Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze employee performance assessments at the Rectorate of Surabaya State University. This research method uses qualitative with literature review. Data sources are studies of relevant journals and books. Data analysis using content analysis. The results of the research state that by calculating the criteria weights using the fuzzy AHP method, it is hoped that the assessment results will be more objective and accurate, which will then provide a picture of the state of the performance of educational staff which can actually be a reference in developing educational staff which will later support performance at PTNBH State University of Surabaya, output This research is in the form of an international journal.

Abstract

The research used in this research is a quantitative method, the data used is secondary data, namely quarterly financial reports for the 2018-2022 period obtained from the official OJK (Financial Services Authority) website. The population in this study is Sharia Business Units in Indonesia and the sample uses porposive sampling so that there are 3 Sharia Business Units as samples, namely PT Bank Tabungan Negara, PT BPD Yogyakarta, and PT BPD DKI. The data analysis method used is panel data regression analysis for processing research data using the Eviews version 12 statistical test tool. Hypothesis tests carried out are the F test, t test, and the Adjusted coefficient of determination. The results obtained in this research based on partial hypothesis testing are that the problematic financing variable has a significant negative effect on profitability, while liquidity has a significant positive effect on the profitability of sharia business units (UUS) for the 2018-2022 period. Simultaneously (f test) shows that simultaneously the NPF and FDR variables have a significant effect on ROA. This means that NPF and FDR contribute to the profitability of the Sharia Business Unit. The results of the determination test show that the profitability variable is influenced by the problematic financing and liquidity variables by 69.53%, while the remaining 30.47% is influenced by other variables outside this regression equation or variables that were not studied.

Abstract

Empowering women in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) plays a crucial role in achieving inclusive and sustainable economic development. This research focuses on analyzing the social and economic impacts of women's empowerment efforts in the MSME sector. Using of literature review, the study aims to illustrate the contributions of women's empowerment to economic development and social well-being. The research findings indicate that women's empowerment in MSMEs has positive economic impacts by increasing their participation in business activities. The implementation of training and mentoring programs has proven effective in enhancing women's managerial and entrepreneurial skills, contributing to increased family income. Socially, women's empowerment also creates positive effects by enhancing their roles in family decision-making and community involvement. Through a profound understanding of these impacts, this research provides a foundation for the development of more effective empowerment policies and programs. It involves various stakeholders to create an environment that supports the active role of women in MSMEs.

Abstract

Generation Z actively interacts on social media, namely TikTok and Instagram. This is an opportunity for business people to use the services of Instagram celebrities or TikTokers to influence their shopping behavior. The purpose of this review is to draw conclusions about how much influence endorsers have on the online shopping behavior of generation Z. Generation Z spends half of their time on social media. The author tries to review several studies both at home and abroad to draw generalizations regarding the role of endorsers in influencing the online shopping behavior of generation Z. The method used in this review is meta-analysis, which summarizes several studies over the last 10 years regarding the online shopping behavior of the generation. Z is influenced by celebgrams or tiktokers. The results of the review show that generation Z is more influenced by digital marketing, therefore it is advisable for business people to use Instagram celebrities, TikTokers or YouTubers if they want to use celebrity endorsements in their advertising.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology has led to lifestyle changes, demanding humans to balance and adapt quickly. Likewise, for business practitioners, there are many modern marketing techniques emerging and proving effective in attracting consumer interest, tempting business practitioners to utilize them. Such as leveraging the opinions of others using social media to create consumer purchase interest. This research investigates the role of Instagram endorsements in stimulating consumer purchase interest in Somethinc cosmetic products. Attitude scale statements were provided to 105 respondents, who are Instagram users currently, previously, or planning to use Somethinc cosmetics, predominantly women aged 21-25 years old, to determine the extent to which Instagram endorsements play a role in arousing their purchase interest. The analysis method used is simple linear regression. The research results indicate a positive and significant role of Instagram endorsements in stimulating consumer purchase interest. Respondents revealed that the Endorsers' ability to convey product information is the most dominant factor that makes them want to know and seek further information about the products in question, followed by the relevance of the information conveyed, and the credibility of the Endorsers.

