Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) and Good Corporate Governance (GCG), measured by the number of directors and independent commissioners, on the financial performance of PT Bank Raya Indonesia Tbk. Employing a quantitative approach with a descriptive-verificative method, the research uses secondary data from the bank's audited annual financial reports between 2017 and 2023. The population of this study comprises all bank published financial statements, while the sample is selected through purposive sampling based on data availability and completeness. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS software. The findings indicate that CAR and the number of directors significantly influence the bank's financial performance, while the number of independent commissioners does not show a significant effect. These results highlight the importance of capital strength and effective leadership structure in enhancing financial outcomes, providing valuable insights for banks undergoing digital transformation and facing increasing industry competition.

Abstract

Indonesia, a developing nation, boasts a vast population of 263 million individuals. Despite this, many of the population still live in impoverished conditions, leading to a notable unemployment rate of 14.23% in Aceh, equivalent to 804,530 individuals. The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) suggests that community welfare can be gauged by food sufficiency, encompassing calorie and protein intake. This research uses logistic regression analysis to examine the determinants of food security at the household level. Logistic regression was chosen due to the categorical nature of the variables under study, specifically the classification of food security (0) and food insecurity (1). The independent variables considered in this research comprise the frequency of aid (X1), household head income (X2), family size (X3), aid amount (X4), and household perceptions of food assistance (X5). The findings reveal that the household's perception of food assistance is the most influential factor affecting household food security in Gampong Klieng Manyang. The resulting logistic regression model is represented as g(x) = -15.299 – 18.879 X1 – 0.000 X2 – 0.238 X3 – 18.460 X4 + 0.425 X5. In logistic regression, the coefficients are interpreted through odds ratios. Notably, the frequency of the aid variable exhibits the highest odds ratio, underscoring its significance in shaping household food security in Gampong Klieng Manyang, Sukamakmur District, Aceh Besar Regency.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of compensation and work environment on employee job satisfaction in the hotel industry in Yogyakarta City. The research employed a purposive sampling method, with a sample size of 100 respondents. Primary data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires, which were tested for validity and reliability. The study utilized multiple linear regression analysis, supported by SPSS version 27 software. Statistical tests included validity, reliability, normality, linearity, heteroscedasticity, multicollinearity, multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination. The findings indicate that compensation has a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction, as evidenced by a t-value of 5.644 (exceeding the t-table value of 1.661), a positive beta coefficient of 0.352, and a significance level of 0.001 (p < 0.05). Additionally, the work environment demonstrates a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction, with a t-value of 9.811 (greater than the t-table value of 1.661), a positive beta coefficient of 0.368, and a significance level of 0.001 (p < 0.05). Furthermore, compensation and work environment simultaneously influence employee job satisfaction significantly, as indicated by an F-value of 117.647 (surpassing the F-table value of 3.09) and a significance level of 0.001 (p < 0.05). Based on the coefficient of determination, the adjusted R² value is 0.702 (70.2%), meaning that compensation and work environment can explain 70.2% of the variation in employee job satisfaction. In comparison, the remaining 29.8% is attributed to factors outside the scope of this study.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of capital structure and profitability on firm value in food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2022 to 2024. Capital structure is represented by the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), profitability by the Return on Assets (ROA), and firm value by the Price to Book Value (PBV). The research employed a quantitative approach using secondary data from the financial reports of 10 selected companies, analyzed through simple linear regression with classical assumption tests. The results revealed that DER had no significant effect on PBV (p = 0.615), whereas ROA had a significant positive effect on PBV (p = 0.000, R² = 0.395). These findings suggest that profitability is more critical in enhancing firm value than capital structure. The study provides practical insights for investors and corporate managers to improve operational efficiency and increase firm value.

Abstract

Organizational structure is a framework that regulates the relationship between parts in an organization to achieve common goals. In higher education, organizational structure is important in determining operational effectiveness and achieving the institution's vision. This study discusses the patterns or methods used in developing organizational structures at the University of Indonesia Maju (UIMA) in response to the change from the Indonesian Health Sciences College (STIKIM) to a university. The study aimed to understand the basics of compiling organizational structures at UIMA. The method used was a qualitative approach. The study results showed that the development of organizational structures at UIMA followed Mintzberg's theoretical guidelines, which consisted of five elements: The Strategic Apex, The Middle Line, The Technostructure, The Support Staff, and The Operating Core. Therefore, it can be concluded that this study confirms that UIMA's organizational structure is based on Mintzberg's theory, and further evaluations regarding the effectiveness of organizational structures in achieving UIMA's vision are recommended.

Abstract

Indonesia's annual digital economic growth of 11% encourages Gojek to create an inclusive work ecosystem for more than 3.1 million driver partners. This study analyzes the influence of transformational leadership on Gojek's organizational culture and its impact on driver partner performance. The method used is a qualitative case study analyzing various written sources, including scientific articles, books, credible opinions, and company policy documents. The results showed that Gojek's transformational leadership succeeded in forming an inclusive and collaborative organizational culture, thus increasing the motivation and performance of driver partners. However, the work flexibility offered still faces challenges in the form of income uncertainty. This study recommends a performance-based incentive system and reward-based training to balance flexibility with optimal performance achievement. The findings are expected to serve as a practical reference for companies in creating a productive and sustainable work environment.
