Counseling For All: Jurnal Bimbingan dan Konseling adalah jurnal Peer review yang diterbitkan oleh LPPM UNIRAYA yang didedikasikan untuk semua aspek perkembangan terkini pada bidang bimbingan konseling. Abstract

The use of gadgets among children aged 5 to 14 has increased significantly alongside the advancement of digital technology. This phenomenon has a complex impact on children’s cognitive development, particularly in areas of thinking, concept formation, and logical abilities. This study aims to analyze in depth the influence of gadgets on children’s cognitive development using Jean Piaget’s cognitive development theory as the conceptual framework. The research method employed is qualitative, based on a literature review, examining various literatures, scientific articles, and relevant previous studies. The findings indicate that gadgets can provide benefits in enhancing symbolic learning, creativity, and problem-solving skills in children. Children can use digital media to explore new concepts visually and interactively. However, excessive use of gadgets may reduce social interactions, hands-on play experiences, and physical activities that are essential for cognitive and emotional development. These negative impacts can affect children’s critical thinking, communication skills, and the development of empathy. Therefore, this study emphasizes the importance of guidance and supervision from parents and educators to ensure that children utilize technology optimally. Managing usage time, selecting educational content, and combining digital activities with real social interactions are essential strategies to support balanced cognitive development in children.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic guidance and counseling in enhancing the effectiveness of public health outreach. The research employed a library research method complemented by in-depth interviews with health educators at Giri Mande Community Health Center. The findings indicate that Islamic guidance and counseling can integrate psychological, educational, and spiritual aspects into health outreach activities, creating a more holistic and comprehensive approach. This approach positively impacts individuals’ understanding of their health conditions while fostering healthy lifestyle behaviors and discipline in maintaining good living habits. The integration of Islamic values such as tawakkul (trust and reliance on Allah) and dzikir (remembrance of Allah) also strengthens participants’ mental and spiritual aspects, enabling them to face health challenges with mental readiness and spiritual calm. Moreover, Islamic counseling contributes to comprehensive health education, including mental health, reproductive health, and disease prevention, through a more personal and contextualized approach. Therefore, Islamic guidance and counseling not only serve as an educational medium but also as a tool for empowering individuals to achieve physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. This study emphasizes that integrating spiritual values into health outreach is an effective strategy for promoting public health comprehensively

Abstract

This study is motivated by the high level of psychological stress experienced by families of critically ill patients at RS PKU Muhammadiyah Petanahan. Such stress often manifests as anxiety, fear, uncertainty, and excessive worry related to the health conditions of their family members. These circumstances not only affect the psychological well-being of the families but also have the potential to hinder the optimal support they can provide to the patients. Therefore, an effective accompaniment strategy is needed one that can provide reassurance, guidance, and spiritual strengthening to the patients’ families. The aim of this study is to analyze the spiritual guidance accompaniment strategies based on an empathic approach applied by spiritual guidance officers at the hospital. A descriptive qualitative research method was employed, with data collected through direct observation and in-depth interviews with spiritual guidance officers as primary sources of information. The research instruments included observation and interview guidelines designed to explore the processes, techniques, and effectiveness of the accompaniment strategies. The findings indicate that empathic accompaniment strategies are highly effective in alleviating psychological stress among patients’ families. These strategies include active listening, using calming language, building emotional closeness, providing spiritual motivation, and adjusting the approach according to each family’s emotional condition. This approach not only fosters mental calmness and resilience but also enhances the families’ reliance on Allah SWT, enabling them to face critical situations with greater serenity and acceptance. These findings underscore the importance of integrating empathic spiritual guidance into healthcare services to support the psychological well-being of families of critically ill patients.

