Abstract

Poverty and economic injustice are classic problems that have never been resolved, especially after the outbreak of Covid-19. The economic burden of low-income communities really needs government assistance in economic recovery. Social assistance in the form of Direct Cash Assistance (BLT), BIP scholarships and educational operational assistance cannot actually solve this problem. The role of private financial institutions, both Islamic banks and non-Islamic banking institutions, has contributed to national economic growth and reduced the poverty rate, which is 16% of the national figure. Islamic finance is an alternative solution to problems in increasing economic growth and increasing the fairness of economic distribution to low-income people. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods, with the aim of developing strategies for Islamic finance and social justice for the community to provide economic improvements for the community. Abstract

The key to the success of a bank in carrying out its functions is the bank that carries out a management in managing funds. Public funds or third party funds kept in banks are the largest sources of funds that banks rely on the most and consist of 3 types, namely demand deposits, deposits and savings. Apart from Third Party Funds (DPK), banking economic growth is influenced by interest rates. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of profit sharing and bonuses (return) on third party funds, to determine the effect of the BI 7-Day (Reverse) Repo Rate as a moderating variable, and to determine the effect of profit sharing and bonuses (return) and BI 7-Day (Reverse) Repo Rate as a moderating variable for third party funds at PT. Bank Syariah Indonesia for the 2016-2021 period. The research that the writer uses is a research with a quantitative approach. The data analysis technique used in this study is to use simple linear regression analysis with hypothesis testing, namely the coefficient of determination, T test and F test. Before using simple regression analysis, the classical assumption test is performed first which includes normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test and autocorrelation test. Based on the results of the moderated regression analysis test which shows that profit sharing and bonuses (return) have an effect on third party funds. In addition, the BI 7-Day (Reverse) Repo Rate is also able to moderate profit sharing and bonuses (return) with third party funds. Which means the BI 7-Day (Reverse) Repo Rate strengthens the relationship between profit sharing and bonuses (return) with third party funds.

Abstract

The presence of Islamic banks that use a profit sharing system, in realitybetween banks based on sharia and banks with conventional principles aresimilar, only differing in terms of terms, namely conventional banks use an interest system and sharia with profit sharing. The mudharabah contract implemented in Islamic banks has changed and is not like the initial concept in fiqh which was based on justice, but in Sharia banks, in its application, if there is a loss, it will be borne by the borrower. This research will explain in detail the application of mudharabah theoretically and in reality as it actually occurs using a literature review research model. The results of this research are concerns about losses that will be borne by the banking sector as the owner of the funds. Meanwhile, customers are not charged losses if the business they run does not experience a profit.

Abstract

Sharia banks were developed based on the desire to provide financial transaction services that are in line with moral values and principles of Islamic law amidst the proliferation of conventional banks which are synonymous with usury, maisir and gharar. The initial presence of sharia banking is expected to be the main solution for financial facilities and poverty alleviation without compromising sharia principles. The sharia banking system continues to develop, especially in Indonesia, although it seems to be slower than other countries. The idea of sharia banking began to emerge in 1990 with the implementation of a workshop by the MUI (Indonesian Ulema Council). Subsequently, it was legalized in 1992 with the issuance of Law No. 7 of 1992 which was then deregulated in 1998 with explicit provisions regarding the permissibility of the dual banking system. The full existence of sharia banking was recognized after the passing of Law no. 21 of 2008 concerning sharia banking which specifically regulates institutions and business activities and the codification of banking products. Based on the OJK (Financial Services Authority) report in quantity, sharia banking has increased with the number of banks consisting of 13 BUS, 21 UUS and 166 BPRS. Sharia banking has also experienced a downward trend in its development. This is because the operational system of Islamic banks still adopts the conventional banking system with the characteristics of still prioritizing profit orientation and still referring to interest rates. The development of sharia banks must also be supported by competent and professional HR (human resources), commitment to 100% implementation of sharia principles, and also responsive marketing that is able to grow public trust in sharia banks.
