Abstract

Physiotherapy is a profession that provides a form of health services for both individuals and groups in order to develop, maintain, and restore body movements and functions. Every individual has the right to get health services, one of which is physiotherapy, but the lack of public knowledge, and economic problems make people reluctant or even impossible to get these services. Nutritional status is one of the factors that can affect child development. The program to treat malnourished children is periodically conducted in January-March every year. The Semarang City Health Office collaborates with IFI Semarang City and STIKES KESDAM IV Diponegoro Department of Physiotherapy as well as from various other medical team collaborations to provide services to these toddlers. Malnourished toddlers from the Community Health Center (Puskesmas) of Semarang City were gathered at Rumah Pelangi Nusantara to receive services consisting of: Weight and TB examination, doctor's examination, psychologist, nutritionist consultation, social worker and physiotherapy. Physiotherapy itself plays a role in the detection and stimulation of the growth and development of children under five with malnutrition. IFI Semarang city is scheduled every Tuesday and Thursday to give assignments alternately to representatives of physiotherapists in each agency both from hospitals, Clinic and Homecare to come to Rumah Pelangi Nusantara to provide early detection treatment for malnourished toddlers who experience growth delays, by providing examinations, interventions in the form of exercise therapy and education to parents of toddlers. It is hoped that this activity can help in optimizing the stimulation of toddler growth and development along with increasing age and improving nutrition and weight gain.

Abstract

The pre-school period is a golden age where stimulation of all aspects of development plays an important role in subsequent developmental tasks, where 80% of children's cognitive development has been achieved at pre-school age. In general, learning for children aged 4-6 years for aspects of physical or motor development is more focused on fine motor skills. Meanwhile, gross motor skills receive less attention. Gross motor development is as important as other aspects of development, because a child's inability to carry out physical activities will give rise to a negative self-concept in the child. WHO reports that 5-25% of pre-school children suffer from minor brain dysfunction including gross motor development disorders that zero point four 8 million (16%) toddlers in Indonesia experience developmental disorders both gross and fine motor development, hearing loss, intelligence lack and delay in speaking. Eighty-five thousand seven hundred and seventy-nine (62.02%) pre-school age children experience developmental disorders. Based on research related to the brain gym method, children who like to move and play actively tend to develop their brain nerves more rapidly. This brain gym method is very helpful in moving body parts, coordinating movements, helping skills in learning at school and in guiding adjustments to daily activities. The PKM STIKES Kesdam IV/Diponegoro Semarang team plans to provide community service, especially to the students of KB-TK Islam Sultan Agung 02 Semarang regarding efforts to optimize motor development using the brain gym method. This service will be carried out in partnership with the Sultan Agung Education Foundation, Semarang City. The distance between the activity location and STIKES Kesdam IV/Diponegoro Semarang is approximately ± 10km. This service activity method is carried out in several stages, starting from observation, socialization with parents to establishing collaboration with teaching teachers. The proposed budget and schedule for implementing community service are very relevant or in accordance with the activities to be carried out.

Abstract

The elderly are an age group that is prone to falls. The purpose of this service is to detect the risk of falling in the elderly and provide assistance in balance training as an effort to prevent the risk of falling in the elderly. Falls occur due to unintentional loss of balance resulting in failure of postural stability, or unexpected and sudden changes resulting in a position landing on the floor. Associated risk factors include current health status (living in the community, nursing home, hospital, frail or active state), diseases suffered (diabetes, hip fracture, stroke) and general changes related to aging (decreased balance, coordination, muscle strength, visual impairment, etc.). The output targets to be achieved are in the form of publications in accredited national journals and copyright for videos of community service activities. The method used is a fall risk detection examination using. Elderly gymnastics is a series of regular, directed, and planned movements carried out with the intention of improving the functional abilities of the body. Reporting from the Panti Rapih Hospital page, this activity is carried out regularly and with movements that are not too heavy.

