Extra High Voltage Transmission Lines (SUTET) by the State Electricity Company (PLN) during the 1992-2006 period, as well as the strategies employed by the residents in defending their rights. The historical method is applied in this research, which includes heuristics, source verification, interpretation, and historiography. The sources used include academic articles, theses, newspapers, and oral interviews with historical figures. The findings show that the conflict was triggered by differing perceptions between PLN and the residents regarding health impacts, land rights, and the economic value of the land traversed by the SUTET. The residents employed various resistance strategies, such as filing complaints, forming alliances, and submitting legal lawsuits. Despite these efforts, the community's resistance did not succeed in changing PLN's stance, which adhered to the principles of legality and claims of national interest. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penyebab resistensi masyarakat lokal di Kelurahan Singosari, Gresik, terhadap pembangunan Saluran Udara Tegangan Ekstra Tinggi (SUTET) oleh Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) selama periode 1992-2006, serta strategi yang digunakan warga dalam memperjuangkan hak mereka. Metode sejarah digunakan dalam penelitian ini, meliputi heuristik, verifikasi sumber, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Sumber yang digunakan mencakup artikel ilmiah, tugas akhir, surat kabar, dan wawancara lisan dengan para pelaku sejarah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konflik ini dipicu oleh perbedaan persepsi antara PLN dan warga mengenai dampak kesehatan, hak atas tanah, dan nilai ekonomi tanah yang dilalui SUTET. Warga menggunakan berbagai strategi perlawanan, termasuk mengadu, membangun aliansi, dan mengajukan gugatan hukum. Meskipun telah melakukan berbagai upaya, resistensi masyarakat tidak berhasil mengubah sikap PLN, yang berpegang pada dasar legalitas dan klaim akan kepentingan nasional.
