Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of science students in grade V SD Negeri 01 Durian Tinggi District Kapur IX using discovery-guided learning methods. This type of research is classroom action research. The subjects of this study were the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 01 Durian Tinggi, totaling 17 students, consisting of 3 male students and 14 female students. Researchers used action research models from Kemmis and Taggart. This research was conducted in two cycles of action. Each cycle is carried out in two meetings. In each cycle there are planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting activities. The instruments used were observation sheets and tests. Observation data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively while test results were analyzed descriptively quantitative percentages. Initial test results on the pre-cycle percentage of students whose grades are above the KKM which reached 23.53%. The results of the first cycle showed that the percentage of students whose grades were above KKM had only reached 64.71%, so that it still could not reach the criteria of research success. In cycle II, the steps in applying discovery learning methods to improve student success are done by providing motivation, dividing the number of smaller group members and heterogeneous members, and providing opportunities for group presentations on the results of practicum in front of the class. The percentage of student grades above the KKM in the second cycle increased to 100%. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that the guided discovey method is able to improve the science learning outcomes.

Abstract

Fun learning can increase students' learning desires. The game allows active participation both between students and teachers and vice versa, also between students and other students. Therefore we want to develop creativity and innovation talent to develop new games that can make students able to play while learning with the title "Development of Biology KOPER for Classification of Living Things in Middle School." The purpose of this study is to determine the validity and practicality. biology game media box for developed Living Classification material. This type of research is a research and development (Research and Development), using the product development model ADDIE (Analystys Desing Development Implementation Evaluation). The instruments used were questionnaire validity and practicality questionnaire. The test subjects in the study were 12 junior high school students at the Kamil learning house. Based on the analysis of the validity data of 3 validators, the average percentage of validity values is 90% with very valid criteria. Whereas the data from the practical questionnaire showed that the average percentage of practicality was 90% and included in the category of very practical. Based on these data it can be concluded that the learning media of biology game boxes is valid and practical to be used in studying the classification of living things in junior high schools.

Abstract

Based on preliminary observations in class IV of SD Negeri 02 Koto Bagun, Kapur IX District, problems of science learning were found. The teacher is less varied, creative in teaching in class, only emphasizes the delivery of material and assignments. Students are less involved in learning, less enthusiastic, less motivated in discussion activities, and the use of learning media is not optimal. Formulation of the research problem "How do you increase student activity in learning science class IV SD Negeri 02 Koto Bangun Kapur District IX?". As for the specific details "Does the Snowball Throwing model with TTS media can improve teacher skills, student activities and student learning outcomes of SD Negeri 02 Koto Bangun Kapur IX District in Natural Sciences learning?". The purpose of the study was to increase student activity in learning science class IV SD 02 02 Koto Bangun Kapur District IX. The specific purpose is to describe the improvement of teacher skills, student activities and improve science learning outcomes of Grade IV students of SD Negeri 02 Koto Bangun Kapur IX District through the Snowball Throwing model with TTS media. This type of research is classroom action research, conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting. The research subjects were teachers and fourth grade students of SD Negeri 02 Koto Bangun, Kapur District IX. Data collection techniques using observation, tests, field notes, and documentation. The results showed the skills of teachers in the first cycle of meeting 1 gained 29 scores, increased to 34 scores in meeting 2. In the second cycle of meeting 1 gained 37 scores, increased to 40 scores at meeting 1. The activity of cycle I students gained 21 scores, increased to 30 score at meeting 2. In cycle II gained 32 scores, increased to 37 scores at meeting 2. The percentage of mastery learning at the pre cycle was 27.27% with an average value of 69.29. In the first cycle of 63.63% with an average value of 79.09. In the second cycle of 100% with an average value of 91.82. The conclusion of the research is the Snowball Throwing model with TTS media can improve teacher skills, student activities and science learning outcomes. While the advice given is that teachers should be able to choose and use innovative learning models that are appropriate to the conditions of students, teaching materials / materials, facilities available, and the condition of the teacher himself.

Abstract

This research is motivated by good study habits, including paying attention, noting essential things, doing assignments, having regular study time, and a high interest in learning. However, not all students have good study habits; many have difficulty understanding. Then, research will be conducted with the title "there is a relationship between study habits and biology learning outcomes in the 2018 class at UMMY Solok" which aims to describe the student's study habits and their relationship to biology learning outcomes in the 2018 batch at UMMY. This type of research is descriptive. The goal is to solve problems that exist in the present, provide a general description of the data obtained and draw conclusions from the results of data processing. The population of this study was biology students in the 2018 class at UMMY who were registered in the 2018/2019 academic year. The sample selected in this study were biology students in the 2018 class at UMMY in the even semester of the 2018/2019 academic year. Data was collected using a questionnaire. The data obtained were processed using a simple linear regression technique.

