Abstract

The waste problem requires a multidimensional approach, especially in processing and sorting at the source, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals of achieving zero waste in the future. The waste bank program has been introduced to support waste reduction and the circular economy, but public interest in recycled products remains low. Banten Province, one of the five provinces with the highest waste tonnage in Indonesia in 2022, showed interest of only 19.3%. This study aims to identify the factors influencing public purchase intention of recycled products, with product trust as a mediating variable. Through online questionnaires and data analysis using SEM PLS, involving 158 respondents in Banten Province, it was found that environmental consciousness, environmental concern, perceived value, and perceived risk significantly influence the purchase intention of recycled products. Additionally, these factors also significantly affect product trust. Mediation analysis shows that product trust can mediate the relationship between environmental consciousness and environmental concern with purchase intention, but it is not optimal in mediating the impact of perceived value and perceived risk. Recommendations for environmental activists in Banten Province include increasing the credibility and clarity of information regarding recycled products, as well as ensuring the cleanliness and safety of these products to directly enhance public purchase intention and support the circular economy in Banten Province.

Abstract

Work-life balance issues are an important aspect of the psychology of happiness, which is determined by a strong sense of self-worth, satisfaction, and a variety of life-affirming relationships. This study aims to explore how dual role conflicts affect employee performance in the Manpower Office (Disnaker) in Indonesia, by considering the role of work-life balance (WLB) and work stress as mediator variables. The research method used involved collecting data from 154 employees in the disnaker through questionnaires and interviews. The data was then analyzed using statistical analysis techniques to identify the relationship between multiple role conflicts, WLB, work stress, and employee performance. The results showed that dual role conflict had a significant effect on WLB and work stress, but did not affect employee performance levels. Meanwhile, work stress and WLB cannot mediate the dual role with performance. This research provides important insights for human resource management in government agencies to develop policies and programs that support the balance between work and personal life of employees. An emphasis on managing multiple role conflicts and work stress in the work environment can improve employee well-being as well as the overall effectiveness of the organization. The practical implications of this study are the importance of appropriate interventions to improve the working conditions of employees in the public sector, while improving quality public services.

Abstract

In the context of toxic business competition, this research investigates the legal protection of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia, particularly in partnerships with large corporations. The primary emphasis is on the implementation of Law Number 5 of 1999, which prohibits monopolistic practices and unfair business competition, and Law Number 20 of 2008, which pertains to small and medium-sized enterprises. Data was collected from literature studies, pertinent regulations, and in-depth interviews with relevant stakeholders using a qualitative approach and a case study design. The research results show that although the legal framework already exists, effective implementation still requires improvement. MSMEs face various challenges in partnerships with large companies, including access to resources and greater risks in business transactions. Recommendations are prepared to strengthen legal protection through regulatory revisions, strengthening legal institutions, legal education, developing partnerships, and stricter law enforcement. The main aim is to increase fairness in business relations between MSMEs and large companies, as well as support inclusive and sustainable economic growth in Indonesia. It is hoped that the implications of this research can provide a positive contribution in renewing policies that support the development of MSMEs as the backbone of the national economy.

Abstract

This study investigates how corruption, financial access, and gender affect tax compliance. 52 nations' worth of World Bank Survey data from 2019 to 2023 are used in this analysis. This investigation's results demonstrate that corruption positively impacts tax compliance. The second conclusion is that money availability improves tax compliance. The conclusion is that tax compliance has no benefit from having female senior managers. The keys to increasing tax compliance are avoiding dishonest behavior, paying taxes cooperatively, and allowing businesses to obtain financing. Our study incorporates the gender of firm managers, access to financing, and corruption into a model to forecast how enterprises will comply.
