Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of guidance and counseling in reducing social media addiction in students. The method used in this research is Systematic Literature Review (SLR), which is to find data or literature from journals and articles to be identified, evaluated, processed and analyzed. This research indicates that guidance and counseling has 6 roles in reducing social media addiction in students, namely as a program planner, administrator, adviser, consultant, informer and tester. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that guidance and counseling have many important roles in reducing social media addiction in students.

Abstract

Secondary school teachers need to have strong Mathematics Content Knowledge of chance and combination to teach effectively and help students understand the concepts. This study aims to describe the correlation between Mathematics Content Knowledge of senior and junior secondary school teachers. The research subjects in this study were 17 secondary school teachers consisting of senior and junior teachers. The results were analyzed using Pearson Correlation to describe the relationship between MCK and teacher tenure. Furthermore, two subjects (one senior teacher and one junior teacher) were taken to be interviewed and described the ability to solve chance and combination problems. The results showed that there was no correlation between MCK and teacher seniority. In the context of chance, r , while in the context of combination r . Based on the test and interview results, it was found that senior teachers performed the algorithm more sequentially and completely than junior teachers. This can be caused by the readiness of senior teachers in solving the problems given. The researcher hopes that there will be further research with more subjects and more varied materials.

Abstract

The Learning Cell is a form of cooperative learning model. In this model one of the students has to act as a tutor. The Learning Cell can also help students understand difficult subject matter. The Learning Cell model provides opportunities for students to learn and explain to their friends according to their abilities. This study aims to determine the effect of the Learning Cell on problem solving abilities. The type of research is quantitative with a One-Shot Case Study design with a population of all class VIII students of SMP YPM 2 Sukodono, data collection was carried out during a pandemic so that the sample was only 10 students from class VIII-A using a simple random sample. Data collection techniques using observation, tests, and interviews. The purpose of observation is to assess the activities achieved by teachers and students during learning, tests are used to assess students' abilities after learning, and interviews are used to obtain research supporting data. From the results of the analysis, it is found that the assumptions are fulfilled, the residuals are normally distributed, are homogeneous, and there is no correlation between the residuals. While the partial regression obtained = 0,428 and 2,306, so (-2,306) (0,428) (2,306). Finally, H0 is accepted or there is no effect of the Learning Cell on problem solving ability.

Abstract

Self-efficacy has a role in one's success in achieving goals. Self-efficacy is a factor that can encourage students to understand concepts correctly. This study describes students' understanding of concepts in solving generating function problems based on self-efficacy. The subjects were 23 students who were given self-efficacy questionnaires and tests related to generating functions. The results of students' understanding of concepts with very high self-efficacy are very good. Students who have high self-efficacy have different levels of understanding of concepts. Sequentially, their level of understanding of the concept is very high, sufficient, and high. Understanding the concept of students with sufficient self-efficacy is less, sufficient, very high. Students with a specific level of self-efficacy have different levels of conceptual understanding in some of the sub-materials being studied. Students who have the same level of self-efficacy have the opportunity to have different levels of understanding of concepts.

