Abstract

Local wisdom represents unique knowledge and practices held by specific communities, passed down through generations. This study explores the local wisdom in the Mepum Sadimop fairy tale of the Ketengban Tribe in Pegunungan Bintang Regency, Papua. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, this descriptive research employs interviews, data grouping, and translation to analyze cultural phenomena. Findings reveal that the Mepum Sadimop fairy tale encapsulates local knowledge (e.g., tools, materials, and natural resources), cultural values (e.g., kinship, cooperation, and honesty), and traditional practices (e.g., stone-burning ceremonies and the use of Balapu attire). These elements embody the tribe's identity, social norms, and survival strategies. This study not only preserves the oral tradition but also underscores its relevance in promoting cultural education and sustainable community development. By documenting these traditions, this research contributes to safeguarding intangible cultural heritage and inspires further interdisciplinary studies on indigenous knowledge system.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of mobile technology and artificial intelligence (AI) has brought about significant changes in the way social communication is carried out throughout Indonesia. Although this technology has a significant positive impact, challenges related to ethical regulations, especially in terms of protecting personal data safety, taste and clarity, are a matter of concern. This research seeks to understand the ethical regulations and their implementation that must be carried out so that this communication technology does not harm society. This research reviews the application of regulatory ethics in the field of mobile applications and AI using the theories of ambiguity, negative morality, fairness, and vulnerability. Methods include a literature review of updated peer-reviewed articles as well as data points and statistics from secondary articles on how past applications of Mobile-AI changed Indonesia's social communication patterns. The findings show that current regulations are not effective at protecting user privacy; therefore, the study concludes by recommending stricter policy planning on the use of AI technology to engage and instill public trust.

Abstract

This research uses quantitative bibliometric analysis and qualitative content analysis of 30 studies indexed by Scopus. This research provides a complete picture of trends and progress in environmental education for children studying in primary school. The bibliometric study, conducted from 2019 to 2024, mapped trends, leading authors, and dominant research topics using VOS Viewer software. This research aims to increase stakeholders' attention to outdoor experiences and learning. Hands-on ecological education in nature, cooking experiences, and incorporating ecological topics into language teaching are common pedagogical techniques found in content analysis. Meanwhile, problems such as lack of resources, teacher preparation, and mismatch between outdoor and classroom activities hinder effective implementation. This study also shows that environmental education benefits students' environmental awareness and pro-environmental behavior by emphasizing the importance of greater resources, increasing teacher support, and incorporating sustainability goals into the curriculum.

Knowing about the elements of traditional elements is essential because it can inspire modern design, allowing for innovation while respecting cultural roots. One of the traditional Indonesian woven fabrics that has the potential to be developed and the elements of tradition are known is the Sidan Weaving fabric. Sidan weaving is one of the products made by the indigenous people of the Dayak Iban tribe who come from Kapuas Hulu Regency, West Kalimantan Province. Therefore, the analysis of traditional elements in Sidan woven fabrics of the Endo Segadok weaving group in Menua Sadap Village was carried out to find out a more thorough understanding of Sidan woven fabric products, both in terms of visuals and meanings, so that every detail can be interpreted as part of a valuable cultural heritage and know the potential that can be developed. Data collection was carried out using observation, interview, and literature study methods, then analysis was carried out using the ATOMICS method. The results of the study stated that the results of the analysis of Sidan woven fabrics using the ATUMICS method showed that starting from the production process as a whole, it maintained and revived cultural traditions that had been passed down from generation to generation.  Each element of the traditional element not only reflects aesthetics, but also contains a deep symbolic meaning related to the customs, beliefs, and cultural values of the local people.

Abstract

This research explores the influence of self-efficacy and mental toughness on the peak performance of U-16 football athletes from KONI Bekasi City. The research addresses the problem of inconsistent performance among young athletes, often attributed to a lack of psychological readiness, such as confidence and resilience. The objective of this study is to examine the extent to which these psychological factors contribute to peak performance. Using a quantitative research method, data were collected from 21 athletes aged 12–16 years through Likert-scale instruments tailored to measure self-efficacy, mental toughness, and peak performance. The results reveal significant positive correlations: self-efficacy influences peak performance with a correlation of r = 0.943, while mental toughness has a correlation of r = 0.940. Together, these factors explain 97% of the variance in peak performance (r = 0.985). This research highlights the critical role of self-efficacy and mental toughness in optimizing athletic performance, emphasizing the need for early psychological development in athletes. The findings provide valuable insights for coaches and sports institutions to design training programs that enhance both mental and physical preparation.

Abstract

Football requires more player skills compared to other sports, where players must perform well, handle pressure during the game, have sufficient stamina, and have strong resilience. The key aspects of this sort include basic techniques consisting of ball dribbling skills, passing, heading, throwing, and so on. Dribbling is the most important skill among many basic skills because it is the most frequently used technique during a match. Dribbling involves controlling the ball while moving, and this technique helps create space for shooting. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of speed and agility training on dribbling skills among extracurricular student at SMA Negeri 1 Berau. This research method is a quantitative Quasi-Experimental design. Data were collected using a nonequivalent pretest-posttest group design technique based on Bobby Charlton’s football dribbling test. The first stage of the design is to establish two experimental groups. The second stage is conducting an identical pretest for related groups. Then, both experimental groups are given two treatments, namely speed training variations and agility training variations. After that, both experimental groups are given the same posttest. The research result showed that the t-value (8.323) was greater than the t-table (2.201) with a determination coefficient of 14,9%. Thus, speed and agility training variations affect dribbling skills in football among extracurricular students at SMA Negeri 1 Berau.

Abstract

The research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Green Youth Movement (GYM) program in increasing Generation Z's participation in environmental issues. Although Generation Z shows a high awareness of environmental problems, their participation in conservation activities remains relatively low. The research methods used include Focus Group Discussions (FGD), interviews, and analysis of activity reports to gather qualitative information regarding the motivations, perceptions, and experiences of participants. The results indicate a gap between awareness and actual actions, as well as the importance of transparency and accountability in programs involving Generation Z. Additionally, the use of social media as a communication tool and information dissemination has proven effective in reaching a young audience. The recommendations produced include the need to create interactive platforms for Generation Z's involvement in program planning, as well as conducting regular evaluations and adaptations of communication strategies. This research is expected to make a significant contribution to the development of more inclusive and responsive environmental policies that align with the aspirations of Indonesia's youth.
