Abstract

A company will be assessed for its resilience in surviving as an economy, one of them is a mining company that is required to have a stock of funds. This research involves mining companies, because the mining sector has experienced a decline and has had the lowest growth since 2013 until now. This occurs because the price of global mining commodities is experiencing a price decline following the decline in demand from China and other developing countries, as well as the existence of the Mineral and Coal Law policy which also suppresses the growth of the mining sector internally and has the potential to be a liquidity value for a company. This study will measure the capital structure through IOS, company size, growth rate, profitability, and business risk which affect the cash dividend policy with liquidity as a moderating variable in mining companies listed in 2015-2019. The research method used is to use associative quantitative with a sample of 41 mining sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2015-2019 period. The type of data used in this study is secondary data which includes data from the financial statements of mining companies with analysis using descriptive statistics. The results of the research show that simultaneously, IOS, Company Size, Growth Rate, Profitability (ROI) and Business Risk have a significant effect on cash dividend policy (DEV) through liquidity moderation.

Abstract

Consumer motivation has been known long as a marketing concept. However, most of its concepts belong to other fields, and there is little effort to define and model them. This study aims to redefine it and develop its model. Therefore, the author narrates the history of consumer motivation and critically offers its new definition and its loose and unstructured model through which the more specific models can depart. This study found that the motivation theory goes into a more diverse direction caused by the distinctive nature of consumer behavior nature and context. For that reason, the consumer motivation model should give the spaces in which a specific model for particular behavior can be developed. The study’s loose and unstructured model is found as able to take that function. Further studies can utilize this model in studying motivation to perform or not perform particular consumption behavior in a specific context.

Abstract

When preparing an effective marketing strategy, a bank must consider its competitors as well as its customers. Establishing a mutual relationship with customers requires a better means of satisfying customer needs than the competitors. Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) should always analyze their competitors and develop marketing strategies that effectively give the company a good position compared to the competitors and provide a competitive advantage as strong as possible. This research was conducted using a quantitative method. The design was categorized as causal relationship research. The data were then analyzed using the path analysis. Findings of the research showed that customer satisfaction, service quality, and customer loyalty affected the competitive advantage of Sentra Batik Pamekasan. The effect of customer loyalty on the competitive advantage could be observed from the number of Sentra Batik Pamekasan’s customers who decided not to move to other financial institutions (banks). When the company could give better service quality, the customer loyalty and the competitive advantage among financial institutions would get higher.
