This paper is the result of a research that aimed to evaluate the quality of services at Patra Semarang Convention Hotel by using the Service Quality (SERVQUAL) and Importance Performance Matrix, and provide corrective suggestions for improving service quality on some priority attribute by using Quality Function Deployment (QFD) in order to clarify the follow-up should be done to close the gap that happened between acceptable and what is expected by the customer. In this paper, evaluation of service quality is assessed through five gaps (gap 1untill gap 5) that occurred. This evaluation is done by distributing questionnaires to customers (110 respondents) and to the employee (85 respondents). Then, the results of these evaluation are placed in the quadrants contained on Importance Performance Matrix (IPM) (mapped) in order to capture the attributes that really matter to the satisfaction of the customers but their performance is still very low (negative). Result of this mapping shows that the Patra Semarang Convention Hotel should focus its quality improvement services to the five important attributes, i.e: easiness to access the information from internet, clarity of delivery of new information by employee, cleanliness of the hotel, availability of adequate parking area, and speed of employees in responding to the consumer complaints. All this important attributes will be a priority in product planning for improvements the quality of services provided.

Based on industrial competition nowadays, production quality occurs to be the main concern of severals top companies. Method of machine maintenance is a way to incresing their production quality. Nowadays, several companies still using a corrective maintenance to maintain their machine, which is all of machine maintenance only be performed if the machine damaged. This thesis only focus to high frequency stitching machine. This thesis using Reability centered maintenance method to obtain optimum maintenance interval. This method gathers 7 step of data processing, starting from data selection, determinating restricions of the system, descripting the system and function of block diagram, and then FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis) and LTA (Logic Tree Analysis). The result of this method is a correct maintenance action for critical components that included in condition directed and time directed categories. Qulitative analysis for Reliability Centered Maintenance method includes types indectification of maintenance, cause of damage and the occuring failure. Resul of the research contain several maintenance actions for critical components using condition directed method and critical component replace schedule using time directed method. From the suggested system maintenance simulation with RCM method, downtime can be decrease until 47,83%.

Productivity is very important for the company as a way to monitor the production performance. Productivity measurement is performed to determine the level of productivity performance of the company and can be used as guideline for continuous improvement. Similarly, the environmental aspect has become an important and strategic issues that must be addressed by the industry well and improved its performance continuously. In order to improve productivity while lowering environmental impact the company need to use Green Productivity model approach. The purposes of this research were to identify factors that affect productivity and environmental performance, as well as providing proposed improvement using Green Productivity method based on the highest value of the Benefit-Cost Ratio (BCR) index. The results showed that the factors that affect productivity and environmental performance are the boiler performance and the wastewater treatment. Therefore to overcome these problems, it was needed an improvement alternative. The improvement alternative proposed were to install Heat Exchanger and DAF (Dissoveled Air Floatation). From the estimated contribution, the chosen alternative could provide a significant increase in the productivity index of boiler at 103.64% better than the initial condition and productivity index of oil waste by 104.18% better than the initial condition, also there were decreased level of CO level at 0.19 and 0.17 for oil and fat.

Production goods, in this case paving stone is result from a production process have characteristic depicting performance. Producer as producer of product try the to product performance can fulfill expectation and desire of consumer. To improve the quality of paving stone, operator perform examination by setting change to factors having an effect on according to empirically and manual book. Factors having an effect on the among others : cement portland, water, sand, and also stone ash. Intention of this research is to specify maximum setting of factors in control having an effect on by isn?t it to value of variability strong depress paving stone, was so that got by strong measure depress the smallerness and or come near 200 kg/cm2. This research was done at process of paving stone. Experiment device the used is experiment device with method of Taguchi with model of matrix orthogonal array of L27 (313). And then done by confirmation experiment is stipulating of optimal setting of experiment of Taguchi. Analysis Data done pursuant to optimise of combination of level strong mean factor depress and paving of Signal Noise Ratio to ( Ratio of S/N). Analysis result indicated that cement of portland, water, sand, and stone ash having an effect on by isn?t it to strength depress paving stone. Maximum Setting reached at combination cement level 1 (0.37 kg); irrigate level 1 (0.2 lt); sand (1.9 kg) and stone ash of level 1 (0.8 kg). By using maximum setting, confirmation experiment result yield strength depress maximum paving, that is 189.3 kg/cm2. Value yielded at composition is 1.283.

