Abstract

This research is aimed to describe the improvement of student learning outcomes on integrated thematic learning using Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The type of research is Classroom Action Research with qualitative and quantitative approach. The research was conducted in the first semester of academic year 2018/2019. The research subjects were teachers and students, the number of students was 18 people. The research data obtained from observation, a test, and untest. The research procedure is planning, execution, observation, and reflection. Result of research from RPP I average value 85,23% (B), cycle II average value 97,73% (SB). The teacher cycle I aspect averages 82,82% (B), cycle II the average value of 96,88% (SB). Student Aspects of the first cycle of the average score of 81,25% (B), cycle II the average value of 96,88% (SB). Result of learning cycle I average value of 72,78, cycle II mean value 86,94. Concluded Problem Based Learning (PBL) model can improve student learning outcomes. Keywords: integrated thematic learning, Problem Based Learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPS di kelas V di SD Gugus 2 Kecamatan Banuhampu Kabupaten Agam pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis eksperimen dan desain penelitian quasi eksperimen. Pengambilan data sampel dilakukan dengan Simple Random Sampling. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 44orang, dengan jumlah populasi sebanyak 147 orang. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh t hitung > t tabel yakni 6,3345 > 1,68195 dengan α=0,05 berarti Ho ditolak, sehingga Ha diterima yaitu terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) terhadap hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS di kelas V di SDN Gugus 2 Kecamatan Banuhampu Kabupaten Agam.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research is to improve the learning outcome from the student in social science knowledge which using ARIAS model at fourth grade student from elementary school of 06 Piai Tangah Padang City. The subject at this research is the student from elementary school of 06 Piai Tangah Padang City. The data from this research obtainable from the result of observation on the action from the student. The results of each cycle are: (a) The result of the research indicated that there was an improvement on the lesson plan from 82% to 92,8% . (b) the teacher aspects increased from 82,1% to 92,8%). The student aspects increased from 80,3% to 92,8%. (c) The learning score increased from 74,5% to 86,1%. Thus, the ARIAS model can improve student learning outcomes in social science knowledge fourth grade student from elementary school of 06 Piai Tangah Padang City. Abstract

ABSTRACT Diky Wahyudi, 2018. Improvement of Student Learning Outcomes in Running Learners Social Studies Learning Using the Num Bered Heads Together (NHT) Cooperative Learning Model in Class IV of SD Negeri 18 Air Tawar Selatan, Padang City. This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SD Negeri 18 Air Tawar Selatan, Padang City in social studies learning, because teachers have not been optimal in making learning plans, lacking in developing thinking power, and students' creative power. Besides that, teachers lack training in this matter, and also with groups, which affects the low student learning outcomes. The purpose of the study was to describe an increase in student learning outcomes using the NHT model in class IV social studies learning at SD Negeri 18 Air Tawar Selatan, Padang City. This type of research is classroom action research using qualitative and quantitative approaches. The research procedure consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research data consisted of processes and observations in social studies learning with the NHT model of Engineering completing data and tests. This research was conducted in Semester I Academic Year 2018/2019. The research subjects were teachers as observers, researchers as practitioners, and class IV students as many as 20 people consisting of 11 men and 9 women. The results of the study showed: (a) the RPP of the first cycle averaged 76.78% (B), the second cycle 96.42% (A), (b) the implementation on the teacher aspect of the first cycle an average of 72.11% (B) , cycle II 86.53% (A), (c) implementation on aspects of student cycle I average 62.49% (C), and cycle II 86.53% (A), (d) student learning outcomes cycle I an average of 62.49, and the second cycle 86.53. The results of the study using the NHT model can improve student learning outcomes in Social Studies learning in Grade IV SD Negeri 18 Air Tawar Selatan, Padang City.

Abstract

AbstrackThe purpose of this study is to describe theimprovemen of student learning outcomes on learning IPS by using model  Snowball Throwing student the classroom IV SDN 23 VII Koto Sungai Sarik Kab. Padang Pariaman on the student class IV who number 36 students. This research  uses qualitative and quantitative approach. The type of  research in classroom action research student learning outcomes cycle I  70,9 increase to 84,4 in cycle II. Therefore, the Snowball Throwing model can improve student learning outcomes in IPS learning in grade IV SDN 23 VII Koto Sungai Sarik Kab. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe an increase in student learning outcomes in social studies learning using the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) Cooperative Type model in the fifth grade of Elementary School. The approach used in this study is a qualitative and quantitative approach. This research was conducted at 34 Public Elementary Schools in Simpang Haru, Padang City with 34 students consisting of 15 women and 17 male students. The results of the study in cycle I 89.25 (B), increased in cycle II 96.4 (SB), from the aspect of the teacher and aspects of students cycle I 87.5 (B) increased in cycle II 97.5 (SB), learning outcomes students in social studies learning from aspects of attitudes, knowledge and skills in the first cycle of 77.95 were sufficient (C) to increase in cycle II 91,0 (SB)

Abstract

This study aims to describe the students’ intensive reading skill through the use of the SQ3R method in Grade III A of Elementary School Number 23 Marapalam, Padang. This is a classroom action research with qualitative and quantitative approaches. The object of this study is the class teacher and 32 students of Grade III A of Elementary School Number 23 Marapalam, Padang. The findings show that the students’ intensive reading skill increased from 56,48% with 25% completeness percentage in Cycle I Meeting I to 70.12% with 56,25% completeness percentage in Cycle I Meeting II to 87,5% with 75% completeness percentage in Cycle II. The percentage increase from Cycle I to Cycle II is 30.1%. Thus, it is concluded that the SQ3R method can improve the intensive reading skill of Grade III students of Elementary School.                                                Keywords: Intensive Reading Skill; SQ3R Method

Abstract

The objective of this study is to describe the skimming ability by implenting the OK5R method to the 5th grade students of Elementary School No.05 Bandar Buat, Padang. This study is a classroom action research that uses qualitative and quantitative approaches. The object of the study was the teacher and 28 students of 5th grade of State-owned Elementary School No.05 Bandar Buat. The results showed that there is an improvment in students’ reading ability from 74.4 (Enough) with level of mastery of 70.4% in cycle I,  and the result incrased 87.2 (Very good) with 92.9% level of mastery in cycle II. The percentage increase into cycle I to cycle II is 22.5%. Based on these results, it is concluded that the OK5R method can improve the skimming ability of the 5th grade Elementary School students. Keywords: Skimming Ability; OK5R Method

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of cooperative model type Think Pair Share (TPS) on 4th grade student learning outcomes in Elementary School (SD) on tema 2, subtema 1. The research method used was quasi-experimental design with pretest posttest control group design type . This research was conducted at SDN 04 Simalanggang, Kab. 50 Kota. The sampling technique was carried out using simple random sampling technique. Where there are two research samples, namely the control class and the experimental class, each class consists of 24 students. The instrument used in the form of tests and non-tests. The results showed that there was an effect of the TPS type cooperative model on the learning outcomes of grade IV theme 2 students, subtheme 1. This was evidenced by the results of the t-test with a significance level of 0.05 obtained t count> t table (2.87801> 2.01290). Learning outcomes obtained by the experimental class are higher than the control class, shown from the average experimental class of 82.38 and the control class average of 76.79. Keywords: Think Pair Share, learning outcomes.
