Abstract

Energi Surya adalah sumber energi yang tidak akan pernah habis ketersediaannya dan energi dapat di manfaatkan sebagai sumber energi alternatif yang akan di ubah menjadi energi listrik, dengan menggunakan sel surya. Pemanfaatan energi baru terbarukan dapat dikembangkan khususnya bagi nelayan yang sehari-hari berada di pesisir pantai dengan tingkat pencahayaan matahari yang sangat tinggi. Sehingga diperlukan perlengkapan yang dapat membantu nelayan untuk mempermudah aktifitas di kapal khususnya instalasi penerangan dengan memanfaatkan energi matahari. Pemanfaatan energi matahari digunakan pada sebuah kapal nelayan yang biasanya memakai bahan bakar minyak bumi, bertujuan untuk membantu nelayan dalam inovasi teknologi dan meminimalisir pemakaian minyak bumi sebagai bahan bakar pada kapal nelayan. Proses dan tahapan dalam rancang bangun pembangkit listrik tenaga surya di Kapal Nelayan didasari oleh permasalahan terkait mengenai keterbatasan sumber energi, sehingga pembangkit listrik tenaga surya dibuat sebagai alternatif untuk kebutuhan penerangan dan beban pada kapal nelayan. Dengan anggaran biaya Rp.2.240.000 bisa dibangun sebuah pembangkit listrik tenaga surya untuk instalasi penerangan dengan komponen-komponen yang digunakan solar cell 100 Wp, inverter dengan kapasitas 500 watt, solar charge controller kapasitas 10 A, baterai dengan kapasitas 12 V/50 Ah, lampu LED 10 watt sebanyak 3 buah, kabel NYM dengan ukuran 2 x 1,5 mm2, saklar tunggal dan MCB 2 dengan kapasitas 2 Ampere.

Abstract

Sand is an important material in building construction for residential houses, places of worship, offices, educational facilities, and other buildings. Sand generally consists of sand mixed with gravel and stone. An automatic sand sieving machine makes separating rock gravel from sand easier. Making an automatic sand sieving machine aims to get better quality and cleaner sand screening results. This sand sifter machine is made to prevent the entry of gravel in the sieving process. In addition, the sand sieving process can be more efficient and effective. The automatic sand sieving machine has dimensions of 100 cm long, 70 cm wide, and 80 cm high. The test results of the sand sieving machine can sift sand with a capacity of 5 kg in 15 seconds and a sand capacity of 10 kg in 32 seconds.

Abstract

Hardenability is the ability of a material to harden to a certain depth utilizing heat treatment to form martensite upon cooling to achieve a certain hardness. The hardness of a metal, especially steel, can be modified without adding alloying elements and is done by heat treatment. Steel's hardenability value is strongly influenced by the carbon content (carburizing) in the steel structure. Increasing the hardness of a material can be done by adding carbon to the object's surface during heat treatment. The Rockwell Hardness Test method measures the surface of the hardness. The test results on the specimens showed that the carburizing process of each specimen increased the hardness of the surface of the specimen. The distribution of hardenability values ​​is close to a linear line, namely the heat treatment temperature 900oC.

Abstract

Damage to the forklift will cause problems that have an impact on inhibiting other activities. So that good and continuous maintenance is needed to maintain the performance of the tool. The purpose of this study is to plan periodic maintenance on the forklift to avoid damage that can stop the operation of the forklift. The method used in this study is to collect data, make direct observations of the damage that occurs to the hydraulic pump, and conduct interviews with experienced mechanics who handle the forklift. The results of the research are maintenance planning with Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance methods, by implementing daily, weekly, monthly and yearly maintenance activities. In daily maintenance, inspections will be carried out, check all lubrication and perform service. Daily maintenance is carried out every 8 working hours, weekly is carried out every 60 working hours. Monthly maintenance is carried out every 250 working hours, while annual maintenance is carried out every 2500 working hours. The operation of the 5 tons FD 50-7 Forklift unit must be in accordance with the Manual Book. So that the service life of the unit and its components is in accordance with the life time

Abstract

The coastal area of ​​Madura has many fishing boats or fishing vessels of various types and sizes. The construction of traditional ships is carried out by groups of workers or traditional shipyards which are not permanent, technological readiness is still minimal, and the workforce is very limited. Especially in traditional shipyards in the coastal area of ​​Madura or throughout Indonesia's coastal areas, which still rely on skills from generation to generation, so it is difficult to achieve the ship size desired by the customer, even the deviation of the size in tons can reach 25 percent. This situation shows the weakness of the technology applied in the traditional shipbuilding industry. Therefore, the technology of dowel making machine for making wooden dowels is carried out 3 in 1 with the function of shaving wood, cutting wood as desired and sharpening pegs or wood. All work is done in one machine which can be done automatically by setting the desired peg size and running with a microcontroller system. Tests have been carried out on a 3 in 1 dowel machine using 2 motors, the average time is equal to or more than 1 minute/1 piece of peg. Testing the tool using 1 motor obtained an average time of less than 30 seconds to produce 1 wooden peg.

