Abstract

Community service program for lecturers in the Department of Electrical Engineering, in order to fulfill the Tridharma of the Padang State Polytechnic College (PNP) for the 2024 fiscal year. The activity carried out is the installation of an Off Grid Solar Power Plant (PLTS) at Surau Nur Jannah in the Puncak Labuang tourist area Sweet Limau Padang City. Based on the Limau Manis sub-district planning analysis document for the next five years, one of the potentials that will be developed to improve the community's economy is to make the Puncak Labuang area a glamping/camping ground tourism area, farming education with an environmentally friendly concept. Currently, the development of this tourist area is carried out independently by the community by working together, such as building a prayer room. Based on the results of field visits and meetings between the PNP thematic service team and the community, on that occasion the community expressed complaints about limited human resources related to the development of the Puncak Labuang tourist area. Some of the issues raised include graphic design, spatial planning, governance, the need for clean water and the availability of electrical energy. PNP, through its community service activities, helps find solutions to solve problems in the Puncak Labuang tourist area by involving all departments in the PNP so that the Puncak Labuang tourist area can be known and visited by tourists.

Abstract

UMKM (Usaha Menengah, Kecil, dan Mikro) merupakan unit usaha produktif yang berdiri sendiri, dilakukan oleh orang perorangan atau badan usaha di semua sektor ekonomi. Kendala yang sering dihadapi pelaku UMKM adalah kurangnya pemanfaatan produk multimedia dalam operasional usahanya, khususnya di bagian pengenalan produk/pemasaran. Tim pengabdian kepada masyarakat melakukan kunjungan dan mengindetifikasi permasalahan yang dialami oleh mitra UMKM. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah membuatkan produk multimedia yang dapat digunakan mitra untuk mendukung kegiatan pemasaran/pengenalan produk usahanya. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan dari tanggal 1-27 Juli 2024. Kegiatan ini melibatkan tim dosen dan mahasiswa dari Universitas Gunadarma. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kasus, dimana tim melakukan identifikasi secara langsung ke lokasi mitra, melakukan diskusi, dan merencanakan produk yang akan dibuat. Selanjutnya tim pengabdian melakukan proses desain yang telah dikonfrimasikan ke mitra. Desain yang telah disetujui kemudian diproduksi dan diserahkan ke mitra. Produk multimedia yang dibuat antara lain berupa stiker kemasan, banner, pamflet digital, dan poster. Produk multimedia diterima oleh mitra dengan baik dan dapat langsung digunakan untuk menunjang kegiatan usaha mitra.

Abstract

Computer-Aided Design (CAD) technology is a form of automation that helps designers to improve drawings, specifications, and elements related to design using special graphic effects and computer program calculations. Technology that combines computers with CAD software with CNC (Computer Numeric Control) production machines, where this technology is used for various products in the environment and architecture, electronics, and aerodynamics (air dynamics), automotive engineering and product design. While CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) is a technology for planning, arranging and controlling product manufacturing with the help of computers. CAD-CAM is a compulsory course taught to students of Mechanical Engineering Study Program and other study programs related to engineering or machine design. One of the study programs that studies CAD-CAM is the D4 Mechanical Production and Maintenance Engineering Study Program from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Bengkalis State Polytechnic, but it has not been implemented in depth. Based on this, this community service was carried out for students of the Mechanical Engineering Department of the Bengkalis State Polytechnic. Through this community service, training was provided to students about CAD-CAM materials and their use in the industrial world such as in the milling and lathe machining process and in the 3D printing process. In addition, there was also a sharing of experiences in operating 3D printing brands Ender-K1 owned by the Bengkalis State Polytechnic CNC laboratory so that it could operate optimally.
