Abstract

This study aims to explore Abu Zaid Al-Balkhi's psychotherapy in the perspective of Qur'anic values relevant to mental health. The background of this research focuses on the urgency of mental health which has a significant impact on the quality of life of individuals. The research method used a combined quantitative and qualitative approach with an in-depth literature study of Al-Balkhi's main work, Mashâlih al-Abdân wa al-Anfus. The results showed that the Qur'an provides a description of the condition of the human soul, both in a normal state and mental disorders such as fear, evil thoughts, anxiety, and despair. The psychotherapeutic solutions offered by Al-Balkhi include strengthening faith, worship, and ethics integrated with Qur'anic values. The research conclusion confirms that Al-Balkhi's concept of psychotherapy is relevant to current mental health needs and provides practical guidance in maintaining physical, mental, spiritual and social well-being. This psychotherapy can contribute to the development of productive human resources through a holistic and humanist approach.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the advantages and disadvantages of using foreign workers in company X. The research method used was qualitative research. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, documentation, and interviews with 10 sources consisting of officials and workers in the company, both foreign and local workers. The research data that had been collected was then analyzed in depth. The results of the study showed that the use of foreign workers had several advantages and disadvantages. The advantages are that foreign workers who have the skills needed by the company, have broad insight to come up with new ideas as company innovations and increase the company's value in front of both national and international clients. While the disadvantages are that the use of a single workforce requires high costs, cultural and language differences create a difficult level of adaptation, cause a lot of unemployment in the country, and regulatory changes that do not cause companies to be alert to various regulatory changes regarding the use of foreign workers in their companies. Therefore, the use of foreign workers must be carried out wisely according to the company's capabilities and needs while still considering the quality of domestic workers.

Abstract

There are several things that are considered to have an influence on work productivity in the district government, including job specifications, work period and job placement. However, this has not been explained in more depth. Therefore, researchers are encouraged to conduct research on the influence of job specifications, work period, and job placement on work productivity in the X district government. The purpose of this study is to determine whether or not there is an influence of job specifications, work period, and job placement on work productivity in the X district government. The research method used is qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation, where interviews were conducted with 10 employees in the X district government. The research data that has been collected will be analyzed in depth to determine the results of the study. The results of the study indicate that clear job specifications, work period and appropriate job placement according to employee abilities can increase employee work productivity in the X district government positively and significantly. With this, the government should carry out clear job specifications considering the work period and employee abilities in carrying out work placement so that work productivity increases and organizational goals can be achieved effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

Financial distress is a critical issue affecting companies, particularly in the infrastructure, utility, and transportation sectors, which require substantial capital investment. Various factors, including profitability, liquidity, and leverage, influence financial distress, while company size may play a moderating role. Understanding these factors is crucial for corporate decision-makers and investors to mitigate risks and enhance financial stability. This reseach aims to analyze the effect of profitability, liquidity, and leverage on financial distress, with company size as a moderating variable in infrastructure, utility, and transportation firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2019 to 2023. The research adopts a quantitative approach, utilizing secondary data obtained from audited financial statements of 30 selected companies over five years (2019–2023), resulting in 150 observations. The study employs SmartPLS version 4 for data analysis, including descriptive statistical tests, measurement model evaluations, and hypothesis testing through bootstrapping. The findings reveal that profitability and liquidity have a significant positive effect on financial distress, while leverage has a significant negative effect. Furthermore, company size moderates the relationship between liquidity and financial distress but does not moderate the effects of profitability and leverage on financial distress. The research concludes that effective financial management, particularly in maintaining profitability and liquidity, is essential in reducing financial distress. Additionally, company size plays a critical role in strengthening liquidity's impact on financial distress. These findings provide theoretical contributions to financial literature and practical implications for corporate financial management and investment decision-making.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of macroeconomic indicators on non-performing financing in Islamic banking with Mudharabah, Musyarakah, and Murabahah contracts. This research uses a quantitative approach with the VAR/VECM method. The research data covers the years 2015 - 2018 and includes all Islamic banks in Indonesia. The research results indicate that the macroeconomic indicators that influence and determine non-performing financing, based on Impulse Response Function (IRF) and Forecast Error Variance Decomposition (FEVD) tests, are as follows: for Mudharabah financing, Inflation, Industrial Production Index, and Exchange Rate according to IRF, and Inflation and Exchange Rate according to FEVD; for Musyarakah financing, Money Supply according to IRF, and Inflation according to FEVD; and for Murabahah financing, Inflation and Money Supply according to IRF, and Industrial Production Index, Exchange Rate, and Money Supply according to FEVD.

