Abstract

Conversation is a common pattern of interaction between physiotherapists and patients. However, in child growth and development therapy, where the patient is a child aged 0-12 months, of course communication behavior involves the parents. The pattern of interaction between physiotherapists and patient parents in relation to the child's growth and development is what is studied in this research. This research was carried out with the aim of assessing the influence of communication patterns between physiotherapists and parents on the motor development process of children aged 0-12 months. In pediatric cases, the communication pattern between physiotherapists and parents is a medium that can be useful in the process of exchanging information both in stimulating children's growth and development and in matters related to other children's motor development processes. This is due to differences in the conditions of each child which will make parents and physiotherapists experience problems when carrying out therapy sessions. Through statistical tests, this research succeeded in concluding that there is a significant relationship between the intensity of parental communication on the process of motor development of children aged 0-12 months in the process of growth and development therapy.

Abstract

Worm infections are still commonly found in Indonesia because of its location in the tropics. Worms are caused by various factors, one of which is consuming raw vegetables contaminated with intestinal parasites which are included in (Soil Transmitted Helmint), one of which is the egg of the worm Ascaris lumbricoides. Types of vegetables that allow transmission to occur are vegetables such as cabbage, because cabbage is often consumed raw or as fresh vegetables, for example, in the habit of Indonesians, fresh vegetables are part of the topping for pecel lele sellers, which still exist today. It is very likely that the cabbage vegetables sold from pecel catfish traders are contaminated because they are not clean when washing. The purpose of this study was to determine whether Ascaris lumbricoides worm eggs were present in fresh cabbage vegetables after being washed at pecel lele food stalls along Jalan Pasar Kemiri Kembangan Utara. This type of research is descriptive observational at the Kesosi STIK Laboratory, which describes the presence of Ascaris lumbricoides worm eggs in fresh vegetables of cabbage (Brassica oleracea). The sample was determined using a total sampling technique obtained from each Pecel Lele food stall along Jalan Pasar Kemiri Kembangan Utara, with a total sampling of 10 samples. This examination was carried out using the sedimentation method. The results showed that 9 samples or 90% did not find Ascaris lumbricoides worm eggs and 1 sample or 10% found contamination of Ascaris lumbricoides worm eggs. The conclusion is that cabbage or cabbage (Brassica oleracea) at Pecel Lele food stalls along Jalan Pasar Kemiri Kembangan Utara still found Ascaris lumbricoides worm eggs.

Abstract

Type II diabetes mellitus patients generally have high fasting blood glucose levels. Continuously high fasting blood glucose levels can cause damage to the kidneys and increase albumin levels in the urine. When albumin levels rise there can be a risk of high glomerular filtration rate and cause the risk of diabetic nephropathy. The aim of this study was to determine the results of analysis of fasting blood glucose levels and glomerular filtration rate in type II diabetes mellitus patients with indications of microalbuminuria. This research uses a correlative method with a purposive sampling technique in accordance with the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria. The sample obtained was 110 research respondents using a cross sectional study approach. The results of the study showed that the correlation carried out with Spearman's Rho between the glomerular filtration rate and fasting blood glucose levels had a p-value of 0.081 so that the p-value was > 0.05, it could be concluded that there was no relationship between glomerular filtration rate and fasting blood glucose levels.

Abstract

The basic model for the formation of a quality human being begins when the baby is in the womb accompanied by the provision of breast milk (ASI) from an early age, especially exclusive breastfeeding, namely giving breast milk alone without anything else to the baby from birth until six months old. Every parent definitely wants to have healthy and intelligent children. Parents do many things to achieve this goal. Starting from often listening to classical music, taking vitamins to giving formula milk containing AA and DHA which is believed to increase children's intelligence, but unfortunately, many mothers in Indonesia do not give breast milk to their babies, even though by giving breast milk their health and intelligence the baby is guaranteed. This research aims to determine the factors associated with exclusive breastfeeding in Tanjung Hamlet. The type of research is analytical with a cross sectional design. The population in this study were all breastfeeding mothers in Tanjung Hamlet, totaling 86 people with a sample of 86 people. The sampling method is total sampling. The research variables are knowledge, education and age. The data collection tool is a questionnaire. Data analysis in this research is univariate and bivariate analysis. The research results showed that the majority of respondents had low knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding, namely 76.7%. Most of the respondents had low education, namely 68.9%. Most of the respondents were >39 years old, namely 77.8% and the majority of respondents did not provide exclusive breastfeeding, namely 93.3%. Based on statistical tests, it was concluded that there was a relationship between knowledge and exclusive breastfeeding, namely 0.000, there was a relationship between education and exclusive breastfeeding, namely 0.002 and there was a relationship between age and exclusive breastfeeding, namely 0.002.
