Abstract

The research conducted to discuss the factors that affecting the implementation of employee engagement. Employee engagement contributes to companies where low turnover, high profitability and high productivity. The results of the study explained the direct effect that leadership, teamwork, management support had a significant effect to employee motivation and employee development / training, environment / workplace, teamwork, management support, employee motivation directly influencing to employee engagement but performance management, compensation / remuneration leadership does not have a significant effect to employee engagement. Indirect influence explains that leadership and team work have a significant effect to employee engagement through employee motivation but management support does not significantly influence employee engagement through employee motivation.

Abstract

Employee engagement is essential for the company's long-term growth and increased profits in an increasingly competitive industry. This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing a management support,  work environment, team work, employee development to employee engagement. The research conducted in manufacturing companies in Batam with 396  respondents. The data test using SPSS and Smart PLS. The results of the study explained the direct effect variable has significant effect and variable teamwork has very significant effect compare to other independent variables. Indirect influence explains that team work have a significant effect to employee engagement through employee motivation but management support does not significantly influence employee engagement through employee motivation.

Abstract

Business competition in construction companies is getting tighter and human resource management is one of the essential things in supporting the company’s competitiveness. The right strategy is needed if a company wants to build a strong team by forming highly talented people in a company. This study aims to analyze the influence of management commitment, organizational culture, reward system, career management, and knowledge management on talent management strategy. The method used in sample selection is a non-probability method with purposive sampling technique and the population is employees who work in the offshore construction industry in Batam. This study uses a questionnaire to frontline management employees of the offshore construction industry and the rate of return of the questionnaire is 50 sheets. The statistical method used to test the hypothesis is multiple regression using the SPSS program. The results of the research conducted indicate that the management commitment and knowledge management variables have a significant positive effect on the talent management strategy, while the organizational culture variables, reward systems, and career management do not have a significant positive effect on the talent management strategy.

Abstract

Penelitian memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi motivasi karyawan. Penelitian ini sangat penting karena dengan adanya motivasi maka karyawan tetap memiliki semangat didalam melakukan pekerjaannya dan tentunya akan berdampak bagi perkembangan perusahaan. Penelitian yang dilakukan fokus terhadap empat variabel yakni kepemimpinan (leadership), kerjasama tim (teamwork), dukungan manajemen (management support) dan motivasi karyawan (employee motivation). Target populasi penelitian dilakukan terhadap karyawan yang bekerja di industri elektronik di Kota Batam dan responden yang dipilih dalam penelitian adalah karyawan yang bekerja di lima kawasan industri yakni di Kawasan Industri Cammo, Kawasan Industri Batamindo, Kawasan Industri Tunas, Kawasan Industri Executive dan Kawasan Industri Panbil. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik Non Probability Sampling. Untuk memperoleh data terhadap kuisoner yang diperolah maka pengolahan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan SPSS versi 24. Hasil dari pengolahan data yang diperoleh dengan melakukan uji t ditemukan bahwa variabel kepemimpinan memiliki nilai 2,734, kerjasama tim dengan nilai 4,367 dan dukungan manajemen dengan nilai 3,744. Ketiga hipotesa terbukti karena nilai t lebih besar dari pada 1,96 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) kepemimpinan memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi karyawan, (2) kerjasama tim memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi karyawan, (3) dukungan manajemen memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi karyawan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini meneliti tentang pengaruh budaya organisasi, keterampilan manajerial, gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, motivasi kerja, dan kompensasi  terhadap kinerja guru  Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) di Kota Batam. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer yaitu kueisoner terhadap 250 guru Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) di Kota Batam dengan teknik nonprobality sampling metode incidental sampling dan diolah menggunakan SPSS 25. Adapun pengujian hipotesis yang dilakukan adalah analysis regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian ini adalah budaya organisasi, keterampilan manajerial, gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, motivasi kerja dan kompensasi secara parsial berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru pada Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) di Kota Batam. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukan budaya organisasi, keterampilan manajerial, gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, motivasi kerja dan kompensasi baik secara simultan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru pada Sekolah Mengah Atas (SMA) di Kota Batam

