<![CDATA[Good development in an early childhood depends on the clean living behavior that is carried out. This clean living behavior starts from small things such as always washing hands with soap, throwing trash in its place, brushing teeth regularly, cutting fingernails and toenails regularly, and other small behaviors. However, there are many children who ignore clean living behavior because they still lack knowledge about cleanliness. In this second practical activity, a student majoring in Social Welfare, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of North Sumatra provided assistance to children at the Liora Terang Orphanage to improve clean living behavior at the Liora Terang Children's Orphanage. The provision of assistance in this activity is by using social intervention methods in the science of social welfare in groups (Groupwork). The stages carried out are the intake case; assessment and intervention planning; member selectors; group development; and evaluation and termination. The purpose of this second practicum activity is to increase children's independence in clean living behavior in children at the Liora Terang Children's Orphanage.]]>

<![CDATA[Life skills are various skills or abilities to be able to behave positively and adapt to the environment that enables a person to face various demands and challenges in his daily life effectively. One that includes life skills for adolescents is vocational skills, the point of which is how to turn hobbies and talents into independent living businesses. Hobby is a recreational activity that is done in spare time to calm one's mind. Talent is an innate ability in the form of potential that still needs to be developed or trained to achieve specific skills, knowledge and skills. Hobbies and talents are very useful for growing potential within. The author has carried out practicum activities at the Islamic Education Builders Orphanage which is guided and supervised by Mr. Fajar Utama Ritonga, S.Sos, M.Kesos as the school Supervisor and also the Teaching Lecturer for Practicum II Courses. The author chose 14 clients to carry out a mini project, namely "Growing Children's Hobbies and Talents at the Islamic Education Development Orphanage to Improve Life Skills (life skills)" using the approach method according to Zastrow. This Mini Project is carried out as the final goal of practicum II. These stages consist of intake case, assessment and program planning, member selection, group development, evaluation and termination.After doing this practicum, it is hoped that the client will be able to improve life skills through hobbies and talents.]]>

<![CDATA[Communication plays an important role in human relations. Through communication messages and ideas can be conveyed between humans to one another. Public speaking is a skill in communicating in public, which is very useful and must be owned by all parties to support self-confidence as well as develop and enhance a wide network of relationships. The inability to convey messages, ideas and ideas, coupled with the lack of confidence from BUMDes members and youth youth members is the reason behind holding public speaking training. The stages of the training activities were preceded by a pre-test to determine the participant's speaking ability and level of confidence. Submission of the theory of public speaking is carried out as a basis for the provision of knowledge and knowledge of the participants. Practice is a means of practicing skills after gaining knowledge, techniques and tips. The last post-test as an evaluation process of the results of the training. The training received positive responses and appreciation from the participants, the post-test results also showed an increase in the participants' speaking skills and self-confidence after receiving provision of knowledge and knowledge about public speaking.]]>

<![CDATA[Learning is important and cannot be separated from one's life, because in daily activities learning is like a unit that is bound by every person, both from an early age to old age. Learning is a positive activity to change or improve one's behavior, attitude to personality, not infrequently learning is also used as an effort to increase knowledge. Learning can be done anywhere and by anyone, learning is not only obtained through formal education. On the other hand, informal learning activities can also be carried out, for example studying at home. Today the effectiveness of learning can increase if individuals live it happily. Children are judged to get bored quickly with monotonous learning. To change this, there is one way that can be done, namely introducing new methods of learning. Learning on the terrace of the house with a child-friendly concept can be a solution. A similar thing was experienced by a group of children in the Ban Rejo hamlet, they experienced problems related to learning. They think learning is boring. Because of the problems above, executor provide services using the groupwork intervention method to restore the social functioning of the group.]]>

