Abstract

This study aims to determine the positioning of Kebon Simbah Hydroponics in Surakarta City. This study used 36 respondents who prescribed purposive sampling. The research data were analyzed using multidimensional scaling (MDS) analysis. The results showed that the direct competitors of Kebon Simbah Hydroponics were Valefarm Hydroponics and Vegetable Hydroponics 04. Kebon Simbah Hydroponics based on positioning is in second place because Kebon Simbah Hydroponics has two advantages, namely price and service to consumers. The first place is occupied by Valefarm hydroponics because there are three advantages, namely taste, product quality and product availability, the third or last position is occupied by Vegetable Hydroponics 04 because Vegetable 04 hydroponics only has one advantage, namely in product packaging.

Abstract

Antibacterial is a substance that can inhibit or kill the growth of bacteria. One of the plants that can be used for antibacterial is spinach thorns. Spinach (Amaranthus spinosus Linn.) is a plant originating from the tropical lowlands of America, widely distributed in the tropics and subtropics of Africa, Southeast Asia and in India and even in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine the activity of spinach leaves (Amaranthus spinosus Linn.) on inhibiting the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria by maceration method. This study uses an experimental method. Spinach leaves (Amaranthus spinosus Linn.) were macerated using 70% ethanol solvent. The concentrations used for each method were concentrations of 30%, 40%, 50%, ciprofloxacin positive control and 1% DMSO negative control. Each of these concentrations was tested for antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus using the diffusion and dilution method. The results of the antibacterial activity test by diffusion in the maceration method obtained an average inhibition zone result at a concentration of 30% of 8.73mm, a concentration of 40% of 9.93mm, a concentration of 50% of 11.53mm and a positive control of 12.73mm.

Abstract

Stress at work’ is a concept which there are lots of potential causes of stress in a working environment that can affect the productivity of a worker. Traffic congestion is a condition in transport that is characterised by slower speeds, longer trip times, and increased vehicular queueing. The experience of workers during traffic congestion before attending work could induce stress towards them, hence being assessed in this study. This study aims to assess the relationship between traffic congestion and work productivity. This study was conducted among a total sample of 133 individual workers in Kuala Lumpur which are prone to road traffic congestion in city areas. Raw data were collected in an online standardized survey. Data analysis was done using Microsoft Excel and SPSS using multiple hypotheses testing formula including ANOVA test, Linear Regression Analysis and Correlation Analysis. The findings of this study concluded that the data from all of the tests show consistent results which there is significant relationship between Stress at Work (p-value <0.05) and Road Traffic Congestion (p-value <0.05), but Work Productivity (p-value >0.05) shows insignificance towards the two variables. Therefore, it can be concluded that road traffic congestion causes stress to workers in Kuala Lumpur, but the stress induced from road traffic congestion does not hinder their productivity at work.

Enterprise managers must know and evaluate sales data through reports on all branchesA trading business that has a department store, so it is essential to assess the sales trade. This sales evaluation knowledge system is necessary to promote store leadership in the deals evaluation strategy, which aims to aid the administration's decision-making process. The dealing data is evaluated using a clustering model to find a group of products selling well, especially in demand and not selling well. The algorithm used in clustering is by using K-Means. The sample data used is sales transaction data of 122 sales transaction data. Based on the results of the Davies Bouldin, it was found that the number of clusters with the best performance was 4 clusters with a Davies Blouldin value of -0.371. This analysis results in the sales data evaluation information system using the clustering model as an instrument for store managers to evaluate deals data at all department stores. The result of this method can be caused by the supervision as data in the decision-making method.