Abstract

This study aims to thoroughly examine the process of internalizing the local wisdom values of Harefa in guidance and counseling (G&C) services to develop students’ integrity-based character in the Nias Islands. The local wisdom of Harefa, or harehare, has a cultural meaning as a place to store guests’ belongings and a philosophical meaning as a symbol of trustworthiness, responsibility, and respect for others. Using a library research approach, this study analyzes various theoretical sources and previous relevant research related to character education based on local wisdom. The findings indicate that integrating local values into G&C services can strengthen the contextual development of students’ character, as these values are deeply rooted in the culture and social life of the Nias community. G&C services that adapt Harefa values through group guidance activities, value reflection, and cultural discussions have been shown to be effective in fostering honesty, responsibility, and respect among students. This study emphasizes that the internalization of Harefa values not only serves as a means of preserving local culture but also functions as a strategic approach to shaping students into individuals with integrity, cultural identity, and strong character. Therefore, the local wisdom of Nias has great potential to serve as the foundation for developing a G&C service model based on regional cultural values.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of group counseling services in a theological higher education institution. It employs a descriptive qualitative research method through Focus Group Discussions (FGD) conducted with ten theology students who participated in group counseling services at the institution. The findings reveal that STD HKBP, as a theological higher education institution, organizes group counseling services for students in various forms, such as academic guidance groups, art groups, creativity groups, dormitory fellowship groups, and class-based groups. Group counseling provides benefits by helping its members grow and develop according to the type of group counseling they participate in. In addition, group counseling contributes to the development of students’ competencies and skills.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of guidance and counseling services and their role in addressing students’ academic and personal problems at SMP Universal School Denpasar. This research used a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The participants of this study were guidance and counseling teachers and several students at the school. The results show that guidance and counseling services are implemented through several programs, including orientation services, information services, individual counseling, group counseling, consultation, and mediation. These services aim to help students understand their potential, increase learning motivation, and develop social and emotional skills. The findings also reveal that students experience several problems such as difficulties in understanding learning materials, low learning motivation, lack of self-confidence, and conflicts with peers. Therefore, the role of guidance and counseling teachers is very important in providing guidance and support so that students are able to overcome their problems and develop optimally.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi bahwa siswa masih belum memperoleh informasi tentang keterampilan manajemen waktu, siswa tidak bisa mengatur waktu belajarnya sendiri, dan masih terdapat siswa yang tidak tepat waktu dalam menyerahkan tugas, kemudian mengabaikan pentingnya disiplin dalam mengatur waktu sehingga terburu-buru dalam mengerjakan dan menyelesaikan tugas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh layanan informasi terhadap keterampilan manajemen waktu belajar siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Maniamolo. Pendekatan yang digunakan pada penelitian metode pre-eksperimen dengan jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 28 orang dengan teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling, sehingga sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 28 orang siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Maniamolo. Adapun instrumen yang digunakan pada peneltian ini yaitu angket tentang manajemen waktu siswa sebanyak 30 item. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu berdasarkan hipotesis penelitian posttest one-sampel test diketahui nilai sig.(2-tailed) adalah sebesar 0,023 < 0.05, di ketahui thitung 2.41378 > ttabel 1.70562, 70113 maka disimpulkan H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima karena hasil uji hipotesis telah memenuhi standar yang diinginkan dan siswa telah memahami pelaksanaan layanan informasi terhadap manajemen waktu. Kesimpulan bahwa layanan informasi berpengaruh terhadap manajemen waktu siswa. Saran, 1) Bagi sekolah, diharapkan penelitian ini akan menjadi evaluasi untuk lebih memperhatikan manajemen waktu siswa pada saat dilaksanakan pembelajaran. 2) Bagi guru BK, agar dapat mengembangkan layanan informasi terhadap manajemen waktu siswa dalam melakukan variasi pada proses pembelajaran. 3) bagi peneliti selanjutnya, penelitian ini dapat menjadi referensi tambahan dalam melakukan penelitian yang relevan.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of optimizing guidance and counseling (GC) services through the integration of Nias local wisdom in enhancing students’ scientific attitudes and problem-solving skills at SMA Negeri 1 Telukdalam. This research employed a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group. The sample consisted of tenth-grade students divided into an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group received guidance and counseling services integrated with Nias local wisdom, while the control group received conventional services. Data were collected using a scientific attitude scale and a problem-solving skills test, administered through pre-test and post-test procedures. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, including paired and independent samples t-tests. The results showed a significant improvement in both scientific attitudes and problem-solving skills among students in the experimental group compared to the control group (p < 0.05). The findings indicate that the integration of Nias local wisdom into guidance and counseling services creates a more meaningful and culturally relevant learning environment. This approach enhances students’ engagement, critical thinking, and ability to solve problems effectively. Therefore, culturally responsive guidance and counseling can be considered an effective strategy to support students’ holistic development.
