Abstract

In this paper we consider a single buyer-single manufacturer- single supplier supply chain problem where there are multiple deliveries for one buyer’s order and the manufacturer produces in a multiple integer of deliveries quantity. We also consider a lot size of raw material procurement which can be split from production batch. From numerical example we found that a value of material conversion factor and delivery frequency influences the total inventory cost . A high value of material conversion factor would make the buyer’s total inventory cost increase and the manufacturer’s total inventory costdecrease. High frequency of delivery would make the buyer’s total inventory cost decrease and the manufacture’s total inventory cost increase.

Abstract

PT GMF Aeroasia Tbk. is the largest MRO company in Indonesia. This company has 67 plants worldwide. With the many plants that must be serviced, the complex process of repairing aircraft with spare parts that exceeds 15,000 types. Part distribution is a very big challenge and must be faced by companies where part distribution is done with multi-stage warehouses. At present the main warehouse has problems with the inefficiency of the min-max distribution system at each plant where the system aims to bond the parts that have the greatest frequency of demand to the sub-warehouse at the plant. This study discusses the improvement of Min-Max distribution with ABC Analysis NG-Model Multiple Criteria which aims to improve the efficiency of the list part number with the frequency of order transfer requests and the most optimal performance at 9 internal plants with the largest part demand activity. The proposed method is known to be able to increase min-max accommodation including, Transfer Order frequency from 23% to 40.80% and weekly delivery performance from 22% to 62.69%. In addition, this method can also reduce the amount of part number on Min-max with the results of Transfer Order accommodation and increased performance from the methods currently used.

Abstract

In this paper, we consider a joint economic lot size (JELS) model consisting of single vendor single buyerwith single product. We intend to study the impact of defective items and controllable production rate onthe model. The demand in buyer side is assumed to be stochastic. The delivery of lot from vendor to buyer is conducted under equal size shipment and the lead time is assumed to be constant. The defective items founded by the inspector in buyer side are carried in buyer’s storage until the next shipment and will be returned to the vendor. The goal of the proposed model is to determine optimal delivery frequency, review period and production rate by minimizing the joint total cost. A sensitivity analysis is performed to show the impact of the changes of the decision variables on model’s behavior. The result from the sensitivity analysis shows that the joint total cost is sensitive to the changes of defect rate, demand uncertainty and demand rate.

Abstract

Abstract[Improvement of IKM XYZ Production Process Based on the Regulations of CPPB-IRT, WISE, and SJH LPPOM MUI] Food Safety is an important thing to note in the middle of the development of the food industry in Indonesia. UU RI Number 12 of 2012 mandates that food safety can be maintained by paying attention to hygiene and sanitation programs, work system design, and also occupational safety and health in the production process of an industry. The thing that is closely related to food safety is halal practice. Halal is a guarantee of food safety because the implementation of halal means getting rid of things that are harmful to humanity and the environment. The obligation for every product that entered, circulated, and traded in Indonesian territory for halal certification are listed in Article 4 of UU RI Number 33 of 2014 concerning Guaranteed Halal Products. This study aims to identify the condition of food safety and halal practice in IKM XYZ based on the regulations of Cara Produksi Pangan yang Baik Industri Rumah Tangga (CPPB-IRT), Work Improvement in Small Enterprises (WISE), and Halal Assurance Certification of LPPOM MUI, and also to compile improvement proposal based on the identification results. The identification results show that in the IKM XYZ production process, there are 18 elements that not following CPPB-IRT regulations, 10 elements that are not following WISE regulations, and 9 elements that are not following Halal Assurance Certification of LPPOM MUI. Based on the results of discussion that have been carried out with the owner and the supervisor of IKM XYZ, elements that are being the focus of improvement can be grouped into 1 main category, that is Program Hygiene dan Sanitasi IKM. So, the improvement proposal that fits is the documentation of Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP).Keywords: CPPB-IRT; food safety; IKM, SJH LPPOM MUI; WISE

Abstract

There are three aspects of competitive strategy that can be applied by manufacturing companies: quality, cost, anddelivery time. Actually, it is hard to produce high quality poducts in low manufacturing cost and on time delivery. Hence, a process selection is needed to integrated the three aspects above in order to meet a customer requirement. This research develops a process selection model to minimize manufacturing cost, quality loss cost, and lateness cost considering component spesification, delivery time, production capacity, and customer order. A numerical example is given to show the application of the model using an assembly product that consists of three components. Three machines are used to produce all of the components. Each machine has different characteristic in manufacturing cost, tolerances, and processing time. Total cost that used to produce 100 unit assembly product is Rp5.390.970,00.

Abstract

In a manufacturing company, manufacturing costs, or component prices, and tolerance will affect the price and the quality of a product. Companies must produce high-quality products with low manufacturing costs in order to keep their products competitive in the market; however, it is difficult to produce a high-quality product with a low manufacturing cost. Companies have difficulties in determining the components to be produced using their own manufacturing facilities (make) or outsourced to their suppliers (buy). Hence, a make or buy analysis is needed to minimize the manufacturing costs and quality loss and to determine the optimum alternative regarding make or buy decisions. This paper discusses an optimization model of a make or buy analysis for a manufacturing company in order to minimize the manufacturing costs and the quality loss in terms of manufacturer and customer quality loss. A numerical example is provided to show the application of the model using a simple assembly product consisting of three components. There are two machines that can be used to produce the components and three alternatives of suppliers to fulfill the order. Each machine and supplier have different characteristics in terms of manufacturing costs and its tolerance.

Abstract

Stand Up Comedy is one of the growing entertainment industries in Indonesia. The quality of the joke of the stand up comedian can be seen from the audience's response in the form of laughter and facial expressions. But it is very difficult to determine the audience's laughter level manually. Therefore, a tool is needed to measure the audience's laughter level more objectively. In this study, a machine learning model was designed and developed using a convolutional neural network to analyze the facial expressions of the stand-up comedian audience. The research stages include dataset collection, data preprocessing, model design, model training and model testing. The model was tested using artificial data from crowd emotion and live data from video crowd viewers. The results of this study show that the model can classify facial expressions in image and video data well. The model has an overall validation accuracy value of 72.42% with precision, recall, and F1-score values of 0.7341, 0.7309, and 0.7294, respectively, and a testing accuracy of 83.28% with precision, recall, and F1-score values of 0.8477, 0.8329, and 0.8297, respectively.
