Abstract

This research aims to describe the application of the Problem Based Learning model in integrated thematic learning in elementary schools. This research is motivated by several problems. In terms of planning, teachers are not developing the learning model to be used. In terms of implementation, students tend to listen to teacher explanations, student-centered learning is less visible, students are less active and do not develop critical thinking skills in learning. The Problem Based Learning Model is a learning model that involves students actively in learning, so that they can develop critical thinking skills and practice independent learning skills in a problem. The method used in this research uses literature study (library research) through literature review to assess the analysis of various sources used. The data learning technique in this research is the literature study technique, which is carried out by collecting relevant sources with the application of the Problem Based Learning model in integrated thematic learning in primary schools, both from books, articles, and reputable journals. Data analysis in this study uses content analysis method, which is carried out in certain stages to extract the essence of the idea or information which then draws conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the Problem Based Learning model is effectively applied in integrated thematic learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

The study in  the background oflearners not yet involved in the work of the project to promote learning, learners are not active in learning groups and solving problems, creating the work/product to some students have low learning result. The study was intended to describe the impact of the project based learning model on learning toward the results of learning in integrated thematic learning at country fifth grade elementary school cluster 2 Lubuk Kilangan City of Padang. The kind of research is a quantitative in the form quasy experiment design with the non-equivalent control group design. Cluster random sampling technique. The subject of research is a fifth grade elementary school 01 Bandar Buat. Research shows: the average pretest of experimwntal classes that apply learning using the model project based learning is 50,42 and the average study posttest for experimental class testing is 85,76. Whereas the average control class results from learning pretest are 64,4 and the average result of learning after being aynthesized using a conventional approach has a 69,19 posttest average. Based on the results of the hypothesis test done with test t, obtained t’cunt= 6,42>ttable = 2,0096. Thus, project based learning has a significant impact on learning integrated thematic learning at country fifth grade elementary school 01 Bandar Buat.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning implementation plan, teachers in implementing integrated thematic learning and student learning outcomes. This type of research is Classroom Action Research using qualitative and quantitative approaches. The research procedure was preceded by planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Data collection techniques in the form of observation and tests. This research was conducted in Semester I of the 2020/2021 academic year. The research subjects were the teacher as the observer, the researcher as the practitioner, and 12 grade V students consisting of 6 male students and 6 female students. The results of the first cycle research on RPP an average of 75.79% (enough), increased in the second cycle to 92.85% (very good). Implementation of the first cycle in teacher activity on average 75% (enough), increased in the second cycle to 96.42% (very good). The implementation of the first cycle in student activities an average of 71.45% (enough), increased in the second cycle to 96.42% (very good). Student learning outcomes in the first cycle an average of 63.49 (less), increased in the second cycle to 80.40 (good). Thus, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model can improve student learning outcomes in integrated thematic learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the implementation of integrated thematic learning in elementary schools which is less than optimal and has not met expectations. This is because the teacher has not maximally implemented integrated thematic learning, such as not using a learning model, so that students are less active and less interested in learning which causes learning objectives not achieved. The purpose of this study was to describe integrated thematic learning using the Two Stay Two Stray (TS-TS) cooperative model in class IV SDN 08 Padang Besi, Padang City in terms of implementation steps and problems in implementing integrated thematic learning using TS-TS. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects in this study were teachers and fourth grade students of SDN 08 Padang Besi, Padang City. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The data validity technique used was the method and source triangulation technique. The results showed that the steps for implementing integrated thematic learning followed the stages using TS-TS preparation, teacher presentations, group activities, formalization, group evaluation and awards. Problems in the implementation of integrated thematic learning are students who are passive, annoy friends, lack enthusiasm, shame in expressing opinions, divided student focus, classroom management by teachers, effectiveness of time, preparation and depth of material.

Abstract

This research aims to find out what the effect of using the tournament type active learning strategy on learning outcomes of the volume building in the fifth grade elementary school. The method used in this research is a quasi-experimental research design with nonequivalent control group design. The population of this research was all students of the fifth grade elementary school cluster IV, East Padang District, West Sumatera. The technique of collected data was simple random sampling, so elementary school 20 Air Camar was selected as the experiment class and elementary school 17 Parak Karakah as the control class. The instrument of the research was an essay test. The data analysis technique used the t-test. Based on the results of data analysis from hypothesis testing using t-test obtained tcount = 3.60 while ttable at a significant level of 0.05 and dk = 40 is 2.021, so H1 was accepted because tcount > ttable. Thus, there is a significant effect on the type of tournament active learning strategy on learning outcomes of the volume building in the fifth grade elementary school.

Abstract

This study aims to determine he Influence of the Indonesian realictic mathematics education approach (PMRI) on learning outcomes in learning flat circumference and wide shape in class IV of SDN Cluster III  in the sub-district of Payakumbuh of the 2019/2020 accademic year  in the odd semester. This research is a quantitative  study with a type experimental reseacrh quasi- experimental research technique and way of taking the sampel is simple random sampling. The population is 85 paticipant, with a sample of 46 prticipant. Based of the research  yhat has been done, obtained t-count> t-table that 6,22 > 1,68 with α = 0.05 which means that Ho is rejected, so Ha is accepted, it meaning there is an Influence of the the Indonesian realictic mathematics education approach (PMRI)  in Learning wide and flat wake circumference in class IV of SDN Cluster III  in the sub-district of Payakumbuh

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Talking Stick Type Cooperative model on the integrated thematic learning outcomes of grade IV SD 35 Parak Karakah. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with the form of nonequivalent control group design . The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. The sample in this study was grade IV students of SD Negeri 35 Parak Karakah in class IVA as an experimental class and class IVB as a control class, each of which amounted to 20 students. Based on the results of the study obtained an average value of 50.60 experimental class pretest and 52.45 control class. The average posttest score of the experimental class was 76.60 and the control class was 65.50. Based on the results of the hypothesis test analysis at a significance level of 5%, it was obtained tcount> ttable (2.33> 2.024), so it can be concluded that the Cooperative Type Talking Stick model influences the integrated thematic learning outcomes of students in grade IV SD 35 Parak Karakah