Abstract

Periodical Service is engine care to reduce the frequency of damage and duration of the injury. Good and efficient care can keep the tool's operating times, keep it in production, reduce the cost of unexpected damage. The purposes are to: (1) Perform Periodical Service activities during the activity, (2) Find when Periodical Service consists of PS 250, PS 500, PS 1000 and PS 2000, (3) Know the results of Periodical Service. Implementation of the Periodical Service fulfilled at PT. Madhani, especially in Volvo trucks, includes changing engine oil, changing engine oil filters, changing transmission oil and filters, changing final drive oil to the battery and electrical checks. With the Periodical Service data program showing PA (Physical Avelaibelity) results of over 95%, MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) of over 3000 hours, and MTTR (Mean Time To Repair) of less than 20 hours, this is very effective and efficient to increasing production.

Abstract

Developments in the field of materials, especially the use of polymers as basic materials, are growing, this is because it meets human needs in improving welfare by processing a basic material into a material that can be used. Synthetic materials such as polymers are widely used in the manufacture of materials combined with other materials. So that it can create new materials either by adding natural fibers or synthetic fibers. Composites can be arranged using natural fibers, such as jute fibers then combined with woven roving. Jute fiber is an organic waste that is widely obtained as a burlap sack hole in traditional markets. Synthetic fibers or artificial fibers have advantages such as strong, corrosion and heat resistant fibers and are easy to mass produce. Making composites can be done several methods, one of which is using the vacuum bagging method with a technique of using pressure to direct the resin to the fibers. The researcher's goal is to determine the characteristics of tensile tests and bending tests using vaccum bagging. There are also tests carried out in the form of tensile tests that refer to the ASTM D638 standard variations of natural and synthetic fiber specimens (hybrid) In the form of yield values of 62.94 Mpa and tensil 85.9. Non-hybrid fibers can be yielded at 28.7 Mpa and tensile at 32.9 Mpa. While the bending test. In hybrid fibers, bending strength is obtained with a value of 1,126.96 MPa. In non-hybrid fibers, bending strength results were obtained with a value of 643.30 Mpa.

Abstract

The low level of accuracy and precision in the process target tracking by military causing casualties because of shooting error. Shooting error can be due because of human-error like fatigue. Therefore, this study aims to design a system that can detect and lock target automatically so that shooting errors can be minimized. On the implementation, the system uses color detection, which is a part of the digital image processing method. The target image, which has been recorded by a webcam, will be processed by a Raspberry Pi 3b+ using Python and the OpenCV library. Research results shown the ARO-GUN system can perform precise detection on a predetermined target with 100% accuracy of target detection also capable of accurately detecting the target in the light intensity range of 750-1000 lux. Therefore, the ARO-GUN system has been able to meet the design goal to detect accurately so it’s can minimize shooting errors.

Abstract

The creation of this final project project can turn on and off the lights using the internet network. The internet is an extensive network that can be accessed by anyone and anywhere. In this Final Project, the lamp control application used is an application that is very common in society, namely telegram. By using the telegram bot we can connect with the module used for the light controller. With this remote light control tool, we can turn the lights off or on even from abroad. Only by using our smartphones, we can do this under any circumstances. We can also check the status of the lamp we control whether it is on or is in a dead state.The results of the design of lamp control via Telegram using components in the form of lights, relays, NodeMCU ESP8266 modules. After programming the NodeMCU ESP8266 module, in the design of this tool, the following components were obtained, namely 20 watts 4 lamps, 4 channel 1 relays, ESP8266 NodeMCU Modules with a maximum input of 12 volts.

Abstract

In developing countries the necessity and the possibilities to manufacture machines locally are inc!easing. Often be necessary equipment, machines, material and the skilled labour as well as technical staff are available, but what is missing is the information and the know-how. One category of machines used to harness walet power and which can be produced locally, are water turbines. In some countries there is an established tradition in the production, installing and running of small water mills. Often these are units with simple vertical axis wheels or are large water wheels. For example, one country with experience on vertical axis water wheels.This research summarizes the simple calculations for designing a Pelton turbine with a head of water falling of 1130 m, with a discharge of Q = 28.5 m3/s, so that based on the calculations, a power of P = 288 MW is obtained.