<![CDATA[Rehabilitation services for victims of drug abuse are usually dominated by men, but it is different in the Medan Insyaf Center which has rehabilitation services for women using the Theurapetic Community (TC) program. The number of social welfare service needs (PPKS) for women drug abuse victims at the Insyaf Center in Medan is not much compared to the many issues in society that it is embarrassing for women to be rehabilitated and the community also knows little about the existence of rehabilitation services for women drug abuse victims. a program that is given to women for six months with various activities carried out every day, the Theurapetic Community (TC) program that is used is the same as programs implemented in various rehabilitation services so that the need for social welfare services (PPKS) can change their behavior. The program itself is neatly arranged from getting up in the morning to going to bed at night every day. The many well-organized activities will not make the need for social welfare services (PPKS) for drug abuse victims feel bored or bored during the six-month long program. There are also those who don't want to go home because they need social welfare services (PPKS) to feel comfortable while carrying out the program and feel safe when they are in the Medan Insyaf Sentra environment. So the rehabilitation services for victims of drug abuse are not only for men, but women who are using drugs can also undergo rehabilitation.]]>

<![CDATA[The community service program is defined as the experience of science and technology carried out by universities in an institutional manner through scientific methods directly to the community. Community service carried out at the orphanage is a form of student service to provide useful knowledge for the surrounding community, especially at the orphanage. The author does a service at the Kartika Anak Indonesia Youth Orphanage with the specific aim of giving enthusiasm to hone children's imagination abilities. The main problem faced is children's time to play and learn. In addition to learning, children must also have time to play with friends, in order to train their social soul. Children's imagination abilities must also be developed so that they can think actively and creatively in all fields. Therefore, with this dedication the author intends to carry out a mini project at the orphanage by honing children's imagination abilities.]]>

<![CDATA[The implementation of Community Service (PkM) aims to improve teachers' ability to manage classroom learning by using a project-based learning model, especially in the independent learning curriculum. This type of PkM is a training activity and is followed by assistance in class with teachers and students of SMP Negeri 1 Torgamba. This community service is carried out by lecturers and students of FKIP, Labuhanbatu University. The results of the activity showed that the attitude of the teachers in receiving the training was very enthusiastic. To measure the success of PkM, mentoring is carried out by applying the learning model with teachers who have received training. The results of the activity show that learning outcomes and student learning activities increase by using a project-based learning model.]]>

<![CDATA[Every teacher is required to make interesting learning materials quickly and precisely. With current technological developments, these materials are no longer written manually. The use of Ms. Office has been widely used because it is faster in completing teaching materials, exam questions and so on. Based on the initial interview, the Headmaster said that the majority of the school’s teachers were not proficient in applying Ms. Office in making materials needed during the teaching and learning process. To provide a solution, this community service activity was carried out in the form of training for Ms. Office for 30 elementary and junior high school teachers. With a total implementation time of two days (16 hours) which includes theory and practice, the results show that there is an increase in ability to operate Ms. Office in the form of Ms. Word, Excel and PowerPoint so that teachers can not only produce the necessary materials but also complete other school administration more quickly.]]>

<![CDATA[Clitoria ternatae has many health benefits, one of which is to increase body immunity. As a flower that is easy to find and grows in various regions, this is one of the plants that can be used as a health drink in the form of wedang. This community service aims to provide knowledge and skills in making wedang with the main ingredients from nature. The training materials (theory and practice) were place at the houses of RT.07, RW.01 in the Landasan Ulin Village, Liang Anggang District, Banjarbaru. Apart from being aimed at providing education to local residents regarding the benefits of the butterfly pea flower, they are also educated on how to cultivate it, how to use it and how to pack it. So that later the local residents/communities can carry out the processing in an independent manner independently both for personal consumption and used as business.]]>

<![CDATA[in writing The purpose of writing this article is to look at the Medan City government's efforts to deal with the need for Social Welfare Services (PPKS), especially Street Children based on Medan Mayor Regulation Number 6 of 2003 concerning the Prohibition of Begging and Begging in Medan City which is carried out by the Medan City Social Service in coordination with the Civil Service Police Unit. Praja (Satpol PP) of Medan City and in collaboration with the Medan City Police. This journal discusses the process of dealing with Homeless and Beggars through the Social Rehabilitation Program carried out by the Medan City Social Service. Social rehabilitation is basically to restore and develop the abilities of someone who experiences social dysfunction so that they can carry out their social functions properly.
