Abstract

Guidance and counseling services often rely on human thinking. Guidance and counseling theories are usually built on past experiences. However, in the context of Islamic guidance and counseling, this approach is based on principles that can be found in the Al-Qur'an, the Hadith of the Prophet, as well as human thought processes and experiences. Motivation in a learning context can be increased by creating a pleasant classroom environment, maintaining positive relationships between students, and interacting with students in a friendly way. applying this research method, a qualitative literature review was carried out which discussed the concept of the role of Islamic guidance and counseling teachers in increasing student learning motivation. It was concluded that this motivation can originate from within the individual (intrinsic motivation) or through the efforts of other parties (extrinsic motivation). The role of the Islamic counseling teacher also involves understanding the dimensions and elements of student learning motivation and providing an appropriate Islamic counseling approach to overcome motivational factors in learning.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the use of gadgets regardless of age, especially in early childhood. The impact of gadgets on young children is very large. This research aims to determine the impact of gadgets on young children. This type of research is qualitative research with a case study method. The data source in this research is the community (parents) of early childhood in Eho Hilisimaetano Village. There is data analysis used in the research, namely reduction, data modeling and drawing conclusions. The findings of this research show that there is a negative impact of gadgets on young children, namely: (1) young children are familiar with gadgets; (2) young children are very familiar with gadgets; (3) young children have a large focus on gadgets; (4) young children are fussy when not using gadgets; (5) young children consider gadgets as fun games (6) young children become individuals who are good at imitating; (7) gadgets cause children's habits to change; (8) young children dare to lie or steal time to play with gadgets; (9) young children experience eye health problems; (10) parents deliberately give gadgets to young children. So it can be concluded that gadgets have a negative impact on the growth and development of early childhood. So researchers suggest that parents use the findings of this research as a reference in overcoming the impact of gadgets on early childhood. It is hoped that the Village Head will use this research as an experience so as to encourage the community to be able to overcome and control the use of gadgets in early childhood. And can be used as motivation, a source of reference and knowledge for future researchers, BK students and for UNIRAYA

Abstract

The problem in this research is the impact of online games on the students’ learning achievement, especially in Mathematics subject. The purposes of this research are (1) to describe the impact of online games on students’ learning achievement, dan (2) to describe the students’ achievement at the eleventh grade of SMA Negeri 2 Sidua’ori. The type of this research is qualitative research and descriptive approach. Then, data in this research is the impact of online game on students’ learning achievement. The data source in this research obtained from the results of interview and obtained from school’s documentations. The techniques of data collection in this research are observation, interview and documentation techniques. Furthermore, the data analysis technique is used in this research are data reduction, data display and drawing conclussion. The results of this research show that (1) Online games have the negative impacts on the students’ learning achievement, which the students are so addicted to online games that they ignore learning activities and homework given by the teacher. (2) the students’ learning achievement especially in Mathematicts subject still low, which they obtain the average value is below the KKM (Minimum Completion Criteria). Therefore, the researcher gives some suggestions namely the results of this research should be an evaluation in giving education related the impact of online games on students’ learning achievement through counseling guidance so the students have motivation or enthusiastic learning in joining the learning process in the school.