Abstract

The results showed an increase in activity and student learning outcomes. Activities that increase is 100% attention to the teacher's explanation to the very high criteria, read module 100% with very high criteria, ask questions 65% with high criteria, answered questions of students / teachers 74 with high criteria, and work on the problems of Problem Based Learning 100% with very high criteria. Student learning outcomes in a single cycle has an average of 73 and an increase in cycle two to 77. The number of students who have a value below the KKM in one cycle as much as 6 of 31 students, while in the second cycle of all students have a value ≥ KKM . Thus the use of module-based learning Problem Based Learning on the evolution of matter can increase the activity and learning outcomes of students in class XII IPA SMAN 2 Tilatang Kamang.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the conditions when learning which seems to tend to make students less motivated to learn science. Students sometimes feel scared, lazy and bored because they think that science is difficult, full of formulas and so many concepts must be memorized that students expect the science class to end soon. On the other hand students will be able to involve themselves fully both emotionally and intellectually when seeing a spectacle on the screen. When the author occasionally utilizes ICT media in student learning seems motivated to follow it. The purpose of this study was to achieve the blessing of Allah SWT by trying to optimally improve the quality of learning through the effort "Optimizing the Use of ICT Media in Science Learning to Improve Student Learning Outcomes in Class IXc in Semester II of 2014/2015 at SMPN 4 Solok City". This research was conducted in two cycles. In cycle 1 students are given the opportunity to prepare subject matter and present it using Microsoft Power Point programs. Student learning outcomes have increased compared with the initial conditions, and it appears students have begun to be actively involved in learning. But the authors are still not satisfied with this achievement and see an opportunity that might improve student mastery of the subject matter by providing a pretest and posttest at every 3 hour lesson meeting. Alhamdulillahi Robbil ‘alamin, this research can finally prove that Optimizing the Use of ICT Media in Science Learning is able to Improve Student Learning Outcomes of Class IXc in Semester II of 2014/2015 at SMPN 4 Kota Solok. Therefore, the authors hope that in the future teachers can optimize the use of ICT media in learning by actively involving students because the development of technology is now more controlled by our students so that it will be even more meaningful if we direct their ability to support their mastery of learning.

Abstract

The low student learning outcomes in class IV SD Negeri 01 Koto Bangun Kapur District IX in learning science, because science learning only uses conventional methods. Students just sit and stay listening to the teacher's explanation. The purpose of this study is to describe the use of contextual approaches to improve student learning outcomes in science learning in class IV SD Negeri 01 Koto Bangun Kapur IX District. The approach used is a qualitative and quantitative approach. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. The research was carried out based on the classroom action research step with the stages of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Research data in the form of test results, observation of teacher and student activities, and documentation of each action to improve learning. The source of research data is the process of learning science. Data obtained from the subject studied, namely teachers and class IV students, amounting to 15 people. The results of learning science in the material cycle of living things with a contextual approach in grade IV SD 04 Koto Bangun Kapur IX District can be improved. In the first cycle the average value of 74.46 with a completeness level of 63%, increased in the second cycle the average value of students to 80.81 with a completeness level of 81%. So seen from the average obtained by students using a contextual approach to student learning outcomes can be improved. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of contextual approaches in learning Natural Sciences Cycle of Living Beings in Class IV SD Negeri 01 Koto Bangun Kapur District IX can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Science learning class VI in SD Negeri 01 Tanjuang Balik Kec. Pangkalan Koto Baru has not used a variety of active learning methods and is still not appropriate, this causes students to tend to be passive and the lack of teaching methods on the material delivered by the teacher especially the energy material and its changes. This is evidenced by the low learning outcomes of students who have not yet reached KKM 75. The formulation of the problem of this study is whether the Project Method can improve the learning outcomes of the Energy Science material and its Changes in Grade VI students at SD Negeri 01 Tanjuang Balik Kec. Poto Baru Base ?. The purpose of this study was to determine the Project Method to improve the learning outcomes of the Science of Energy and its material changes in Grade VI at SD Negeri 01 Tanjuang Balik Kec. Koto Baru Base. This research is a classroom action research conducted in three cycles, each cycle consisting of four stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The subjects of the study were the sixth grade students at SD Negeri 01 Tanjuang Balik Kec. Pangkalan Koto Baru, which has 29 students, includes 14 male students and 15 female students. Assessment instruments include lesson plans, teacher observation sheets, teacher and student observation sheets, and evaluation tests. Data collection methods used are interviews, observation, documentation, and tests. Descriptive data analysis techniques using the percentage formula, if ≥ 85% of students complete learning the cycle is stopped. The results showed that the project learning method could improve the learning outcomes of the Science of Energy and its material changes in Grade VI students of SD Negeri 01 Tanjuang Balik Kec. Koto Baru Base. The average student learning outcomes increase in each cycle, in the pre cycle the average student learning outcomes reached 66.21, the first cycle the average student learning outcomes reached 73.10, the second cycle the average student learning reached 83.10 and cycle III the average student learning reaches 90.34. The results showed that the project learning method could improve the learning outcomes of the Science of Energy and its material changes in Grade VI students of SD Negeri 01 Tanjuang Balik, Pangkalan Koto Baru District. Increased mastery learning with KKM 75 pre cycle there were 6 students (20.69%) completed learning and 23 students (79.31%) did not complete study. Cycle I obtained data on 12 students (41.38%) completing learning and 17 students (58.62%) not completing learning. Cycle II, there were 21 students (72.41%) completing learning and 8 students (27.59%) not completing learning. Cycle III there are 29 students (100%) completed learning and 0 students (0%) did not complete study. The results of these data can be seen that the value of student learning outcomes from pre-cycle to cycle III has increased. The implementation of learning in cycle III has met the established learning completeness criteria that is ≥ 75% of the total number of students who have finished learning, because what is achieved is the maximum value so that classroom action research is stopped in this third cycle.

