Abstract

The purpose of this study was to compare the results of the examination and determine the factors that affect blood glucose levels while with fasting blood glucose levels in patients with diabetes mellitus at Toto Kabila Hospital. This research method uses a quantitative research approach with the type of research used in this study is an analytical observational research type. The population in this study were all patients with diabetes mellitus who had an examination. The sample used was 30 patients with a sampling technique using purposive sampling. The results of this study indicate that the factors that affect blood glucose levels during and fasting are age, obesity, genetic history and lifestyle, and there are differences in the results of the examination. fasting blood glucose and fasting blood glucose where the results of non-parametric analysis with a significant value (2-Tailed) that is .000 <0.05, from the results obtained the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is a metabolic disorder disease marked by the increase of blood sugar due to the decreased of insulin secretion by the pancreas beta cell and insulin resistance. By measuring the glycohemoglobin (HbA1C), it can be ascertained how much the percentage of hemoglobin pigment containing glucose is. This study aimed atinvestigating the description of HbA1c levels in diabetes mellitus patients at Puskesmas Dungaliyo. It was a descriptive study with a quantitative approach. The data were primary data collected form the evaluation result on HbA1c levels in diabetes mellitus patients and secondary data collected from questionnaires and medical records of diabetes mellitus at Health Center Dungaliyo. The technique of sampling was accidental sampling by having 39 respondents as samples.. Findings revealed that out of 39 samples, 35, or 89.7% had abnormal HbA1c levels, while, the rest 4 samples or 10.3% had normal HbA1c levels. It can be recomemended that Diabetes Mellitus patients should regularly check with the docror and check in the laboratory as well as maintain a healthy life style to have good Diabetes Mellitus control.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the patient's compliance level, the characteristics of pulmonary TB patients, and to find out the factors that affect compliance in outpatients at Kabila Health Center. The study was conducted using a quantitative approach, the population in this study is all outpatient tuberculosis patients at Kabila Health Center involving 28 sampling techniques used in this study are total sampling. This study is a descriptive study conducted observationally using research instruments, namely, The Informed Consent Form and the MMAS-8 Questionnaire. Data analysis is done using descriptive data analysis. From the results of the search of patient characteristics consisting of gender, age, education, and work, patients in Kabila health centers have a high level of adherence in the use of drugs for the healing process of TB disease. It can be seen in the results of the above study where the patient's compliance rate obtained a high category of 23 people or 82.14% low 5 or 17.85%. Abstract

This research aims todetermine the effect of basil leaf extract (Ocinum sanctum) on the growth of Staphylococcus aureus and the optimal concentration of basil leaf extract (Ocinum sanctum) in inhibiting the growth of Staphylococcus aureus. This research method used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments with 4 replications consisting of negative control (aquades), positive control (Amoxicillin), extract 20%, 40% and 60%. Research results obtained that basil leaf extract (Ocinum sanctum) has an effect on the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. The optimal concentration of basil leaf extract (Ocinum sanctum) in inhibiting the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria is at a concentration of 40% with the category of "strong" bacterial inhibition. Keywords :Basil (Ocinum sanctum), Staphylococcus aureus, Extract, Bacteria

Abstract

Many individuals still pay little attention to how to sleep well. During sleep, the body will produce the hormone melatonin. Normal production This melatonin hormone in the body can affect the number of leukocytes, especially neutrophils and lymphocytes. So this study aims to describe the number of leukocytes in individuals who sleep with the lights on using a hematology analyzer . The method in this study uses a quantitative approach to the type of research used in this is descriptive. The type of data used is primary data in the form of research results and documentation, as well as questionnaires and informed consent. The sampling technique in this study used a purposive sampling technique, with a total sample of 30 people. The data obtained from the results of this study are presented in the form of tables and narratives and then presented. Based on the results of the research that has been described, it can be concluded that the number of leukocytes in individuals who sleep with the lights on using a hematology analyzer consisting of 30 samples (100%) has a normal leukocyte count.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Formula I, II, and III on the physical stability of Hair tonic preparations. The research method used is a true experimental laboratory that aims to see or determine the best proportion of active ingredients in making hair tonic preparations with variations in the concentration of star fruit leaf extract, namely F1 (5%), F2 (10%), and F3 (15%), using the Physical Stability test parameters of the preparation, which include Organoleptic tests, homogeneity, pH, and Viscosity. The results of physical stability studies show that in organoleptic tests, F1, F2, and F3 have the same shape, aroma, and taste. Moreover, there are color differences. In the F1 homogeneity test, F2 and F3 have homogeneity. In the pH test of hair tonic preparations, the extract of Wuluh star fruit leaf at F1 (5%) before the cycling test averaged 4.50, while after the cycling test it averaged 4.57. F2 (10%) before the cycling test averaged 4.56; after the cycling test averaged 4.82; before the cycling test averaged 5.97; after the cycling test averaged 6.13. The viscosity value before the cycling test averaged 16183, while after the cycling test it averaged 15133. F2 (10%) before the cycling test averaged 16533, while after the cycling test it averaged 15433. F3 (15%) before the cycling test averaged 16866, while after the cycling test it averaged 15666.
