Abstract

This study analyzed several employee turnover factors, such as satisfaction, organizational commitment, and religiosity, to predict the employees’ intention to stay. Very few studies in the Muslim context have explored such a corporate attitude from the viewpoint of job satisfaction and organizational commitment. This study employed a quantitative and descriptive research design. A survey was used to analyze the correlation between some predictors of the employees’ intention to stay. In particular, it attempted to show that religiosity affected both job satisfaction and organizational commitment either directly or indirectly. The data were obtained from 150 employees in some Islamic universities in Malang. The findings revealed that (1) job satisfaction was influenced by religious beliefs. (2) job satisfaction significantly affected the employees' commitment. (3) religiosity gave an indirect positive impact to the corporate commitment through job satisfaction, and 4) religiosity was positively related to the employees' intention to stay. Regarding this, the employees who keep the religious belief in the workplace are encouraged to bring themselves to perform excellently.

Abstract

There are three aspects of competitive strategy that can be applied by manufacturing companies: quality, cost, anddelivery time. Actually, it is hard to produce high quality poducts in low manufacturing cost and on time delivery. Hence, a process selection is needed to integrated the three aspects above in order to meet a customer requirement. This research develops a process selection model to minimize manufacturing cost, quality loss cost, and lateness cost considering component spesification, delivery time, production capacity, and customer order. A numerical example is given to show the application of the model using an assembly product that consists of three components. Three machines are used to produce all of the components. Each machine has different characteristic in manufacturing cost, tolerances, and processing time. Total cost that used to produce 100 unit assembly product is Rp5.390.970,00.

Abstract

Organizations design some strategies to win the competition. This paper discusses the design of market strategies to achieve harmony between value-based segmentation and marketing mix.  The strategy's implementation starts with segmentation, targeting, and positioning. The clothing company ("M") was selected as a research object. Identification of market segments using cluster analysis while determine the target market using the AHP and Delphi method. Besides, Bull's eye research was used for product positioning. The results show that "M" customers are classified into two groups, referred Big Spenders and Discount Finders. Big Spender selected as the primary target market with a focus on size and durability. The marketing strategy focuses on Instagram and Facebook.  As a result, the ads developed prototypes have proven to be better.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the level of achievement of the organization, performance in education, especially within the scope of a faculty. By using this IPMS method, it has been established over 32 objective strategy to be achieved that were summarized into 9 (nine) aspects are perspectives that exist on the SMART System Model. From the analysis of the priorities that had been made, there are five main factors that became the focus of attention and a critical indicator of success in achieving the vision and mission set by the “X” Faculty. From the measurements that had been performed Faculty performance index values were 3.72 level. Referod to a standard level of achievement, it could be concluded that the achievement of the Faculty “X”, was still far from the expected target, at the 8 to 9 level.

Abstract

The research was aimed to determine the effect of the form of dry food products, and final processing of sweet potatoand their interaction, on the nutrition content, resistant starch of the products, and the increasing level of blood glucoseof mice after consuming the products. The method of the research was based on the completed random design with thefactorial experiment two factors were experimented, the first factor was the form of dry food products with four kinds of theproduct from namely: crispy, chip, cracker and snack. The second factor was final processing with two kinds of methodswere experiment was done using so nice which divided into eight blocks of combination treatments of the experiments. The crispy form of dry sweet potato product and final processed by oven roasting was the best product which could suppress the increasing level of blood glucose of mice to 8 mg/L and has resistant starch of about 39.29%. This product also had the best nutrition content such as content of protein, lipid, total sugar and starch of about 3.42%, 1.79%, 7.98%, and 50.02%.

Abstract

Regression model in which the regressand evokes a yes or no or present or absent response are known as dichotomous, or dummy, dependent variable regression models. They are applicable in a wide variety of fields and are used extensively in survey or census-type data. Among the methods that are used to estimated such models, this paper considered three-LPM, logit and probit.

Abstract

Composite is arranged from material with function as matrix that has weaker characteristic and material with filler function that has a function to transfer force from load in matrix. Plastic has more advantages than other materials;those are, able to be formed finely, light in weight, easy to get and the price is cheaper relatively. However, the problem is the filler that is involved here is still using fiberglass in which it will disturb human health. Alumina dust used here is Merck by particle size of > 0.063 mm, to get nano size then it would be mixed by Mixer Ball Mill for 50 hours and would be measured for dust grain size with particle size analyzer (PSA), then it is dehydrated in the oven by temperature of 80° C. The percentage of nano alumina for each are 1%, 2%, 3%, 4% ,5%,6% and 7%. Furthermore, it is mixed with PP plastic grain that is conducted by internal mixer to ensure the material distribution evenly, then it is poured in hoper in injection moulding machine that is operated in the temperature of 170° C and is injected in sample test moulding. The result of characterization of tensile strength, modulus elasticity and tensile show the decrement by addition of 2–3% of nano alumina in polypropylene matrix.

Abstract

One of the main issue in improving the customer service is how to deliver the product on time to customers. Therefore, the stakeholders need to apply an appropriate strategy in order to make distribustion process become more efficient and effective. Because it is hard to determine appropriate schedule and route when dealing with a lot agents, PR 567 as a representative distributor of cigarette in Purwodadi attempts to make its distribution process better. This was done by using PVRP (Periodic Vehicle Routing Problem) model with cluster first-second route approach and optimization method for assigning vehicle. The result of this research were frequency, schedule, and route with the most minimum transportation cost. In this research, the distribution area was defined into two cluster. The best delivery frequency for cluster one was once week, while cluster two was three times a week. The transportation cost was Rp725805/week. In the other hand, the saving cost was Rp320189/week or 44%/week from the initial cost.