Abstract

Background: Lower back pain (NPB) Ischialgia is a pinched ischialgia nerve in the lower back area which causes the buttocks, thighs, lower legs and even feet to become tingling, painful, and sometimes causing weakness. Nerve mobilization is a manipulation technique by moving and stretching nerve tissue to increase axonal transportation so that it can improve nerve conduction. Nerve mobilization can reduce the pressure in the nerves so that there is an increase in blood flow to the nerves, which can have a regenerative and healing effect on injured nerves (Butler, 1991). Nerve mobilization is often used as a form of diagnosis and treatment for musculoskeletal conditions with nerve involvement (Butler, 1991). Nerve mobilization in the Lower Limb Tension Test (LLTT) is carried out at the branches of the Brachial plexus such as the radial nerve, median nerve and ulnar nerve. But here the author only discusses LLTT in the ishiadic nerve, namely LLTT 1 which is related to lower back pain. The aim is to determine physiotherapy management and the effect of Ultrasoundtherapy therapy and nerve mobilization using the LLTT 1 method in cases of lower back pain on reducing pain and increasing the functional ability of the hand. Two group pre test and post test method. RESEARCH PLACE: Physiotherapy clinic, RSU Sidoarjo. TIME: Measuring instrument: Visual Analouge Scale (VAS). Results: treatment using the Mann-Whtney test. With confidence interval (CI) (95%) The results of the study revealed that there was a significant difference in pain in group 1 (p = 0.00) and group 2 (p = 0.00). But there was no significant difference between the two groups in pain improvement (p = 0.152), so there was no better treatment between the two groups. Conclusion: It is concluded that ULTT is useful in treating CTS patients to reduce pain in two groups. The targeted outcomes are publications in national journals indexed by Sinta and HAKI. The TKT target for implementing this gamelan accompaniment exercise is level 2.

Abstract

Coronavirus is an acute pneumonia infection. COVID-19 has spread widely in the world. Based on data from the World Health Organization (WHO), around 215 countries have been infected with COVID-19, including Indonesia. In an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19, all countries in the world are trying to implement social distancing to prevent the risk of transmission of the virus. Having good knowledge about COVID-19 disease is very important so as not to cause an increase in the number of cases of COVID-19 disease. The important thing to know about COVID-19 is how COVID-19 is transmitted, how to prevent it, treatment, and complications that can occur if someone is infected with COVID-19. Good knowledge and a positive attitude from pregnant women in facing the COVID-19 pandemic can make pregnant women take real action to reduce the risk of contracting COVID-19 so that risks related to decreased immunity and health problems for the baby and mother are not disturbed. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women in RW 02, Sambiroto Village, Semarang regarding the risk of transmitting COVID-19. The research design used was descriptive correlation with a cross sectional approach, with a sample size of 25 respondents selected using the consecutive sampling method. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using the Chi Square test. The output of this research is publication in an International Journal.

Abstract

Balance is the ability to maintain the body in the center of mass of the body against a fulcrum to oppose gravity in a position that is influenced by the sensory system, musculoskeletal and external effects. Flat foot is a musculoskeletal disorder in children. At the age of 5-6 years is a period of developing children's motor skills, especially balance, which is very good when stimulated in the form of games. One stimulation to improve the balance of flat foot children aged 4-7 years is tightrope walker training. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of tightrope walker training on the balance of children with flat feet aged 4-7 years. This research is a quasi experiment with a pre and post test design approach, namely the sample in the treatment group was given tightrope walker training for 4 weeks with a frequency of 2 times a week. Balance measurement uses the one legged stance test. Data analysis in this study used statistical tests with a significance level of 0.05 using the sample paired t-test. The results of statistical tests show that there is a significant influence between giving tightrope walker training on the static balance of children with flat foot conditions. The implementation of tightrope walker training for flat foot children is recommended for static balance problems in children. The conclusion of this research can be implemented that tightrope walker training has an influence on the balance of children with flat feet aged 4-7 years.

Abstract

Background: Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is a disorder of the wrist due to narrowing of the carpal tunnel, either due to edema of the fascia in the carpal tunnel or due to abnormalities in the small bones of the hand (carpal bones) resulting in pressure on the median nerve. on the wrist. CTS is defined as weakness in the hands accompanied by pain in the distribution area of the median nerve (Sidharta, 2004).
