Abstract

Even though a thesis is an important scientific work produced by students in higher education, the innovative ideas and solutions from the thesis often do not receive follow-up or a platform for real implementation. It is estimated that more than 100,000 undergraduate graduates in information technology (IT) each year have the potential to produce innovative IT solutions through their thesis. To overcome these problems, this research proposeoks developing a collaborative thesis platform based on cloud computing. This platform aims to be a forum for students to realise innovative and quality ideas from their theses. The platform will facilitate collaboration between students and parties who need IT solutions and provide incentive income opportunities for the students involved. By leveraging cloud computing, the platform offers quick and easy access to necessary resources without worrying about local server maintenance. It is hoped that this platform can encourage the development of innovative and quality IT solutions by utilizing ideas from the thesis. The platform has the potential to increase IT graduates' contribution to information technology development, open up incentive income opportunities for students, and facilitate student-industry collaboration in producing IT solutions relevant to real needs.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the impact of the CR, DER and ROA on stock prices of companies in the property and real estate sector listed on the IDX during the 2018-2023 period. The data used in this research were collected through documentation methods by accessing the companies' annual financial reports published on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Using multiple linear regression analysis, the study found that the current ratio and debt-to-equity ratio do not have a significant impact on stock prices. On the other hand, return on assets was found to have a significant impact on stock prices. The results of this study indicate that investors pay more attention to the profitability of companies, as reflected in the return on assets, rather than liquidity or capital structure when determining stock values in the property and real estate sector.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the impact of social assistance on the community in Bendaroto Village, Munjungan District, Trenggalek Regency. The focus of this research is to understand the type of social assistance received, the economic and social impacts felt by the community, and the problems faced during the implementation of the program, Such problems include administrative issues and inequities in disbursement that result in delays in aid disbursement, which reduces aid effectiveness and hampers financial planning. The research methods used include surveys and interviews. The survey results showed that the majority of respondents received direct cash assistance (BLT) and food assistance, with 60% reporting an increase in purchasing power and 45% experiencing an increase in food consumption. Significant social impacts were also seen from the reduction of financial burden for 70% of respondents and the increase in productive motivation for 50% of respondents. However, significant problems were also identified, such as uneven distribution of aid (55%), delays in distribution (60%), and lack of information regarding aid (45%). These findings show that although social assistance contributes positively to economic and social well-being, there are weaknesses in implementation that need to be improved. Recommendations to increase the effectiveness of social assistance include improvements in the distribution system, increased transparency, and better counseling on the use of assistance. This research provides important insights for the development of social assistance policies that are more effective and responsive to the needs of the community

Abstract

The Qur'an Education Park (TPA) plays an important role in improving children's education in the surrounding environment by providing facilities for learning to read and write the Quran, reading short prayers, and other positive activities. However, the criteria for scholarship recipients at TPA Anak Sholeh are still unclear, even though the provision of this scholarship aims to motivate students to be more active in learning and excelling. This study aims to determine more specific criteria for scholarship recipients, such as attendance, achievements, home conditions, and parents' income. Another objective is to validate and improve the accuracy of the K-Means Clustering model used in grouping the data of prospective scholarship recipients into three categories: accepted, considered, and rejected. The research method used is the K-Means Clustering algorithm. Algorithm performance evaluation is carried out through metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, f-measure, and cross-validation. Testing was carried out on TPA student data as many as 80 student data. The results of the grouping using 3 clusters were obtained as many as 46 students received C1 scores, C2 scores were rejected by 12 students and C3 scores were considered for 22 students. The determination of the centroid distance has an effect on the value of the cluster results when conducting the scholarship attribute collateralization.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of acceptance of LGBT people in Thailand on the development of LGBT social movements in Indonesia, as well as identify the challenges faced by LGBT people in Indonesia. Using the New Social Movement and Network Social Movement approaches, this research explores the role of social networks and the cultural, religious, and traditional factors that influence public acceptance of LGBT people in both countries. A qualitative method with a descriptive approach was used to analyze secondary data obtained from various sources, including official documents, books, scientific journals, and previous research reports. The results show that LGBT acceptance in Thailand, influenced by cultural values and Buddhism, has created a more inclusive environment for LGBT people. More inclusive policies, such as anti-discrimination laws, as well as positive representations of LGBT people in the media and popular culture in Thailand, triggered the emergence of social movements supporting LGBT rights in Southeast Asia, including in Indonesia. However, in Indonesia, LGBT social movements face greater challenges due to the strong cultural and religious traditions of conservative Islam. As a result, it has been difficult for LGBT social movements to gain widespread acceptance, and discrimination and stigma against LGBT people remain strong. Nonetheless, the positive influence of Thailand helps motivate LGBT activists in Indonesia to continue fighting for their rights through advocacy, campaigns and public education.

Participants were selected through purposive sampling technique, with the inclusion criteria of overseas students who live a frugal lifestyle.  Primary data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations, while secondary data were obtained from supporting documents and literature. Data analysis was conducted by interpreting the results of interviews and observations to understand the application of frugal living and its implications for identity and intercultural communication patterns. The validity of the research was maintained by selecting the right participants and reaching the information saturation point. The results show that frugal living is not just a financial management strategy, but also reflects the values of simplicity, sustainability, and responsibility. The frugal identity that is formed affects the way students interact with the surrounding environment, strengthens their sense of independence and responsibility, and is recognized as a wise individual in managing finances.