Abstract

Semakin berkembangnya suatu negara, maka akan semakin banyak juga masalah yang akan timbul, salah satunya ialah masalah korupsi. Kegiatan ataupun perbuatan korupsi ini sering dijumpai dalam setiap aspek dalam kehidupan keseharian, baik dalam hal ekonomi, hukum, sosial, budaya maupun politik. Pelaksanaan kegiatan yang dituju merupakan pelajar dari SMP Yos Sudarso yang berdiri pada tahun 1981 dan berakreditasi A. Alasan pemilihan tema “Membangun Generasi Anti Korupsi” dikarenakan kurangnya menerapkan Gerakan Anti Korupsi di lingkungan sehari-hari yang cenderung hanya mengetahui tentang teorinya saja, namun amat sangat jarang diterapkan. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif untuk menganilisis data yang diperoleh. Metode kualitatif yang dilaksanakan mencakup tiga teknik yaitu teknik wawancara, observasi, dan teknik penilaian rangking sebagai sarana penentuan peringkat juara dalam Lomba Poster yang dilaksanakan. Melalui pelaksanaan SEPORA (Social Empowerment Program) ini, pelajar SMP Yos Sudarso diharapkan dapat membangun generasi anti korupsi dan terintegritas dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

Narkoba adalah zat kimia yang dapat mengakibatkan ketidaksadaran karena zat-zat tersebut bekerja dengan cara mempengaruhi saraf sentral. Kasus narkoba bukanlah hal baru bagi generasi Indonesia saat ini, termasuk di Kota Batam. Generasi Indonesia perlu diberikan edukasi tentang narkoba agar tidak terjerumus ke dalam penyalahgunaan narkoba. Edukasi tentang narkoba ditujukan terhadap siswa-siswi SMA/K yang dikhususkan di SMK Kartini Batam. Kegiatan membangun generasi anti narkoba di SMK Kartini Batam dilakukan melalui webinar dan cerdas cermat tentang narkoba. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah siswa/i SMK Kartini Batam dapat menjadi generasi Indonesia yang sehat anti narkoba. Hasil dari kegiatan webinar adalah antusias siswa/i SMK Kartini Batam dalam mendengarkan materi yang disampaikan dan hasil pengujian pemahaman siswa/i SMK Kartini Batam tentang narkoba dilakukan melalui cerdas cermat dengan terpilihnya 3 orang pemenang. Pengabdian masyarakat selanjutnya diharapkan dapat melaksanakan program yang sama di sekolah yang berbeda sehingga terwujud generasi Indonesia yang tangguh dan memiliki akhlak yang baik.

Abstract

This research was made to know and analyze the Talent Management Model, Talent Management Study to Talent Management Mapping from companies in the tourism sector, spesifically resort in Bintan island. The method used in this research is a method of searching data from the internet and available materials. For data analysis, the author will use the components mentioned to analyze how the companies of tourism sector in Bintan island manages its talent from planning, attracting, developing, and retaining to transitioning. Then the author gets the companies using a combination of 2 strategies for the talent management strategy, namely by hiring only top employees and hiring promising specialists and developing them. And finally the use of 9 boxes of talent mapping will be used by the author to analyze talent from the tourism sector in Bintan island. The author suggests that companies need to carry out an evaluation process for each of their employees and also inform HR to train and monitor the performance of managers.

Abstract

Indonesia has very promising oil and gas potential to be exploited, including in Riau Islands province which has 15 oil and gas companies operating and 4 of them are already in production. Batam Island is part of the Kepulauan Riau province and there are oil and gas fabrications in it which are exported out from Batam Island. This fabrication is closely related with occupational safety and health. Respondents in this study were obtained from 261 employees work in the fabrication company or oil and gas contractor. Data processed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 24. The research of this method used non probability sampling where sampling techniques does not provide equal opportunities for each member of the population to be selected as a sample. The results of this study illustrated that OHS culture and management commitment have significant positive effect on occupational health safety performance but OHS training does not have significant effect.