The company is required to continue to grow. This research uses Business Model Canvas method. Business Methods Canvas model is done with several stages of internal and external analysis using IFE and EFE matrix and SWOT Analysis. The next step is to weight using AHP method to get a strategy, then give variety with Canvas Business Model. The Canvas Business Model covers nine blocks, Customer Relationships, Key Partners, Value Propositions, Customer Segments, and cash flow, key resources (key resources), key activities (key activities) and cost structures (cost structures). The result of the research shows strategy with Business Model Canvas can effectively and efficiently in determining company strategy.

This research is considered as 'action research' which was tried to analyze the problems of aetheric oil industry made of Cananga flower. Research was held in Blitar Regency, East Java, as one of center aetheric oil production in Indonesia,which has potential to increase its production up to international scale. Based on this perspective, it was important to build such community empowerment based on integrative-participative model through business industry groups with basic characteristic non-corporate as suitable alternative for the development of Cananga farmer community. The results of this research were enhance distilation process, dealing with the waste from the distilation process, expanding the business unit of aroma therapy as the main product and also improving business mentality through some training activity for business motivation building.

The hip joint is one of the most often used joints by humans in their activities. The hip joint can be impaired if an accident or an illness such as osteoarthritis-affected. It makes the patients need to get implants to restore their productivity. The implant must be biocompatible, bioactive, and have high strength and resilience to prevent damage. The implants in this study were made from 304 Stainless Steel. One of the stages in making implants is the electroplating process. The electroplating method implemented is hard chrome. Some operating conditions that are considered to affect the electroplating process and are used as independent variables are the concentration of chromic acid, electrical voltage, and length of coating time. This study aims to Optimization of Electroplating Thickness Quality at Hip Joint Implant. This study uses the Taguchi method to design the experiment and to obtain the optimum electroplating thickness results. ANOVA is used to obtain the influential prediction of the significance level. Process ANOVA was helped Minitab 16. Based on the ANOVA, it is known that the most significant factor for the electroplating thickness is the concentration of chromic acid, the voltage, and the least influential factor is the electroplating time.

Corn seed is one of the product types of PT Bisi where they have. At this time, the industries indicated to conduct waste to their production process. the problem clearly can be seen to the less controlling the germinator machine, drying process up not work as over time waiting and over production so the pilled product up at warehouse. From that problems cause the industry realizes loss of financial and the time aspect. The mainly objective this research was to decrease the incjjIciency effect in subtracting the waste happened. Then, the using Lean-Six Sigma concept is integration between Lean concept and focus which eliminate the waste and slightly process have not needed by emphasize to speed process and Six-Sigma concept that focus to push variance process on to acquire the passing level zero defect (0%) in getting satisfaction costumers. the steps of this research are dcfIne identification the problems, measure determines problems that influence used VALSAT to select appropriate tools to find critical quality of waste and analyze contains /Ish bone diagram help to find primary problems that cause the waste and improve is Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) to aid determining the alternative suggestion will be given. From the define step, measure and analyze had known that waste happened in the industry was excess processing, waiting and over production so that it appeared repairing suggestion that was given on improve step which checked to germinator machine, controlled suitable drying time in minimize the waiting and gave actual information toward change market order to limit over production. With decrease the waste would be hoped to create effectively corn seed production process with performance better and slightly.

This research will apply value engineering study in planing roof Astructure of UMM's Multi Function Building (GSG). The planing includes roof geometry and material used as roofcover and skeletons. Steps taken includes information stage that have goal in determining criteria necessary in planing the roof structure and weight of the criteria,creativity stage in which we will develop roof structure altematives as many as possible by using FAST diagram,and then evaluation stage in which we will make assessment on those altematives by using feasibility and evaluation matrix, performance calculation,and calculation of cost required by respective altematives.In development st age we will make value calculation of respective alternatives, inwhich an altemative with the highest value will be chosen as proposal for roof of UMM's Multi Function Building.