Abstract

This research was held at Badan Urusan Logistik (Bulog), PT. Yoga Mandiri Utama, retailers in the (Market) Ciroyom, Caringin, and Astana Anyar in January 2017 to February 2017. The aim of this research is to determine the pattern of the distribution channel and marketing costs of imported buffalo meat of Badan Urusan Logistik (Bulog) in Bandung City. The method of this research is case study. Analysis of data using analysis costs, margins, and profits. Based on the research, it is known that some distribution channel patterns are formed, channel one: Producer - Bulog - Consumers, channels two: Producer - Bulog - PT. Yoga Utama Mandiri - Consumer, channels three: Producer - Bulog - PT.Yoga Mandiri Utama - Wulandari's catering, channels four: Producer - Bulog - PT. Yoga Utama Mandiri - Supplier - Retailers - Consumer. Total costs incurred by each marketing channel patterns is channel one Rp10.670,00 per kilogram, channel two Rp2.840,00 per kilogram, channel three Rp3.740,00 per kilogram, and channel four Rp4.640,00 Rp per kilogram. The amount of profit earned by each of marketing pattern is channels one Rp330,00 per kilogram, channel two Rp Rp2.160,00 per kilogram, channel three Rp4.260,00 per kilogram, and channel four Rp6.360,00 per kilogram

Abstract

Disparities in economic development between regions are a complex and challenging phenomenon in the context of regional development. This article aims to provide a new perspective in analyzing disparities in economic development from a regional perspective, using a literature review method. Through an in-depth review of various literature sources, this article identifies critical factors that cause economic disparities between regions, such as differences in natural resources, infrastructure, and regional economic policies. Apart from that, this article also discusses the impact of economic disparities on overall economic growth. In formulating a new perspective, this article proposes a more holistic and inclusive approach to addressing economic development disparities. This approach involves the critical role of government, the private sector, and society in strengthening cooperation between regions, increasing access to resources, and promoting sustainable and equitable economic growth. This article also identifies several research areas that need further attention, such as analysis of the impact of technology on economic disparities and evaluation of the effectiveness of regional development policies. Thus, this research can significantly contribute to understanding and addressing disparities in economic development between regions and stimulating further discussion in the context of sustainable regional economic development.

Abstract

In a work environment, the presence of risk or unforeseeable events is inevitable, as employees certainly seek to get a sense of security in doing work. Therefore, insurance is responsibility to provide sense of security to employees by providing protection in the form of claim payments to employees who get accidents. To meet the claim payment, insurance companies need to prepare funds. With the chain ladder method, insurance companies can estimate how much funds must be prepared to make claim payments. This study used the secondary data from general insurance companies in the United States published by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners under the title "Statistical Compilation of Annual Statement Information for Property/Casualty Insurance Companies in 2019". Data in the form of cumulative run-off triangle with accident period 2010-2019. Through this calculation, claim reserves that must be prepared by insurance companies for 2020 amounted to USD 1,553,906.

Abstract

Diversity and inclusion policies in human resource (HR) management have become an important topic in the context of modern organizational management. This research aims to investigate the impact of diversity and inclusion policies in HR management on organizational performance. The research method used is a qualitative approach by conducting a literature review to collect information about the concepts of diversity, inclusion, HR management and organizational performance. The results of the analysis show that diversity and inclusion policies in HR management have a positive impact on organizational performance. This happens because the policy encourages the creation of an inclusive work environment, where every individual feels valued and recognized, thereby increasing employee motivation, creativity and productivity. Apart from that, this policy can also improve the company's reputation and attractiveness in the eyes of prospective employees, as well as increase employee satisfaction and loyalty. This research contributes to the understanding of the importance of diversity and inclusion policies in HR management as a strategy to improve organizational performance. Provide recommendations for future research, such as areas that need further research or methodological approaches that can be used to gain a deeper understanding of this topic. Abstract

This book review provides an overview and analysis of a comprehensive examination of Muslim piety and its intersection with the economy in Southeast Asia, specifically focusing on Brunei, Indonesia, and Malaysia. In eleven chapters, contributors from various disciplines including anthropology, politics, history, religious studies, economy, and business offer diverse perspectives on the construction of Muslim piety between Islam and the economy, arguing that Southeast Asian Muslim identities are deeply intertwined with both nationality and religion. Key themes explored include the role of Islamic discourses in addressing corruption, the evolution of Islamic economy during colonial times, the significance of halal certification in Brunei’s economy, advancements in science contributing to the halal industry, and the exploration of modesty in Islamic fashion. Through extensive fieldwork and analysis, the book sheds light on the complexities of navigating the halal industry within Southeast Asian societies. Overall, it offers valuable insights for scholars and students across various disciplines, including politics, anthropology, sociology, and religious studies, while presenting its findings in a clear and accessible manner.