Abstract

Ada pun tujuan penelitian ini adalah 1) Untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat aktivitas belajar siswa sebelum diberikan layanan bimbingan kelompok, 2) Untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat aktivitas belajar siswa sesudah diberikan layanan bimbingan kelompok, 3) Mengetahui keefektifan bimbingan kelompok dalam meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Fanayama berjumlah 33 orang dengan teknik pengambilan sampel secara total sampling. Instrumen penelitian adalah angket. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa (1) Tingkat aktivitas belajar bahasa Indonesia siswa sebelum diberikan layanan bimbingan kelompok berada pada kategori cukup (50,66%) dengan skor rata-rata sebesar 30,39; (2) Tingkat aktivitas belajar bahasa Indonesia siswa sesudah diberikan layanan bimbingan kelompok berada pada kategori tinggi (69,09%) dengan skor rata-rata sebesar 41,45; (3) Berdasarkan perhitungan zhitung diperoleh nilai zhitung = 6,94 dengan N = 33 dan α = 0,05, karena Zhitung > 0,05 maka hipotesis Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa Hipotesis Ha yang menyatakan Layanan bimbingan kelompok efektif dalam meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Fanayama Tahun Pelajaran 2022/2023 diterima. Maka peneliti mengajukan beberapa saran, bagi guru, hendaknya guru BK menyelenggarakan layanan bimbingan kelompok kepada siswa guna meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa sehingga minat belajar siswa menjadi lebih baik dan bagi sekolah, hendaknya memberikan motivasi kepada guru BK untuk menyelenggarakan layanan bimbingan kelompok kepada siswa yang pada akhirnya siswa akan termotivasi untuk belajar akibat dari informasi yang diterimnya.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat self control siswa sebelum diberikan layanan informasi, tingkat self control siswa sesudah diberikan layanan informasi dan mengetahui efektivitas layanan informasi dalam meningkatkan self control siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Telukdalam. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Jenis penelitian eksperimen dengan desain pre-eksperiment yaitu one-group pretest-posttest design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Telukdalam yang berjumlah 60 orang siswa,dan sampel 18 orang siswakelas VIII-Adan VIII-B dengan teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh tingkat tingkat self control siswa sebelum diberikan layanan informasi berada pada kategori rendah dengan persentase 36-51% dan skor rata-rata 59. tingkat self control siswa sesudah diberikan layanan informasi pada kategori sedang dengan presentase 52-67% dan skor rata-rata siswa 84,88. Hasil uji Hipotesis diperoleh nilai yang artinya ditolak dan diterima. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa layanan informasi efektif dalam meningkatkan self control siswa. Sehingga dapat diketahui bahwa dengan memberikan layanan informasi tentang self control kepada siswa dapat memberikan pemahaman dan peningkatan kepada siswa dalam mengontrol diri menjadi lebih baik. Saran dari peneliti, hendaknya siswa mampu mengontrol diri lebih baik sehingga dapat menjadi siswa yang bisa diteladani dan dapat diterima oleh lingkungan sosial, bagi guru bimbingan dan konseling, hendaknya meningkatkan layanan informasi kepada siswa agar dapat mengembangkan pribadi siswa menjadi lebih baik dan sekolah hendaknya mendukung dan memfasilitasi program layanan informasi oleh guru bimbingan dan konseling guna mewujudkan siswa siswa yang berkualitas dan baik.

