Abstract

SMAN 1 Ketapang often win in regional to provincial level olympiads including physics, earth, astronomy, and geography. In supporting the achievements that have been achieved, Polytechnic State of Ketapang can contribute in terms of sharing knowledge about geography such as geological mapping using compass traverse. Compass traverse are generally used in regional geological mapping to measure, and describe rock units which are converted into mapping space. This mapping activity requires equipment such as a geological compass, which has not accommodated at school. Based on the analysis of the situation, the problems need to be solved by training in geological mapping using the compass traverse method as the implementation of geography lessons. The implementation of training activities is carried out by theory and field practice. The achievement of training objectives can be measured based on several achievement indicators such as the introduction of geological and topographic maps, training in the use of geological compasses and GPS, the practice of mapping compass traverse and processing compass traverse data. The results of the evaluation of the overall activity measurement of all indicators can be assessed as good with an average value of 76.75%.

Abstract

Mining Engineering as one of the D3 Study Programs at Politeknik Negeri Ketapang seeks to assist the government in preventing the spread of Covid-19 in Ketapang Regency. Through PKM activities in 2020, Mining Engineering provides an alternative to preventing the Covid-19 virus by making a natural disinfectant made from betel leaf and applied in sterilization booths. The sterilization booth with natural disinfectant liquid of betel leaf was given to one of the mosques in Ketapang Regency, Al-Muhdi Mosque, Pelang District, Ketapang Regency on Friday, July 10, 2020. It is hoped that this sterilization booth will make the surrounding community, especially the Al-Muhdi mosque congregation feel calm and comfortable during worship

Abstract

In the era of globalization, children are required to be able to learn the language of other countries in order to become their guide in exploring a world full of fierce competition from various directions in obtaining the necessities of life such as work, education, and so on. The language that is most recommended to be mastered is English, because English has been designated as a universal language that is commonly used to interact with people around the world. This activity was carried out with a comprehensive mentoring method for Rupin Yafsi's children through socializing the importance of using English in the era of globalization, using the Duolingo application, and testing out the learning achievements obtained after using the Duolingo application. The Intervention Program used in this practicum is the Mezzo Intervention by Zastrow which consists of; Preparation (with a Non-Directive Approach), Intake / Engagement, Assessment, Planning, Implementation and Action Plan, Evaluation and Termination. The final output achieved from this activity is the increase in the digital literacy skills of Rupin Yafsi's children in utilizing digital learning applications that are very useful to increase their new knowledge and insights

Abstract

The writing of this community service journal is the result of activities carried out to be able to provide socialization of the importance of understanding digital literacy in the face of learning in the 21st century era. This community service activity was carried out at Mekar Mukti State Elementary School 02, North Cikarang. This activity is carried out as an effort to improve students' abilities through reading literacy activities so as to foster interests and talents in learners from an early age as well as the literacy culture embedded in learners can affect the success rate and ability of learners to understand information analytically, critically, and reflectively

Abstract

Digital transformation is not just about a technological development, but occurs at the intersection of people, business and technology guided by a broader business strategy. In every community organization there must be problems and obstacles that hit every organizational journey as well as the United Batak Youth Organization which still uses conventional media in every activity, by maximizing this digital transformation it can improve Human Resources in the United Batak Youth organization, especially in DPAC Cengkareng in every activity. The method of implementing community service uses a zoom meeting application between tutors and participants, because it is still in PPKM Level 3. Members of the United Batak Youth are given counseling on the use of existing digital as supporting activities. The results of this counseling will be made an article in electronic media as part of a report related to the implementation of community service activities for members of the United Batak Youth (PBB) DPAC Cengkareng. This research focuses on the use of digital transformation in the Batak united youth organization (PBB)

