Abstract

The Schwaner Mountains stretch in the middle. Identification of geological structures that play a role in the formation of metallic mineral deposits is necessary for more efficient mining exploration and exploitation. The Right Bear is a mining site located on a remote hill in the central part of the island of Kalimantan. This study aims to determine the condition of geological structure and the influence of geological structure on the distribution of copper mineralization at the research site. In this study, surface data was collected in the form of lithological description data and data on the structure of bridles and veins in rocks. The equipment used is a geological compass, a geological hammer, GPS, a magnifier, and others. In general, the stratigraphy of the research area is divided into 3 rock units that can be seen on the geological map, in order from old to young, namely the lithology of the Sandstone Unit, the Dacitic Tuf Unit, the Andesite Unit, and the Quartz Sand Deposit Unit. The mineralization of the Right Bear area consists mainly of high Cu sulfide mineralization. It is related to copper mineralization. Associated mineralization is generally controlled by bridle and fault structures. Mineralization is hosted by volcanic and volcaniclastic rocks in the research area, especially in the middle and southeast of the research area. The geometry of a vein with a width of > 1 cm is called a vein, if it is < 1 cm wide it is called a vein and if it is < 1 mm it is called a vein cord. These veins generally have the direction NNE SSW, NE-SW, NW-SE and WNW-ESE.

Abstract

Among the challenges faced by conventional banks is the provision of banking services that can compete with digital banks. Mobile banking is one of the banking services in the form of an application that can be a tool to compete through the development of relevant, attractive, and effective features or services to meet customer needs. People have a habit of giving gifts to each other adopting the value of the spirit of giving in social life, especially at special moments. Digital gifts are a new trend to be able to send gifts to each other without the need to meet face-to-face. The development of digital gift services in mobile banking is the result of observing customer needs using the Design Thinking stage to obtain solutions to these problems. The addition of gamification elements to the development of digital gift services is expected to increase customer engagement and increase customer retention. The data collection method is in the form of a survey of customers. This research is a qualitative research that describes the needs of customers for digital gift services. This research was conducted from January to May 2024. The respondents of this study are customers who have been actively using mobile banking.

Abstract

Technological developments have had a major impact on education, especially in increasing the effectiveness of the learning process. Infographics are one of the innovative and technology-based learning media, which combines information with interesting visual elements. This study analyzes various literature to examine the influence of the use of infographics in learning on students' learning interests. The results of the study show that infographics can increase students' interest in learning by presenting information visually, making it easier to understand, and making the material more interesting. Infographics also help students remember information, increase engagement, and support independent learning. In addition, infographics are easily accessible and shared digitally, making it easier for students to repeat the material. Research shows that students are more focused and motivated when using visual media compared to conventional lecture methods. Therefore, the use of infographics as a medium of learning can be used as an effective strategy for overcoming various obstacles in learning activities and resulting in an improvement in the quality of education. Educators are advised to utilize infographics in their learning strategies to achieve more optimal results. In conclusion, infographics are an effective tool to make learning more interactive and interesting and to increase students' interest in learning.

Abstract

The high level of competition in the banking and non-bank industries makes banks have to continue to adapt in business to provide products and services to their consumers. Although the company recorded an encouraging performance and was able to maintain its position as a market leader, Bank BRI needed a business strategy to remain leading in revenue growth. This research aims to design a business dominance strategy and market share in the banking industry at BRI banks through a Dual Business approach that integrates ecosystem services (Hyperlocal Ecosystem) to increase competitiveness. The method used in this case study is qualitative descriptive with observation and in-depth interviews. The researcher conducted internal and external influence analysis using Porter's Five Forces Approach, Strategic Group Analysis, Value Chain Analysis, and Building Block Analysis to determine the positioning. In this study, the presence of a community-based business framework (hyperlocal business) is expected to add value-added banking services and increase revenue for BRI banks to be able to compete in the open banking industry. Based on the analysis of building blocks, the competitive strategy carried out by Bank BRI is differentiation where Bank BRI has the advantage of customer base as the main raw material in the community map, product quality, and innovation that cannot be imitated by its competitors.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of digital marketing strategies in increasing public perception of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) of Indonesia. As an important institution in national economic stability, DJBC has a dual role as a collector of state revenue, a trade facilitator, and an industry supporter. However, public trust in the DJBC has been affected by various negative factors. To improve its brand image, DJBC launched the "Makin Baik" campaign which utilizes digital marketing techniques. The study examines the impact of three main components: brand campaign effectiveness, digital content quality, and posting frequency consistency on public perception. A mixed method was used in this study, combining qualitative case studies and quantitative surveys. The results showed a significant increase in public trust from 45% in 2022 to 60% in 2023, due to the increase in DJBC's digital engagement and content strategy. Additionally, social media analytics showed an increase in engagement and follower counts, signaling the campaign's success in attracting public attention. Despite this, DJBC still faces challenges in overcoming negative stigma and ensuring a sustainable digital communication strategy. This research contributes to the understanding of optimizing brand engagement for government institutions through digital marketing.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between financial distress and earnings management among non-financial firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2018–2022. The research employs a quantitative approach using the modified Jones model to measure discretionary accruals, with leverage, firm size, and profitability included as control variables. The findings reveal that profitability has the strongest positive influence on earnings management, indicating that firms with higher profitability are more likely to manipulate earnings to enhance financial results and meet market expectations. Conversely, leverage demonstrates a significant negative effect, suggesting that firms with higher debt levels are less likely to engage in earnings manipulation due to increased creditor scrutiny and financial discipline. Meanwhile, financial distress and firm size have minimal impacts, with their coefficients showing no significant influence on discretionary accruals. These results highlight the importance of profitability and leverage as key drivers of earnings management while suggesting that financial distress and firm size play lesser roles in this context. The study acknowledges limitations, including its focus on non-financial firms in Indonesia, a five-year observation period, and the exclusion of additional factors like governance and macroeconomic conditions. Future research could address these limitations by expanding the dataset, incorporating more variables, and exploring other emerging markets.

Abstract

The monitoring and coordination of Hajj participants pose significant challenges, especially in ensuring their safety and managing their mobility efficiently. This research focuses on the development and implementation of a web-based system that integrates GPS and Internet of Things (IoT) technology to monitor the real-time location of Hajj participants. The system leverages GPS to track participant locations accurately, enhancing safety and optimizing participant mobility management. IoT devices are integrated into the system to collect data related to participants' locations and conditions, which are then transmitted to a secure server for seamless access through the web platform. The system's design emphasizes providing an intuitive user interface, making it easier for administrators to manage, coordinate, and respond to participant needs effectively. The web-based platform offers structured and user-friendly data visualization through features like interactive maps and condition dashboards. These tools enable rapid decision-making, improved logistical arrangements, and effective participant coordination. This study highlights the importance of secure and stable IoT configurations to ensure continuous data updates and accessibility under various conditions. The findings demonstrate that the integration of GPS and IoT with a cloud-based platform significantly enhances the management of Hajj participants, providing a robust and scalable solution for real-time monitoring, efficient coordination, and improved safety. The proposed system contributes to advancing technological solutions in large-scale religious gatherings, offering practical implications for future applications in similar contexts.
