Abstract

Tutorial Learning in education is a part of creativity to increase an innovative and adaptive in learning systems by which the curriculum applied through the teaching learning process. In concerned to global demand as the digital base of manner in academics, the students and lecturers of the Faculty of Teacher Training, University of HKBP Nommen Medan carried out Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) entitled "Program of Learning Tutorial of Bahasa Indonesia, Mathematics, Social Sciences, and English in SD Negeri 035950 Silencer, Dairi Regency. This tutorial learning was aimed at the encouragement and the improvement of the quality of the teaching and learning process which is ultimately expected to the increase of the academic achievement on students’ perceptions in accordance to their respective efforts and abilities. Having done the tutorial learning, students are more enthusiastic about doing school assignments well and no tasks are neglected because of the guidance. In addition, participants' understanding of the subject matter at school was further increased by the material being taught during class meetings

Abstract

Cilebut Timur is one of the villages in Bogor Regency which is in Sukaraja District. Based on data in 2019, there were 15,987 people of which 7,852 were women and 3,286 were housewives. a total of 20 housewives in RW XIV, Cilebut Timur village, participated in training on the production, sanitation and marketing of functional praline chocolate. Participants directly practice making praline chocolate using fillings that have health values ​​such as pickled garlic, sesame, and koro beans so that praline chocolate is a functional food that is good for the body as well as a commercial product for entrepreneurship. After the activity, the participants had the desire to apply the skills given during the training and apply side businesses to improve family prosperity. Participants also assessed that overall this activity was very good in terms of responsiveness, empathy, tangible, reliability, assurance and continuity.

Abstract

Student learning in rural elementary schools during the Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on learning motivation. Learning activities in Purworejo Village, Pilangkenceng, Madiun Regency during the Covid-19 Pandemic experienced obstacles. Learning using information technology cannot run optimally. Many elementary school students lack motivation in reading and arithmetic. The purpose of service activities is to improve student literacy and numeracy through the reading corner program. The target of this service activity is elementary school students in Purworejo Village, Kacan Pilangkenceng, Madiun Regency. The service method is carried out with assistance, including survey activity procedures, socialization, training, learning, and evaluation. The results of the implementation of the "Reading Corner" program activities can increase students' independence by 60%, and increase literacy-numeracy skills by 50%. The activity of the "Reading Corner" program can be followed up as a digital corner program as an effort to develop digital literacy in the village.

Abstract

Community Service which is integrated with the Independent Thematic Real Work Lecture Merdeka Learning Campus (KKNT MBKM) which was held in Benowo Village, Pakal District, Surabaya City is one of the community empowerment efforts that focuses on home-based businesses (UKM) through mentoring and creative economic training for the community. local. The purpose of the KKNT is to implement the knowledge that students gain in college to help village development and contribute ideas for solutions to social issues. The problems in Benowo Village are the number of SMEs who are not aware of the importance of business branding and business strategy, the lack of optimal use of information technology, and limited knowledge related to digitalization. The method used in community empowerment in Benowo Village is a participatory approach, which includes three stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. The program carried out is to help empower MSME owners in Benowo Village through business rebranding assistance programs, business training and online marketing, as well as digital content management assistance. MSMEs that are incorporated include small and home-based industries, including: making baked brownies, opat flops, nuggets and sambal pecel, and making pastries. After the implementation of this program, it is hoped that partner MSMEs can continue to develop and follow the development of digitalization so that later they can improve the economic level of the surrounding residents.

Abstract

Family, especially parents, are the first source of education every child have. The growth and development process of children are strongly determined by the role of the parents. Unfortunately, not all children have this opportunity. Orphanage home become the option for the unfortunate children to gain the same chance. However, the number of the children is not proportional to the number of orphanage educators. This, in turn, making the educators could not look after the children thoroughly which leads to another problem. The lack of guidance and supervision from the orphanage’s eductor in the children’s learning process results in decreased motivation and the desire to learn, further dimming their passion to achieve their dreams. The target is to increase their knowledge and their enthusiasm to learn so that they have motivations to reach their dreams. In this case work activity, one of the orphanage children is invited to learn various subjects via interesting study method by using youtube and mathematic applications such as Math Online and Sumas. The intervention method used in this activity is Zastrow’s casework method, which consist of intake and contract, assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. In addition, the tools used in the assessment step is Tools Assessment Ecomap.