Abstract

The research was conducted to describe the application of the Creative Problem Solving learning model on Opportunity Material. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research conducted without testing hypotheses. The data taken in the form of: the teacher's ability to manage learning, student activities during learning, student learning outcomes, and student responses to the CPS learning process. The research was conducted at Yapenas Gempol Junior High School, class VIII, totaling 37 students. The data collection instruments were observation sheets, learning outcomes tests, and response questionnaires. The results showed that the teacher's ability to implement the creative problem solving learning model was categorized as good with an observation value of 3.25. Student activity during the creative problem solving learning model is categorized as active because 29 students get an activity score of ≥ 75%. Students' learning outcomes after following the learning were categorized as complete by obtaining a score of 82.7%. Student responses to the creative problem solving learning model were categorized as positive because of 13 student response items, 11 items were categorized as very good and 2 items were categorized as good.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of active learning strategies based on Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education to improve students' understanding of concepts in quadratic function material. This research uses a quantitative approach with quasi-experimental research methods. The data collection technique used is the test technique. The data analysis technique uses the t-test. The results of the research showed that the average pretest score for the experimental class was 30,4 while the control class was 31,0. And the results of the post-test score for the ability to understand concepts for experimental class students were 83,3 while those for the control class were 67,9. Based on the results of post-test data analysis with a significance value (2-tailed) 0.001 <0.05. So it can be concluded that learning using active learning strategies based on the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education approach has an effect on increasing students' understanding of concepts.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of using augmented reality (AR) based teaching aids on elementary school students' math learning outcomes. Augmented reality technology offers an innovative solution by providing a clearer and more real visualization of mathematical concepts, as well as creating a more interactive and interesting learning experience. The design used in this research is pre-experimental design. The design type used in this research is one group pretest-posttest. This research was conducted at SDN Palrejo 1 Sumobito Jombang with the population used in this study were all fourth grade students totaling 33 students. The sample used was the entire population (saturated sampling). Data collection techniques using tests, namely pretest and posttest and data analyzed using the SPSS application. Data analysis using paired simple t test. The results of the data analysis that have been analyzed, namely it is known that the value of Sig. (2- tailed) of 0.000>0.05, it can be concluded that there is a difference in student learning outcomes between before and after being given treatment using augmented reality-based teaching aids. The results showed that the use of AR-based teaching aids significantly improved students' math learning outcomes. In addition, students' acceptance of the use of AR technology in learning mathematics is also very positive. The conclusion of this study is that the use of augmented reality-based teaching aids can be an effective learning method in improving elementary school students' mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims at the development of wordwall-based numeracy questions on algebra content. Numeracy is one of the provisions in the independent curriculum which is currently widely applied in schools. Students' ability to solve numeracy problems can be known by using evaluation tools. Wordwall is one form of innovation that can be used as an evaluation tool. Wordwall itself can be accessed via laptop or smartphone. The type of research used in this study is a type of development research with the Plomp model. This study used 33 students as research subjects. The results of this development research are in the form of wordwall-based numeracy question products that are tested very valid (97%), very practical (86.29%) and effective (88%). The resulting product is in the form of 20 numeracy questions

Abstract

This study aims to develop geometry questions based on the AKM Framework using the socio-cultural context of Sidoarjo. The development method includes needs analysis, question design, expert validation, field trials, and product revision. As a result, 10 geometry questions were developed using batik motifs and temple structures in Sidoarjo as contexts. These questions demonstrated high internal validity (average 0.78-0.89) and external validity ( ). The internal reliability score was 0.764, and the external reliability was 0.979. A total of 83.3% of students scored above 76, indicating the questions' effectiveness in enhancing interest and understanding of geometry. The use of local socio-cultural elements made the learning process more meaningful and contextual, thus effectively improving the quality of mathematics education.

Abstract

Currently, the development of science and technology is increasingly advanced and has penetrated into various fields of life, including education. Science and technology is expected to be a solution to various learning problems faced by students and educators. One of the math learning media software that can be used is geogebra. The purpose of this study is to describe the process of developing learning media assisted by geogebra software on integer material and to determine the results of developing learning media assisted by geogebra software on integer material. This research uses a research and development model developed by Lee and Owens (2004), namely ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The learning media trial was conducted in class VII-A and VII-B SMP PGRI 16 Sidoarjo on May 30, 2024. The results of the assessment on the learning media validation sheet obtained a total average of 0.91 which indicates a very high category. So it can be concluded that the learning media assisted by geogebra software on integer material is valid. The results of observations of learning implementation obtained a percentage of 85.42% which shows learning media in the Practical category. While the results of the usage response questionnaire show a percentage of 72.25%, this figure means that the students' response is in the Moderate category and shows that the learning media is in the Ineffective category.
