Abstract

Piper sarmentosum known as Kaduk in Malaysia is a climbing herb with long runners comes from the family of Piperacaeae. Piper sarmentosum has been traditionally used in culinary and alternative medicines in different parts of the world to cure many diseases and ailments. Thus, this study aims to screen antioxidant activity of P. sarmentosum based on the leaf maturity, from young, middle-matured and matured leaf. First and foremost, the leaf will be extracted in 70% methanol and the antioxidant activity was determined by using Ferric Reducing Antioxidant Power (FRAP) assay. Result showed that the young leaves contain the highest antioxidant activity rather than middle-matured and matured leaves. Hence, if P. sarmentosum’s leaves are to be collected for its antioxidant properties, it is best to harvest the young leaves to gain the optimized yield of antioxidant properties.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the types of code mixing and the factors that cause code mixing. The data in this study are the types of code mixing Inter Sentential Code Mixing and Inter Lexical Code Mixing. The source of the data in this study was the PUBG Mobile e-sport tournament video with the title "PMPL SEA FINALS SEASON 2" taken from the research location of the PUBG MOBILE INDONESIA Youtube channel. This research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques in this study used observing (simak) and note-taking (catat) techniques. In addition, the data analysis technique in this study uses theory from Hoffman (1991) and Jendra (2007). The result of this study is that the use of code mixing by the caster found Inter Sentential Code Mixing in the form of phrases and clauses. Then, the type of Inter Lexical Code Mixing code mixing is found in the form of words. The factors found in this study: (1) the language factor, (2) the speech participant factor, and (3) the purpose of the conversation factor.

Abstract

This study analyzes the issue of disease diagnosis delay in healthcare quality management using data mining methods. The aim is to understand the relationship between several key variables and diagnosis delay for various diseases. The study focuses on the variables of Age, Symptom Duration, Physician Experience, and Diagnosis Delay. Advanced data mining methods are employed to predict and prevent disease diagnosis delays. The results of this study present the findings from the analysis of the collected dataset. The dataset consists of patient information, including attributes such as Patient ID, Age, Symptom Duration, Physician Experience, Diagnosis Delay, and Treatment Initiation. Each attribute plays a crucial role in understanding and predicting diagnosis delay. The approach using linear regression yields coefficients [0.03260123, 0.24605912, 0.01765057, 1.09631713], indicating the influence of each variable on Diagnosis Delay. The Mean Squared Error (MSE) value of 0.7926 signifies the model's ability to predict Diagnosis Delay accurately. The scatter plot illustrates the linear relationship between actual Diagnosis Delay and predicted Diagnosis Delay. The Pearson's Correlation Coefficient of 0.5222 indicates a moderate positive correlation between the two. However, the residual plot indicates a tendency for underestimation of Diagnosis Delay for higher values.

Abstract

Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) are a prevalent condition that affects computer users with poor posture. Office workers are affected because they utilize computers to enter data, write letters, send emails, organize meetings, and communicate with coworkers and clients. Workers in the services sector use computers, phones, work documents, and stationery to communicate with consumers. To assess the level of discomfort for WRMSDs among desk job workers and the association with workstation design. 108 people took the online CMDQ, and 27 were chosen to assess the ROSA based on their scores. Upper back (13.9%), lower back (12.0%), and hip/buttocks (10.2%) reported the most discomfort. 26 (96.3%) participants were high-risk for ROSA and 3.7% were low risk. The result of the association showed that there was no association between the level of discomfort and workstation design. Each body part showed to have a p-value>0.05 associated with workstation design. Those with desk jobs in the telecommunication industry reported feeling the most discomfort in their upper back, lower back, and hip/buttock. The result of grand ROSA showed participants having a high risk of ROSA which required a further assessment. However, there was no significant association between the level of discomfort and workstation design. The finding of ROSA does not relate directly to the bad equipment in the workplace reported by the workers but rather to the improvement of worker’s posture, optimizing its use and findings can support the result of this study.

The primarily motive of the study was to investigate the awareness level of respondents regarding the regulatory framework of E-Commerce. The present study was exploratory research by the means of primary data analysis wherein an attempt was made to identify the awareness level of respondents regarding regulatory framework of e-commerce with the help of self structured questionnaire. The questionnaire was based on the five point Likert scale ranging from not at all aware to completely aware and the convenience sampling was used to collect the data from respondents (250) residence of Punjab and Union Territory of Chandigarh. Further, chi square technique was used to test the null hypothesis as whether there was significant relationship between regulatory framework, gender and monthly income attributes. It was observed that female respondents were more aware as compared to male respondents regarding the regulatory framework of e-commerce. On the basis of monthly income attribute, 15000-30000 income group’s respondents were not aware regarding the regulatory framework of e-commerce but in the next income group ranging from 50000-75000 were aware about the regulatory framework of the e-commerce.
