Abstract

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in higher education is transforming learning processes and requires students to develop adequate AI literacy to effectively engage with AI-mediated learning environments. However, limited research has examined how AI literacy contributes to the development of higher-order thinking skills through student engagement mechanisms. This study aims to investigate the role of AI literacy in enhancing critical thinking and logical reasoning, with multidimensional student engagement behavioral, cognitive, and social engagement as mediating variables. A quantitative research design was employed using a structural equation modeling (SEM) approach to analyze the relationships among the proposed constructs. The findings reveal that AI literacy significantly influences students’ behavioral, cognitive, and social engagement in learning activities. Furthermore, the three dimensions of engagement significantly contribute to the development of higher-order thinking skills, with cognitive engagement showing the strongest effect. The results also indicate that AI literacy has a direct and significant impact on both critical thinking and logical reasoning. These findings suggest that AI literacy functions as an enabling capability that supports deeper learning processes through increased student engagement. This study contributes to the literature by providing empirical evidence of the mechanism through which AI literacy promotes higher-order thinking in AI-supported educational environments and highlights the importance of integrating AI literacy development into higher education curricula.

Abstract

This study presents a systematic approach to measuring supply chain performance using the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) model-based Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Increasing global competition and post-pandemic supply chain disruptions have made performance measurement a critical priority for organizations seeking operational excellence. Despite the widespread adoption of the SCOR model, existing literature reveals significant gaps in its application within emerging economies and sector-specific contexts. This research employs a quantitative descriptive methodology, drawing on data from 120 respondents representing procurement, logistics, and operations functions across manufacturing firms. Using the five SCOR dimensions—Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, and Return—a total of 25 KPIs were assessed through structured surveys and validated through confirmatory factor analysis. Results indicate that the Deliver and Source dimensions record the lowest performance scores, signaling critical bottlenecks in distribution networks and supplier management. The study also reveals that organizations with integrated digital monitoring systems outperform traditional counterparts in three out of five SCOR dimensions. Findings contribute both theoretically, by extending the SCOR framework to manufacturing contexts in developing regions, and practically, by offering a diagnostic KPI dashboard for supply chain managers. This research underscores the urgency of evidence-based performance measurement as a foundation for supply chain resilience and sustainable competitive advantage.

Abstract

This literature study examines the effect of mechanical control of Plant Disrupting Organisms (OPT) on sugarcane cultivation (Saccharum officinarum L.), particularly its impact on sugar yield and stem quality. The mechanical control methods discussed include manual weeding, klenthek (cutting old leaves), pruning/roaming of pest-infested areas, and the use of traps (pheromones, lamps, nets). The results of the study showed that weed weeding greatly improved the light penetration and photosynthesis efficiency of sugarcane plants (as heavy weeds such as Ipomoea triloba can cover the crown up to 100% and inhibit photosynthesis. Periodic weeding results in better stem growth – greater stem height and diameter – compared to without weeding. The klenthek technique accelerates the hardening of the bark of the stem and stimulates the growth of sugarcane stalks so that the plant is sturdier. Mechanical control of pests such as stem borers (with roges and pheromone traps) and larval retrieval in the field prevent physical damage to the plant, so that photosynthesis, sucrose accumulation, and the strength of sugarcane stalks remain optimal. Finally, mechanical control of OPT has been shown to be positively correlated with an increase in sugar yield and Pol/Brix levels: for example uncontrolled weeds can reduce stem production by up to 25% and reduce yield significantly, while every 1% of segment damage due to stem borer pests can reduce sugarcane yields by 0.5%. Therefore, mechanical management of OPT is essential to improve crop yields and sugarcane quality. The report summarizes findings from various national scientific journals, reports of agricultural institutions, and related technical guidelines.

Abstract

Abstract

The development of information technology has encouraged the government to innovate public services through the implementation of e-government, one of which is the Digital Population Identity (Identitas Kependudukan Digital/IKD) by the Cirebon Regency Population and Civil Registration Office (Dinas Kependudukan dan Pencatatan Sipil). IKD was implemented as an effort to transform digital-based population administration services to be more practical, fast, and efficient. However, the implementation of IKD still faces several obstacles, such as low public understanding of digital technology, inadequate socialization, limited internet access, and technical difficulties during the activation and use of the application. Some people also still prefer physical documents, as these are considered easier to use. This study aims to analyze the implementation of IKD in public services in Cirebon Regency, identify the obstacles faced, and determine the role of IKD in improving the quality of public services. The study employed a qualitative method using interview and document analysis techniques. The research informants were community members who use the IKD application. The results showed that IKD makes it easier for the public to access population administration services digitally. IKD is considered practical and efficient and is able to reduce the need for people to come directly to service offices. Although there were obstacles in the initial stages of use, assistance from officers helped the community understand how to use the IKD application.

Abstract

Assurance of halal integrity along the supply chain carries major economic and religious weight in Indonesia, yet conventional traceability relies on centralized databases and paper certificates that are difficult to verify, easy to tamper with, and fragmented across the many actors between farm and consumer. This study designs and evaluates HalalChain, a permissioned-blockchain and smart-contract traceability framework that records each custody transfer on a shared, tamper-evident ledger and encodes halal certification rules as executable logic. Using a design science methodology, supply-chain actors participate as permissioned nodes on Hyperledger Fabric, bulky documents are stored off chain with only their cryptographic hashes on chain, and consumers verify authenticity by scanning a code; the framework was compared against a centralized-database baseline across throughput and latency, scalability, traceability completeness and time to trace, and security and trust, complemented by a structured expert assessment. The evaluation indicates that the permissioned blockchain strengthens traceability and trust, yielding a more complete, verifiable history, faster tracing, and demonstrated tamper-evidence and access control, while keeping performance within practical bounds through the on-chain/off-chain design. The framework provides a deployable reference architecture linking blockchain traceability to halal certification governance, transferable to other provenance-critical chains. A permissioned blockchain can improve halal traceability and trust at an acceptable performance cost.
