Abstract

This article is intended to express the basis of policy changes in curriculum 2013, the elements of changes, and the implications of changes in the 2013 curriculum learning system. The results show that the policy of the 2013 curriculum change is based on internal and external challenges that are faced by some Indonesian people in order to prepare for their future generations that are much more productive, creative, innovative, and effective. Curriculum policy in 2013 is intended to fulfill some existing shortcomings that are in the previous curriculum. Curriculum 2013 is compiled to develop and to strengthen attitudes, knowledge, and skills in a balanced way. The change of policy in 2013 regarding the four elements of curriculum changes are on Competency Standards (SKL), Content Standard (SI), Standard Process, and Assessment Standards. Furthermore, the learning system of curriculum policy changes in 2013 makes the impact on four issues, they are the learning models of thematic-integrated, scientific approach, active strategies, and authentic assessment.

Abstract

Policy implementation is a process applying the decision of policy which usually early with a compilation of the program, a project of till to activities for resolving a problem of becoming policy agenda. Ministry of the Religion Republic Of Indonesia also has plans for the implementation of the policy of Curriculum 2013 in all ladder of the madrasah, including one of them at the ladder of madrasah ibtidaiyah, the start year 2014. This implementation has of implication to change various education aspect in madrasah like Standard Process, Standard Content, Standard Interest Grad, Standard Assessment, and also at Textbook Lesson. This paradigm becomes someone's reference or institution in taking decisions and policies to act.

Abstract

This paper is going to discuss and to provide solutions for the problems of dualism policy in the Islamic higher education institution. The effort to integrate religious education and general education has not reached a satisfactory result. Several concepts have been offered, but they still leave the problems of dualism policy in the Islamic higher education institution. Therefore, I offer the concept of hybridization of higher educations. This endeavor is very urgent to be done because there is a tendency of Islamic higher education institutions and general higher education institutions to be more apart, although there are the offers of the concept of science Islamization, Islam as Science, or the integration and interconnection of science.

Abstract

Education Management Information System (EMIS) is intended to provide real data to support the decision-maker. The study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of EMIS in making decisions in ‘Mapenda’ of the Ministry of Religious of ‘Gunungkidul’ district. The results showed that EMIS which is the basis of an educational database for making policy has not been able to use it well. Data of EMIS is only used as initial data and it is done to cross-check through direct meetings or through telephone communication that requires a lot of time. The obstruction is the process of EMIS data collection that is done only at a certain time, so the data is not updated, the issues of EMIS application, the ability to manage EMIS, and the participation of headmaster with the data collection.

Abstract

KH. Imam Zarkasyi is one of the founding fathers of Gontor Modern Islamic Boarding School and also a famous national figure. The writer proposes to study moral education especially in the perspectives of KH. Imam Zarkasyi. The writer describes KH. Imam Zarkasyi’s definition of moral education, then the measurement of moral and method of teaching moral. The study is found that moral is action science or knowledge about things that show the good and bad elements in living in society, and moral education is action education or delivering the knowledge on the measurement of moral, that shows the bad and good things in living in society, and the measurement is the absolute one. Moral education can be categorized into two; physical and spiritual-moral education. Here, the writer concludes that in inculcating moral, there is no difference between physical and spiritual, but the integrated system as one education method.

Abstract

This study is about the Mu’adalah Boarding School Policy and the Implementation of the curriculum at the Islamic Senior High School (Madrasah Aliyah) Salafi Tremas Pacitan. The educational institution of the Islamic boarding school is an inseparable part of the national educational system. This changes the mindset and point of view of the previous Islamic boarding school that was considered as a non-formal institution that did-not gets a good appreciation of its graduates. The research findings show that the mua’adah Islamic boarding school has been established as an institution that is equivalent to other formal educational institutions by the ministry of religion. The status of Salafiyah Islamicsenior high school is stronger. Furthermore, it must be improved directly its educational quality, teacher competences, and the curriculum implementation of the Islamic SeniorHigh School of Salafiyah Tremas Pacitan.

Abstract

The behavior deviationism in almost our daily activities has caused the realization that“character education” is very important, and the fact that our education system failed to achieve its goals. Therefore, it looks as if there were no solutions – multidimensions crisis. Education must be a solution of a nation to gain the true development and prosperity. To know what really happen in our educational system and practice, it was done the research, in the 29 Islamic Senior High Schools (MA) in Kudus. These research findings show that the concept of character education has substantively the same concept with the system of Islamic school education (madrasah), its difference is only in the referable value. The concept of philosophical character education refers to anthropocentric, and madrasah refers to theocentric (religion). The socio-historic system of the madrasah is really the model of character education or character based on a character that is suitable for the condition in Indonesia.

Abstract

Paper ini membahas tentang perlunya kesetaraan laki-laki dan perempuan dalam pendidikan. Melalui penelusuran teks-teks sejarah, karya-karya ulama klasik di dunia Islam sejak jaman sahabat hingga konteks Indonesia masa kini, ditemukan adanya dinamika dan variasi apresiasi masyarakat, pandangan ilmuwan terhadap kesempatan pendidikan maupun kepemimpinan perempuan dalam politik di dunia Islam. pada sebagian kurun sejarah kaum wanita dianggap sebagai warga kelas dua sehingga tidak memiliki akses terhadap pendidikan maupun pengembangan diri yang setara dengankaum laki-laki. Penulis kemudian mengelaborasi pembahasan tersebut dengan konteksnya di Indonesia. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa perempuan harus dimerdekakan dari situasi kekerasan atas nama apapun untuk dapat mengembangkan potensi-potensi dirinya. kebijakan-kebijakan public harus dirumuskan untuk memungkinkan perempuan menjadi ahli dalam melakukan peran-peran sosial, politik dan kebudayaannya disamping dan bersama kaum laki-laki.

Abstract

Pengelompokan kata benda Bahasa Arab ke dalam jenis mudzakkar dan muannats kerap kali menjadi sumber pemahaman yang terkesan bias gender. Penggolongan semacam ini merupakan salah satu karakteristik bahasa Arab yang berbeda dengan bahasa lainnya. Dengan adanya klasifikasi tersebut, dapat dipahami bahwa bahasa Arab memberikan pembedaan yang baku terhadap perbedaan jenis kelamin. Bias gender dalam bahasa Arab sangat menarik untuk dikaji bukan untuk merendahkan bahasa tersebut, tetapi untuk memahami apa sebenarnya bias gender dalam bahasa Arab tersebut sehingga kita tidak terjebak dalam pemahaman yang keliru dan terkesan merendahkan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa apabila dikaji lebih mendalam, justru karakteristik mudzakar dan muannats yang ada dalam bahasa Arab merupakan suatu keunikan serta kekayaan yang mungkin tidak dijumpai dalam bahasa lain.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menyingkap bias gender dalam buku teks pendidikan agama Islam dan Kristen sebagai dasar untuk mempromosikan pendidikan agama berwawasan gender secara faktual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa buku teks pelajaran pendidikan agama Islam dan Kristen yang dipelajari oleh siswa dewasa ini, hanya berisi sedikit nilai norma gender.Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya revisi materi pendidikan agama yang lazim diimplementasikan pemahaman tentang bias gender oleh para guru profesional. Hal ini sebagai gerakan inovasi pendidikan agama tentang kesetaraan (equality) dan keadilan (equity) antara perempuan dengan lakilaki dalam akses ekonomi, sosial budaya dan politik
