Abstract

Based on the initial survey, deficiencies in the performance of teaching staff were identified, as indicated by high absenteeism rates, which ultimately negatively impact the school's performance. This study focuses on the aspects of motivation, work environment, and the performance of teaching staff, examining whether motivation and the work environment affect teaching staff performance both separately and collectively. The aim of this research is to understand the conditions of motivation, work environment, and teaching staff performance at SMA Swasta Methodist Berastagi, and to assess the impact of motivation and work environment on teaching staff performance, both partially and simultaneously. The results show that motivation and the work environment are rated as good, as is the performance of the teaching staff. Motivation contributes 12.04% to teaching staff performance, while the work environment has an 8.88% impact. Together, motivation and the work environment influence teaching staff performance by 37.6%. The recommendations of this study emphasize the importance of meeting the need for security, as the institution has not provided sufficient future guarantees for the teaching staff. One solution is to offer retirement programs or old-age benefits. Additionally, there is a noted lack of social interaction among teaching staff, which should be improved to support their social needs. The combination of motivation and work environment contributes 37.6% to teaching staff performance, and improvements can be made by enhancing future security and increasing social interaction among the staff.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of reproductive health counseling on adolescents' knowledge regarding premarital sex. Reproductive health counseling serves as an educational tool to improve adolescents' understanding of reproductive health issues, aiming to reduce the prevalence of risky sexual behaviors and the negative consequences associated with premarital sex, such as sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and unintended pregnancies. A pre-experimental design was employed, utilizing a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The sample consisted of 81 adolescents selected from a population of 433 students at MAN 2 Deli Serdang in 2023. Data was collected through direct engagement with participants, who completed a structured questionnaire to assess their knowledge before and after the counseling sessions. The findings indicate a significant improvement in adolescents' knowledge levels after receiving reproductive health counseling. The analysis, conducted using a paired sample T-test via SPSS, resulted in a p-value of 0.000, indicating a statistically significant difference between pre-counseling and post-counseling knowledge levels (p < 0.05). This suggests that reproductive health counseling effectively increased the adolescents' knowledge about premarital sex. The study concludes that reproductive health counseling positively impacts the level of knowledge regarding premarital sex among adolescents at MAN 2 Deli Serdang. It is recommended that school authorities collaborate with healthcare centers to facilitate regular educational sessions, ensuring that adolescents are well-informed about reproductive health and the risks associated with premarital sexual activities.

Abstract

Throughout the organization of presidential elections in Indonesia, the General Elections Commission (KPU) has often been in the public spotlight. In this context, the image of the KPU, which consists of trust, reality, cooperation, and awareness, serves as the indicators used by the public to evaluate the institution. This research employs a qualitative methodology and is based on a literature review of previous studies and surveys conducted by several independent organizations. Surveys by Kompas Research and Development (Litbang Kompas) and Databoks support this assessment. The results show that public trust in the KPU has declined due to political dispute issues, with a score of 277. However, according to the Litbang Kompas survey on the reality indicator, the public perceives the KPU's image positively, with a score of 62%. On the cooperation indicator, public political participation in the presidential election continues to increase. Regarding the awareness aspect, the lack of public political knowledge is a critical point in Indonesian politics. Therefore, as the institution responsible for organizing elections, the KPU needs to continuously improve its performance and image.

Abstract

Saguling Dam is a man-made reservoir located in West Bandung Regency, which dams the flow of the Citarum River, the largest river in West Java. The current condition of the dam has been heavily polluted by an abundance of water hyacinth and a buildup of household waste covering the river's surface. According to data from the Bandung City Sanitation Company in 2016, approximately 2.5 million residents produced 1,500 - 1,600 tons of waste per day. However, only 1,100 - 1,200 tons were transported to the Sarimukti Final Disposal Site (TPA), and 150 - 250 tons were processed by residents. The remaining 150 - 250 tons of waste were disposed of in Citarum River's tributaries. PLN (State Electricity Company) implemented a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program themed "Green Employee Involvement" through community empowerment efforts aimed at addressing the waste problems in the Saguling Dam. The "Green Employee Involvement" program, in collaboration with the Bening Saguling Foundation, was carried out in celebration of World Environment Day 2024. The research methodology used is qualitative, employing a case study approach. Data collection methods include literature review and observation. The research findings show that PLN's Corporate Social Responsibility program, themed "Green Employee Involvement" in collaboration with the Bening Saguling Foundation, has had a positive impact on environmental preservation while also providing economic benefits to the community in the Saguling Dam area, Bandung, West Java.

Abstract

In an increasingly digital era, companies must adapt quickly to remain competitive in a competitive global market. Digital capability, which is the organization's ability to utilize digital technology in all aspects of its operations, is the main key in achieving competitive advantage. This study aims to analyze the effect of digital capability on supply chain innovation performance through digital innovation in manufacturing companies in Bogor. The method used is a quantitative approach with a survey using a questionnaire evaluated by a panel of experts. Data were collected from 140 respondents of manufacturing companies in Bogor and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS software. The results showed that digital capability has no significant influence on supply chain innovation performance (p-value 0.380 > 0.05). Meanwhile, digital capability has a significant positive influence on digital innovation (p-value 0.033 < 0.05). On the other hand, digital innovation has no significant impact on supply chain innovation performance (p-value 0.484 > 0.05), and digital capability also has no significant effect on supply chain innovation performance through digital innovation based on the mediation flow of direct and indirect (p-value 0.421 > 0.05). The conclusion of this study is that although digital capability can drive digital innovation, it does not necessarily improve supply chain innovation performance directly. Suggestions for future research are to involve more companies from various locations and use mixed quantitative-qualitative research methods to increase validity and in-depth understanding. In addition, there is a need to explore other factors that may affect supply chain innovation performance to strengthen digital capability and digital innovation strategies in manufacturing companies.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of the digital economy on consumer preferences in the Metaverse era, focusing on the role of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) and tokenization in changing purchase intentions. Using a mixed-methods approach, this study combines quantitative and qualitative analysis to gain a comprehensive understanding of the key determinants of consumer purchase intentions in a rapidly evolving digital context. The results of the quantitative analysis show that perceived value, trust in blockchain technology, and user experience significantly influence consumer purchase intentions towards NFTs. Qualitative analysis through in-depth interviews reveals that scarcity, digital ownership, and community involvement are the main factors driving NFT adoption, while lack of technological understanding and regulatory uncertainty are the main barriers. This study also introduces novelty through the use of machine learning-based sentiment analysis and social network analysis to explore the role of social interactions in the formation of purchase intentions. These findings make important contributions to the literature on the digital economy by offering new insights into consumer dynamics in the Metaverse and highlighting the need for marketing strategies that focus on creating community value and immersive user experiences. Practical implications of this study include the need for consumer education and clear regulations to increase NFT adoption, as well as marketing strategies that leverage the emotional value and scarcity of digital assets. This research contributes to a better understanding of consumer behavior in the digital age and offers recommendations for further research in this area.
