Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between Antenatal Care (ANC) education and pregnant women's adherence to routine visits at Sei Lekop Public Health Center, Batam City. A quantitative, cross-sectional design was used, involving 96 pregnant women selected through purposive sampling. Data were gathered using a questionnaire assessing ANC education and visit adherence. The results showed that 50% of participants demonstrated high adherence to ANC visits, while the other 50% had low adherence. Additionally, 51% had a good understanding of ANC. Statistical analysis using the Chi-Square test revealed a significant relationship between ANC education and adherence levels (p = 0.000). The Odds Ratio (OR) of 5.343 indicates that women with good ANC education are 5.3 times more likely to attend routine visits. The study concludes that effective ANC education significantly improves adherence to antenatal care. It is recommended that healthcare providers enhance the quality of ANC education by adopting more interactive and personalized approaches and leveraging technology to reach a broader audience of pregnant women.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between workload and lunch energy distribution on the body composition of employees at Fatimah Hospital Lamongan. A Cross-Sectional analytical observational design was applied with 45 respondents selected using simple random sampling. Data collection included physical workload assessment based on SNI 7269:2009, lunch energy calculations using the Indonesian Food Composition Table, and body composition measurement using Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) with the Omron HBF-214 device. The Sapiro-Wilk test showed the data were nor normally distributed (p = 0.000), hence spearman’s test was user for bivariate analysis. The result indicated a significant relationship between workload and body composition (p = 0.001), as well as between lunch energy distribution and body composition (p = 0.044). these findings emphasize the importance of managing workload and adequate lunch energy intake to maintain optimal body composition and employee productivity.

Abstract

Burnout is a critical issue affecting nurses' performance and service quality, especially under high work pressure in hospital settings. This study aimed to analyze the influence of spirituality on nurse burnout, focusing on the mediating roles of self-leadership and emotional intelligence. The research applied a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest non-random control group. A total of 159 nurses were selected via total sampling from RSUD Noongan and RSU GMIM Bethesda. Measurement tools included burnout (MBI), spirituality, self-leadership, and emotional intelligence questionnaires. Data were analyzed using SPSS and Smart-PLS. The results showed a significant negative effect of spirituality on burnout, with self-leadership and emotional intelligence acting as reinforcing mediators. This study concludes that strengthening nurses' spirituality can serve as an internal competence to protect against burnout.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the validity and reliability of user satisfaction measurement for the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system using the End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) approach. The five dimensions analyzed include content, accuracy, format, ease of use, and timeliness. Data were collected from 55 respondents, who were medical records staff at Dr. Moewardi General Hospital. The results show that all dimensions have Cronbach's Alpha values above 0.80, indicating a high level of reliability. The corrected item-total correlations also confirm strong construct validity. These findings demonstrate that the instrument used to measure user satisfaction with the EMR system is both valid and reliable, and can serve as a basis for continuous evaluation and development of health information systems.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of mindfulness in supporting maternal well-being. It adopts a qualitative research approach through a systematic literature review. The data used are secondary sources obtained from a variety of scientific materials, including indexed national and international journal articles, academic books, research reports, dissertations, theses, and official publications from related institutions. Scientific journal articles published between 2020 and 2025 are collected from leading databases such as PubMed, Scopus, ScienceDirect, PsycINFO, and Google Scholar. Recent literature highlights mindfulness as a promising intervention to improve maternal well-being during pregnancy. It offers psychological benefits, supports physiological regulation, and strengthens the bond between mother and baby. mindfulness as a promising intervention to improve maternal well-being during pregnancy. It offers psychological relief, physiological regulation, and a stronger mother-baby connection. However, more rigorous, inclusive, and long-term research is needed to fully understand this potential and optimize its application in prenatal care. Although the benefits of mindfulness during pregnancy are promising, there are limitations in the amount of research currently available. Many studies rely on self-reported measures, which may be susceptible to bias. Sample sizes are often small and may lack diversity in terms of race, socioeconomic status, or previous mental health conditions. In addition, not all mindfulness interventions are standardized, which makes it difficult to compare results across different studies.

Abstract

Plyometric training is an effective training method in increasing muscle power, especially in the lower body which is very much needed in various sports. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of two types of plyometric training, namely Single Leg Hop and Double Leg Hop, on increasing leg muscle power. The study was conducted using a literature review approach to eight previous relevant studies. The results of the review showed that both types of training had a positive and significant effect on increasing leg muscle power. However, most studies concluded that Single Leg Hop training was superior in increasing unilateral strength and specific muscle explosive power, especially in sports such as futsal, basketball, and long jump. Thus, Single Leg Hop training can be recommended as a more effective method for developing lower muscle power, although the selection of training types still needs to be adjusted to the characteristics and needs of athletes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of implementing the Water Safety Plan (WSP) in improving water management quality for the creation of a healthy society. The Water Safety Plan (WSP) is a systematic approach designed to ensure that the water supplied to the community is safe and poses no risk to health. This research utilizes a literature review method, examining various previous studies on the implementation of WSP in different countries and its impact on water quality management. The findings show that the implementation of WSP can enhance water management more effectively by identifying potential risks early and ensuring continuous water quality control. Therefore, the application of WSP is crucial to achieving safe and potable water quality, which in turn can improve public health.

Abstract

The No Smoking Area (KTR) is a form of protection for the community from the adverse effects of smoking, which is regulated in Regional Regulation Number 2 of 2016. This study aims to analyse the implementation of the KTR policy in the Regional Apparatus Organisation (OPD) of Merangin Regency by reviewing four aspects of policy implementation, namely communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation. The research informants consisted of OPD parties involved in the implementation of KTR. The results showed that in the communication aspect, KTR policies have been socialised through print and electronic media, but delivery training has not been carried out optimally. In the resource aspect, limited human resources, funds, and facilities are the main obstacles in implementing KTR. In the disposition aspect, most OPDs show commitment in implementing KTR, but have not been supported by providing incentives or awards. In the aspect of bureaucratic structure, there is no special SOP or organisational structure in each OPD for KTR implementation, so the implementation is still not running optimally. In conclusion, the implementation of the KTR policy in Merangin Regency has not run optimally because there are still weaknesses in the four aspects, especially related to coordination, human resources, and supporting institutions.