Abstract

The purpose of this Community Service activity is to increase teacher competence in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. Some of the difficulties experienced by teachers during online learning are related to learning media, preparation of lesson plans and assessments. This PKM activity is in a virtual form, namely a Webinar which is carried out through the Zoom Meeting media. Where this activity is in collaboration with KKKS Mustika Dwija Sarana Sumpiuh with 240 participants as teachers. The method used is Service Learning. The results of this activity are able to increase teacher competence in the online learning process related to three things, namely first, the use of online learning media other than WA Group such as Zoom/GMeet, Google Classroom, and Learning Videos; second, increasing teacher competence in preparing online learning lesson plans or blended learning, and third, increasing teacher competence in preparing online learning assessments

Abstract

In addition to producing food products that are safe for consumption, food producers are also required to produce high quality products to meet consumer satisfaction. However, in reality, there are still many economic actors who do not understand how to improve and maintain the quality of their products. The second problem found by researchers in the pineapple stick business group is the lack of attractiveness of the product packaging offered. The purpose of this service activity in the form of training and mentoring is to help partners, in this case the pineapple stick production business group, to determine good packaging to extend shelf life, determine product packaging designs that can attract consumers' attention, and help business groups obtain NIB. Problem solutions are carried out in two stages of activity, namely preparation and implementation. The preparation stage is carried out with pre-survey activities, socialization and coordination of activities, preparation of work programs, preparation of training modules, and preparation of facilities and infrastructure during training and mentoring. The implementation phase is carried out in the order of socialization activities and assistance in the use of packaging materials, packaging design training and assistance, business group legality assistance, and ends with monitoring and evaluation.

Abstract

Generation Z, comprising individuals born from the mid-1990s to the early 2010s, bears increasing responsibility in managing their finances to achieve robust financial goals. Knowledge of good financial management is a key factor in ensuring the sustainability of financial well-being in the future. Recognizing that financial choices made at a young age will have long-term impacts, Generation Z is tasked with the crucial responsibility of understanding the concepts of savings, investments, and wise expenditures. The objective of the PKM is to provide education for young employees to effectively manage their finances. This activity will be conducted by the UMS Faculty Team through lectures and discussions with young employees, the Gen Z. With a better understanding of financial management, Generation Z employees can steer clear of financial pitfalls and attain better financial well-being in the future

Abstract

Indonesia is an agricultural country with fertile agricultural land, so that most of Indonesia's population works in agriculture. The welfare of the farming community is a condition that reflects the living conditions of the community, which can be seen from the standard of living of the community. Welfare can be interpreted as the adequacy to meet their own needs. Needs that increase from year to year make people have to increase their desire to meet household needs, not only the needs for boards, clothing and food but needs such as education, health and other unexpected things later. The type of research conducted is field research which is descriptive in nature, namely describing systematically, factually and accurately regarding the facts, characteristics and relationships between the phenomena studied. Methods of data collection in this study using interviews, observation and documentation. Based on the results of the research and discussion in this study, it can be concluded that not all Zalacca farmers in Parsalakan Village feel deficient in their crops. Not all Zalacca farmers process their Zalacca if the Zalacca produced is not good. Zalacca farmers are able to fulfill their basic needs such as spiritual needs, shelter, food, clothing and health. In addition to the spiritual needs of salak farmers, they are also able to meet their psychological needs, such as education, interaction within the family and interaction with the environment in which they live. Apart from harvesting zalacca, salak farmers also have side jobs such as growing fruits, vegetables, and selling candied zalacca online.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (CSP) aims to enhance the understanding and skills of production unit managers and students regarding Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to uphold the quality, safety, and competitiveness of products produced by the SMK N 1 Sungai Raya production unit. The CSP activities involve GMP training and mentoring, engaging 16 students, one production unit coordinator, and one teacher. Conducted at the production unit at SMK N 1 Sungai Raya, the implementation includes preparation, execution, and evaluation stages. Participants exhibited high enthusiasm during the GMP training, attentively absorbing the material presented by the community service team. The outcomes of this activity have improved participants' understanding of GMP principles and their skills in applying GMP aspects in food processing production. Overall, the CSP successfully assisted the production unit of SMK N 1 Sungai Raya in enhancing product quality, safety, and competitiveness through increased knowledge of managers and students regarding GMP principles in food production processes.