Abstract

The problem of this research is the acts of bullying committed by the students of SMP Negeri 3 Mandrehe so the acts itself had an impact on the students’ psychosocial outcomes as victims of bullying. The purposes of this research are; (1) to know the kinds of bullying are done by the students of SMP Negeri 3 Mandrehe, and (2) to know the impacts of bullying on students’ psychosocial at grade of SMP Negeri 3 Mandehe. The kind of this research is qualitative research and and researcher used the descriptive approach. Then, the data in this research are the kinds of bullying and the impacts of bullying on students’ psychososial at grade of SMP Negeri 3 Mandrehe. The data itself obtained on the results of observation that conducted, on the results of interviews that done by researcher to the informants and obtained in SMP Negeri 3 Mandrehe’s documentations. The techniques of data collection in this research are observation, interview and documentation techniques. Furthermore, the data analysis technique is used in this research are data reduction, data display and drawing conclussion. The results of this research show that the kinds of bullying are done by the grade of SMP Negeri 3 Mandrehe are verbal bullying in the forms rants, ridicules and insults. Then, as thye impacts of bullying itself are the students as the victims of bullying felt feir, embarrassed and inferior so those students are not confident involving themselves in activities inside and outside of the classroom. Therefore, bullying can be an negative a negative impacts on students psychosocial as the victims of bullying. Then, as suggestions are proposed by the researcher namely; the results of this research should be used as consideration for improving the morals and ethics of students at school and in the community, and should be used as reference material for future researchers who will conduct the research in the relevant fields.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan pentingnya keterampilan mengingat pembelajaran dalam mengembangkan kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal yang efektif di antara peserta didik dan pengaruh faktor lain seperti latar belakang budaya dan konteks sosial. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode kuantitatif untuk menghubungkan keterampilan mengingat dengan kemampuan interpersonal melalui analisis korelasi. Pengolahan data dilakukan menggunakan aplikasi Excel dan SPSS. Penelitian dilakukan dengan uji validasi terhadap 30 responden yang menjadi subjek penelitian yang ditemukan di MAN Negeri 1 Ogan Ilir. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik terutama kelas X.1 yang menjadi subjek penelitian memiliki keterampilan mengingat pembelajaran dan kemampuan interpersonal yang bagus atau dalam kategori normal sehingga tidak memerlukan bantuan yang responsive untuk mengatasinya. Namun dalam penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa keterampilan mengingat pembelajaran tidak memiliki keterkaitan dengan hubungan interpersonal.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the level of self-concept of class XI students at SMA Negeri 3 Mandrehe Utara before being given group guidance services and after being given group guidance services. Testing the effectiveness of group guidance services in improving the self-concept of class XI students at SMA Negeri 3 Mandrehe Utara. The type of research used is quantitative research with a Pre-Experiment design, namely a one group pre-test-post-test design. The research population and sample were class XI of North Mandrehe 3 Public High School, totaling 35 people. This was proven before implementation on students' concept level which was in the low category and after implementation H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted so that group guidance services were effective in increasing the self-concept of class XI students at SMA Negeri 3 Mandrehe Utara for the 2023/2024 academic year. It is recommended that students take part in group guidance service activities, providing full support to guidance and counseling teachers for the provision of guidance and counseling services by providing supporting facilities and facilities, so that students' positive self-concept can increase.

Abstract

This study analyzes the relationship between mental health and academic stress among students through a systematic literature synthesis and meta-analysis. The meta-analysis of 127 studies involving a total of 89,632 participants reveals a strong positive correlation between academic stress and indicators of mental health, including depression (r = 0.48), anxiety (r = 0.45), and general psychological stress (r = 0.52). Moderator analysis indicates variation in score differences based on gender, geographic region, and time. The identified mediating mechanisms include maladaptive coping strategies, poor sleep quality, and low perceived social support. Furthermore, longitudinal studies demonstrate a lagged effect of academic stress on symptoms of depression and anxiety. On the other hand, meta-analysis of interventions shows moderate effectiveness in reducing academic stress and improving mental health. These findings emphasize the importance of a holistic approach to addressing academic stress and student mental health, consistent with previous theoretical models, such as the diathesis-stress theory and conservation of resources theory. Lastly, the presentation of comprehensive synthesis results and robust quantitative analysis regarding the relationship between academic stress and student mental health identifies previously unexplored moderator and mediator factors. Additionally, the longitudinal perspective on the dynamics of the relationship between these two variables represents another novelty. The results of this study are expected to have implications for educational institutions, policymakers, and mental health practitioners.

Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of social support on the mental health of individuals with disabilities in Indonesia, involving 250 participants aged 18 to 65 years. Data were collected using the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) and the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS-21). Multiple regression analysis results indicate that social support significantly contributes to improved mental health (β = -0.42, p < .001 for depression; β = -0.36, p < .001 for anxiety; β = -0.39, p < .001 for stress). Family support emerged as the strongest predictor, showing a negative correlation with depression (r = -0.51, p < .001) and anxiety (r = -0.43, p < .001). These findings underscore the critical importance of social support for the mental health of individuals with disabilities. Additionally, the moderation analysis by age indicates that social support has a more substantial impact on older individuals with disabilities (β = -0.14, p < .05). These findings align with the research by Tough et al. (2017) and Santini et al. (2015), emphasizing the significance of various forms of social support for individuals with disabilities in Indonesia. The study also highlights the understanding of the Indonesian cultural context, which remains discriminatory toward individuals with disabilities, and addresses the phenomenon of neglect regarding the mental health care of this population, which represents 6.7% of the national population. Therefore, the results of this study are expected to fill the existing literature gap by providing empirical evidence for the necessity of social support interventions that can significantly enhance the mental health of individuals with disabilities.
