Abstract

This study examined the effects of professionalism, workload, and organizational climate on employee productivity at the Secretariat of the Kupang City Regional House of Representatives (DPRD). A quantitative associative-causal research design was employed to test the relationships among the variables. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation from all 97 employees using a saturated sampling technique. Multiple linear regression analysis was applied to examine the partial and simultaneous effects of the independent variables on productivity. The findings revealed that professionalism (β = 0.144; p = 0.008), workload (β = 0.238; p = 0.001), and organizational climate (β = 0.651; p < 0.001) each had a positive and significant effect on employee productivity. Simultaneously, the three variables also significantly influenced productivity (F = 365.582; p < 0.001). The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.922) indicated that 92.2% of the variance in productivity was explained by the three predictors, demonstrating a very strong relationship. Organizational climate emerged as the strongest predictor, highlighting its critical role in enhancing employee performance within the public sector. These findings suggest that managers in regional legislative secretariats and other government institutions should prioritize strengthening organizational climate through effective leadership, trust, open communication, and organizational support while continuously improving employee professionalism and maintaining balanced workload management. Implementing these strategies is expected to enhance productivity, strengthen organizational performance, improve the quality and accountability of public services, and support the achievement of organizational goals in government institutions through sustainable human resource management practices.

Abstract

Abstract

The need for reliable alternative sources of electricity continues to increase, especially in areas that are not yet reached by PLN's network and in renewable energy systems based on solar panels and batteries. Inverters play a key role in such systems because they convert DC voltage into AC that household appliances need. This study aims to design and test a simple inverter circuit capable of converting 12 Volt DC voltage into 220 Volt AC voltage. The inverter was designed using a 12V battery source, D313 transistor as an electronic switching component, and a center tap transformer as a step-up transformer. The research method used was an experimental method through stages of circuit design, assembly, testing, and analysis of inverter performance using LED lamp loads of 5 Watt, 10 Watt, and 15 Watt. Parameters measured included input voltage, input current, output voltage, output current, and output frequency. The test results showed that the inverter was able to produce AC output voltages of 219 Volt, 216 Volt, and 211 Volt respectively with frequencies close to 50 Hz. The increase in load caused a slight decrease in output voltage and frequency due to increased current and power losses in the circuit. Overall, the inverter succeeded in converting 12 Volt DC into AC voltage close to household electricity standards and was stable enough for light electrical loads.

Abstract

Abstract

Coastal areas are dynamic transition zones, experiencing continuous physical changes due to the interaction between natural processes and anthropogenic activities. As a coastal area on the north coast of Java, Cirebon City faces serious challenges related to shoreline dynamics influenced by sedimentation, abrasion, infrastructure development, and land use changes. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of shoreline change in Cirebon City during the period 2010–2025 using Geographic Information System (GIS) technology and remote sensing. This study applied a mixed-method approach that integrates spatial quantitative analysis and qualitative descriptive analysis. Multitemporal satellite imagery from Landsat 7 (2010 and 2015) and Sentinel-2 (2020 and 2025) was processed using the Normalized Difference Water Index (NDWI) algorithm to extract shoreline positions. Furthermore, the Digital Shoreline Analysis System (DSAS) method with End Point Rate (EPR) calculations was applied to determine the rate and spatial distribution of abrasion and accretion. The results of the study indicate that the Cirebon City coastline experienced significant spatial changes during the 15 years of observation, with accretion processes dominating most coastal segments. The average rate of shoreline change reached 5.66 meters/year, with the highest accretion rate of 40.95 meters/year and maximum abrasion of -4.63 meters/year. The most prominent changes occurred in Lemahwungkuk District, primarily due to sedimentation processes and anthropogenic activities such as coastal reclamation and port development. These findings confirm that the integration of GIS, remote sensing, and field observations provides an effective approach to monitoring shoreline dynamics and supporting sustainable coastal management planning in urban areas.