Abstract

Yoghurt Green beans (Phaseolus radiatus L.) is a dairy product green beans fermented with the help of lactic acid bacteria (LAB). This green bean fermentation of milk has many benefits, among others, to preserve food products, provide texture and taste or flavor of the food product. In addition fermentation with BAL will reduce the unpleasant odors that are not favored by consumers on green bean milk. Work lactic acid bacteria (LAB) in fermented milk can help improve health, for people who suffer from lactose intolerance and can increase the protein content in green beans. As for the purpose of this research was to study the effect of lactic acid bacteria starter to the production of lactic acid and the protein content in the manufacture of yoghurt green beans (Phaseolus radiatus L.).This research was conducted in the laboratory of Biology STKIP Bangko YPM in October-December 2015. In this research, testing tertitrasi total lactic acid and protein content. This study uses a RAL (Complete Random Design). Type starter bacteria used are Lactobacillus bulgaricus, Streptococcus thermophillus and a combination of Lactobacillus bulgaricus with Streptococcus thermophillus. Starter concentration used was 5%. While the research results were analyzed using ANOVA, if the result of variance showed a difference, then followed by a further test DNMRT at the level of 5%. The results of this study indicate that the type of starter significant effect on the protein content of yogurt green beans while total lactic acid is not significant. The combination starter of Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophillus with a concentration of 5% which gives the best results the protein content of yogurt green beans that is equal to 14.592%. It can be concluded that this type of mixed starter of Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophillus influenced the protein content of yogurt green beans.

Abstract

The study aims to determined the interaction of liquid organic fertilizer and bioactive compost charcoal on peanut plants and to determined the effect of liquid organic fertilizer application on peanut plants and the effect of added bioactive compost charcoal on peanut plants. The research was conducted in Nagari Pasilihan, X Koto Diatas District, Solok Regency in March to June 2021. The design used was the Random Block Design of Factorial (RBDF), the treatment was arranged by a factorial 4 x 3 (12 combination treatments) in 3 repeats. The main factors are the dose of liquid organic fertilizer (A) namely: dose 0 ml / liter (A1), dose 4 ml / liter (A2), dose 6 ml / liter (A3) and dose 8 ml / liter (A4). The second factor is the dose of bioactive compost charcoal (M) which is: dose 100g (M1), dose 200g (M2) and dose 300g (M3). The data was analyzed statistically, and the Duncan New Multiple Range test (DNMRT) is carried out if obtained F calculates the > F table at a real level of 5%. The parameters observed was the height of the plant, the number of flowers, the number of pithy pods, the number of broken pods, the weight of the ground pods and the weight of 100 seeds. The treatment of super bionic POC and bioactive compost charcoal has no effect on crop height, number of damaged pods, weight of pods per crop and yield per hectare (ton/ha). But the interaction of treatment affects the number of flowers, the number of pithy pods and the weight of 100 seeds.