Abstract

This research examines the role of cinematic storytelling in building luxury brand identity, focusing on the film Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris and its depiction of the Dior brand. Using Kapferer and Bastien's Luxury Brand Identity Model, this research explores five key dimensions of luxury branding: exclusivity, craftsmanship, dream factor, symbolic value, and cultural dimension. Through a qualitative content analysis of key scenes, dialogue, and visual elements, the study found that the storytelling in the film effectively highlighted Dior's aspirations and exclusivity, despite criticisms of authenticity and over-commercialization. In addition, sentiment analysis of 342 Google reviews showed that the film's narrative elements were able to create emotional resonance, reinforcing the aspirational and exclusive nature of the Dior brand. The findings provide important insights for academics and practitioners on how storytelling strategies can be used to integrate cultural, emotional and symbolic elements in luxury branding, and maintain brand relevance in a competitive global market. This analysis underscores the importance of authentic and relevant narratives in maintaining credibility and consumer trust in luxury brands.

Abstract

Nurse training at Ilaga Regional Hospital aims to improve nurses' quality, but its implementation does not have a significant impact. This must be addressed immediately, because the failure of ineffective, inefficient and irrelevant training to the needs of nurses at Ilaga Regional Hospital can hinder efforts to improve the quality of service at Ilaga Regional Hospital. This study aims to identify training needs at Ilaga Regional Hospital, using quantitative methods of survey data from the Hennesy-Hick’s questionnaire (n = 29, purposive sampling), consisting of 25 questions (five categories). Qualitative methods use semi-structured interview data (n = 14) consisting of 42 questions (organizational analysis, task analysis, personal analysis). Training needs according to education level, agency of origin, age and length of service, namely administration and clinical skills. However, the competency gap is smaller in respondents S1 + Profession, the highest in IRNA, tends to decrease with age. and there is a variation in the gap in each category of length of service. The results of the organizational, task and personal analysis, there is a need for RME training, clinical skills, SOP training, and motivational training.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has significantly impacted various fields, including law, particularly in employment agreements. A key innovation is using electronic signatures, which enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of drafting legal documents. However, in Indonesia, the implementation of electronic signatures faces challenges such as regulatory issues, technical barriers, and societal acceptance. This study analyzes the validity of electronic signatures in employment agreements under Government Regulation Number 35 of 2021 and Law Number 1 of 2024 concerning the Criminal Code. Using a normative juridical approach, the research examines electronic signatures' compliance with contract law principles and the legal validity outlined in Law Number 11 of 2008 on Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE Law). The findings confirm that electronic signatures are legally recognized if they meet the criteria in Articles 5 and 11 of the ITE Law. Government Regulation Number 35 of 2021 and Law Number 1 of 2024 further support the legality of electronically signed employment agreements. However, challenges remain, such as low digital literacy and inadequate digital infrastructure. To overcome these, the study recommends improving digital literacy, strengthening data security, and enhancing regulations to support electronic signature adoption in employment agreements, ensuring their effective use in the digital era.

Abstract

Occupational fatigue is a common issue in various industries, particularly in the construction sector, which is characterized by high occupational risks. This study aims to identify the risk factors contributing to occupational fatigue among construction workers and propose strategies to mitigate these risks. The research employs a systematic literature review method following PRISMA guidelines. The literature search was conducted using Google Scholar, PubMed, and ScienceDirect with keywords such as “Occupational Fatigue,” “Work Fatigue,” “Construction Worker,” “Risk Factor,” and “Construction,” covering publications from 2014 to 2024. Articles were selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria to ensure relevance. The review of 12 selected articles identified several key risk factors associated with occupational fatigue, including job complexity, work stress, psychological health conditions, age, tenure, work climate, workload, and unsafe working conditions. Additionally, a negative work climate, excessive workload, and hazardous work environments were found to be major contributors to workplace fatigue. The findings indicate that addressing these risk factors is essential for improving worker safety and well-being. Implementing targeted interventions, such as workload management, stress reduction programs, and improvements in occupational health and safety standards, can significantly reduce fatigue levels among construction workers. These measures can also enhance productivity and overall job satisfaction in the construction industry.

Abstract

Academic stress can affect a student's psychological well-being, but college-life balance can play a role in mitigating the impact. This study aims to analyze the influence of academic stress on the psychological well-being of students in Jakarta, by considering the life-college balance as a moderation variable. A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design was used in this study, which involved 300 students in Jakarta. Data were obtained through questionnaires that measured academic stress (using the Academic Stress Scale / ASS), Work-Life Balance Scale (WLBS), and psychological well-being (Ryff's Psychological Well-Being Scale / RPWBS). Multiple linear regression analysis was applied to test the relationship between variables. The results showed a negative relationship between academic stress and students' psychological well-being, which was consistent with previous research. In addition, college-life balance was shown to moderate the effects of academic stress, where students who had a better college-life balance experienced a lower negative impact on their psychological well-being. These findings have significant implications for higher education policy, which needs to provide support programs to help students manage academic stress and improve their college-life balance. This research also opens up space for further research on other factors that can affect the psychological well-being of students.
