Journal of Quality Assurance in Islamic Education JQAIE, publishes original empirical or theoretical articles on Quality Assurance in Islamic Education issues including dimensions and indicators of Quality and Quality Improvement as applicable to Islamic education at all levels, including pre-primary, primary, secondary, higher, and professional education. Periodically, JQAIE also publishes systematic reviews, research syntheses, and assessment policy articles on topics of current significance. As a JQAIE seeks submissions on topics that have global relevance. Article submissions could pertain to the following areas integral to JQAIE mission: organizational or program development, change, and improvement educational testing or assessment programs evaluation of educational innovations, programs and projects school efficiency assessments standards, reforms, accountability, accreditation, and audits in education tools, criteria, and methods for examining or assuring quality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the students’ satisfaction in the Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business, State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Fattahul Muluk Papua with the online learning process during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is necessary to have an evaluation of the online learning carried out during the COVID-19 pandemic so that the process can be measured and the learning quality may be improved. This study uses five Servqual dimensions, namely Tangible, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, and Empathy to measure student satisfaction with the online learning process during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study uses quantitative methods with data analysis using multiple linear regression. Data were collected from 143 students of the Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business IAIN Fattahul Muluk Papua using a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results of this study indicate that the tangible variable and empathy variable has a significant effect on student satisfaction, while the Reliability, Responsiveness, and Assurance variables do not significantly influence students’ satisfaction with online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) the performance of certified teachers; (2) student learning outcomes; (3) the effect of teacher certification on teacher performance; and (4) the effect of teacher certification on student learning outcomes in MTs. Model Sorong City. The research approach used is quantitative with survey techniques. The method of determining the sample used is a saturated sample. That is, 20 respondents sample the entire population. The analytical method used is a simple linear regression method. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the performance of certified teachers is good (3.56); (2) student learning outcomes are classified as good (3.97); (3) there is a positive and significant effect of teacher certification on teacher performance by 73.3%; and (4) there is a positive and significant effect of teacher certification on student learning outcomes by 64.3%. It can be concluded that the provision of certification allowances can improve teacher performance and student learning outcomes in MTs. Model Sorong City.

Abstract

Quality assurance is one of the benchmarks that can be seen in assessing the quality of a university. All efforts that can be made related to the quality assurance process must be carried out starting from the level of study programs to tertiary institutions and a thorough evaluation not only related to the learning curriculum but also the human resources involved in it. One of the essential human resources involved in the learning process is educators. The optimal performance of educators will affect the whole teaching and learning process, and the implementation of these educators is strongly influenced by satisfaction with campus services. So, this study aims to analyze the satisfaction of education personnel with the services provided by the campus. Surveying educators carried out the data search process in the UIN Walisongo Semarang. Nine aspects are analyzed by the level of satisfaction by educators, namely 1) Recruitment and Selection, 2) Employee Orientation and Placement, 3) Training, Learning and Development Tasks, 4) Job Evaluation 5) Career Paths 6) Welfare 7) Attendance and Assignment System, 8) Termination and 9) Campus Facilities. The results of the analysis obtained are that the satisfaction of education personnel is at a moderate to a very high level with the aspect that shows the highest satisfaction in the achievement and assignment system variable (3.50) and the element that is at the lowest level of satisfaction is the welfare variable (3.14).

Abstract

Quality Assurance (QA) has an important role in improving the quality of Islamic Education. This study aims to reveal the trend of QA research in Islamic Education based on the research results of the last 20 years (2000-2021) from the Scopus database and the last 5 years from the Google Scholar (GS) database. The research method used was bibliometric analysis. Search articles using Publish or Perish (PoP) software using the keywords “Quality Assurance in Education” from the Scopus database and “Quality Assurance” AND “Islamic Education” from the GS database. The number of papers collected from the Scopus database was 68, which the paper selected to 28. From the GS database, 981 papers were selected to be 39, so that the total number of papers analyzed was 67. The analysis process used the Mendeley reference management software, which was visualized by the VOSviewer software. Overall, this study shows the most influential authors in the QA field, research trends, and research opportunities in the field of Quality Assurance in Islamic Education

Abstract

Complete online learning is mandatory due to COVID 19 that hit Indonesia. In the implementation of fully online learning, there are obstacles and obstacles. So it is necessary to research the conditions of learning while entirely online. This study describes the learning process and obstacles during complete online learning. This study also discusses online learning facilities that are of interest to students. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method to analyze the problem. Respondents in this study were 2047 students. This study resulted in 3 things that happened to fully online learning related to quotas, learning media, and learning facilities. These three components need attention so that full online lectures can run smoothly.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the Halal Study Center in every State Islamic University in Indonesia. Data collection in this study was gained using the interview method and also literature review. Interviews were conducted directly with several sources, while the literature review was performed by collecting journals regarding the research problems. The findings show that eight State Islamic University already have halal study centers out of the total number of State Islamic University in Indonesia, 27 in total. Furthermore, some of the State Islamic University that have established halal study centers also have development activities. The practical implications of this paper provide new knowledge for the State Islamic University that will establish a halal study center. This is the first article that discusses the development of research trends in the halal study center at the State Islamic University and provides the latest comprehensive literature review until 2021.