Abstract

Globalization is a situation that will be faced by almost all countries, including Indonesia. And globalization will certainly have an impact on all people from various walks of life and backgrounds, including orphanages. In addition, the main problem of orphanages in general is how the survival and ability of the orphans after graduating from high school level and the lack of skills they have, especially for children in the Menara Kasih Indonesia Orphanage, Medan City. The output target to be achieved is the formation and improvement of children who have values ​​and the ability to speak English in their preparation to face globalization. The solution offered in this Field Work Practice activity is group learning by introducing and inculcating the benefits of the importance of English, as well as teaching various basic materials from English. And also in this activity, holding a mini project, which will solve the problem of one of the clients at the Menara Kasih Indonesia Orphanage, using the Casework method which consists of 5 stages namely Engagement, Intake and Contract, then Assessment, then Program Planning, then Intervention, and ends with Evaluation and Termination.

Abstract

Abstract. Ngudi Makmur women's farmer group is one of the groups that was established by non-governmental organizations. This farmer group has produced processed products from residents' land. The harvest from this farming is then sold to the surrounding community or from outsiders. As a means of delivering information and promoting processed products, farmer groups need media, one of which is a video profile. The video profileproduction training process is carried out in 3 stages, namely pre-production, production and post-production. In the pre-production process, the authors collect data by means of observation, interviews, documentation and also literature with information related to the object of service activities. The location of the observation in making this video profilewas carried out in the joglo village RW 05. In the production stage, the author used a Canon 1100d DSLR Camera, Canon 1200d DSLR Camera, Canon Fix 50mm STM Lens, Somita Tripod Camera ST-3520 and in the post-production stage in editing using Lenovo thinkped X260 and Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2017. The results from pre- to post-production, the authors together with partners can produce a video profilethat is better able to provide an overview of KWT activities, processed products produced and the achievements of the Women Farmers group.

Abstract

Community service as an embodiment of one of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education carried out by Students of the Social Welfare Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of North Sumatra through Practicum I at the Social Service of Padang Sidempuan City, which is located at Jl. Jendral Abdul Harris Nasution, No. 77 Pal IV Pijorkolong, Kec. North Padang Sidempuan , Padangsidimpuan City, North Sumatra. The development of technology at this time is very rapid, educational games are gradually being used as a learning tool in the world of education and can be used as a benchmark for producing more effective and efficient learning methods. Learning English for teenagers through playing games is an effective method for learning languages. The objectives of learning English through this game media include (1) increasing the enthusiasm of students to learn English. (2) improve the basic English skills of teenagers through effective, creative and interesting study learning.

Abstract

Education is one of the crucial components of achieving prosperity. Education can support the quality of human resources, which will undoubtedly impact the progress of a nation. This it is essential to grow and improve children's enthusiasm for learning from an early age. Various efforts were made to encourage children's learning spirit, including the children at the Cinta Kasih Orphanage in Medan. Most children there prefer to play and have less enthusiasm for school, let alone an interest in learning, especially for those under ten years old. Through Practicum 1 activity held from March to May 2022, the author carried out a mini project for one of the children at the Cinta Kasih Orphanage in Medan. This activity is carried out using the casework method with general stages, including Engagement Intake Contract, Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Monitoring and Evaluation, and ends with Termination. The tools used in the assessment are ecomap tools that help find the sources of problems and a support system to overcome the problems experienced by clients. After going through the process using these stages and tools, the goal of growing and increasing the enthusiasm for children's learning in the orphanage was proven to be achieved. Of course, this will significantly affect the development of the client. Clients are motivated to continue learning at schools and orphanages with fun methods.

Abstract

Education is a very important thing in human life. However, there are still some people who think that education is only the background of life. Where they just follow the flow of their education without remembering (even forgetting) and understanding the lessons learned. This also happened to one of the children in the Al-Jam Washliyah orphanage who needed help to improve his memory in lessons. In providing assistance through Praktkum I mini project activities, using the casework method through general or general intervention stages including: Engagement intake contract, assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of follow-up termination. Where this process is a problem-solving strategy given to the client, namely using the singing method which aims to improve the client's learning memory. And from this strategy the client is expected to develop the coveted and capabilities.
