Abstract

Business-to-business (B2B) services in the consulting industry form the foundation of interactions between clients and consultants. The quality of services provided by construction engineering consultants is a primary concern for clients, particularly in light of recurring complaints stemming from service quality that fails to meet expectations. In response to these issues, this study was conducted to enhance the quality of services offered by construction engineering consultants, with the aim of meeting client expectations and improving overall satisfaction. This research employs the SERVPERF (Service Performance), Importance–Performance Analysis (IPA), and Quality Function Deployment (QFD) methods to formulate technical recommendations for service quality improvement. The SERVPERF method is used to evaluate service performance based on client perceptions, the IPA method is applied to identify the Voice of the Customer, and the QFD method serves to translate client needs and expectations into technical specifications that can be implemented by consultants. The study identified and assessed 20 service quality attributes across six dimensions—Tangibles, Assurance, Reliability, Responsiveness, Empathy, and Flexibility—highlighting the alignment between performance satisfaction and client priorities. Among these, 10 attributes were found to be most significant and representative of the Voice of the Customer. The study proposes three priority recommendations improve service quality: (1) implementation of project KPI evaluation dashboards, comprehensive progress reporting, daily client service updates; (2) automation of numerical and qualitative testing for technical documents, aligned with classification standards, tagging systems, standard operating procedures, templates technical guidelines; (3) deployment of a notification system to inform stakeholders of project progress and status changes.

Abstract

In the coal mining industry, the conveyor system is a vital component in ensuring the smooth distribution of coal from the stockpile to barges at the terminal port. PT X, one of the leading coal mining companies in Indonesia, faces challenges regarding the sustainability of conveyor operations, particularly in spare part procurement. Dependence on specific suppliers without continuous evaluation can pose risks such as delivery delays, price fluctuations, and operational downtime, which affect the company’s productivity. This study aims to develop a supplier selection model for spare parts at the Coal Terminal Port of PT X using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) methods. AHP is employed to determine the priority weights of criteria based on expert assessments through pairwise comparisons, while TOPSIS is used to rank suppliers based on their relative closeness to the ideal solution. The AHP results indicate that the highest weighted criteria are Quality (35,59%), Services (29.59%), Delivery (15,93%), Cost (12,98%), and Profile (5,91%), while the top sub-criteria are Specification (19,30%), Certification (16,28%), followed by After-Sales Service (15,63%) and Warranty (13,97%) with a consistency ratio < 0,1. Supplier S1 ranks the highest with a preference value of 0,8837. Furthermore, to ensure the robustness of the TOPSIS ranking results, a sensitivity analysis was conducted by increasing or decreasing weights by 1%, and the top-ranked supplier remained unchanged. Thus, the TOPSIS method in this study is proven to be robust.

Abstract

This study tested the effectiveness of the Bird's Eye View (BEV) technique in documentaries themed on anthropogenic marine environmental damage to improve the quality of visual narrative and audience spatial perception. Using a mixed methods approach with a quasi-experimental design (Posttest-Only Control Group Design), 40 students of Universitas Padjadjaran participated, divided into an experimental group (watching a movie with BEV) and a control group (without BEV). Data collection was carried out through a Likert scale questionnaire and interviews, then analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U test. Results showed significant differences (p=0.014 < 0.05) between the two groups, where the experimental group showed better quality of visual narrative and spatial perception. These findings confirm the effectiveness of BEV techniques in communicating the scale and complexity of environmental issues visually and spatially. This research contributes to the development of documentary film narratives and environmental communication literature, with practical implications for filmmakers to utilize BEVs to enhance the visual impact and spatial perception of audiences in environmental education.

Abstract

The increase in public awareness of environmental issues in recent years has prompted many companies to implement green marketing as part of their marketing strategy. Jago Coffee, as one of the pioneers in  the café-on-wheels concept  in Indonesia, uses an eco-friendly marketing strategy through collaboration with the environmental organization Bumiterra for forest reforestation in Borneo. The increasingly fierce competition in the coffee industry makes this research necessary to find out how Attitude to Green marketing and price perception affect  Jago Coffee's Brand Image, as well as its impact on  consumer Purchase Intention. The underlying theory of this research is the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). This study uses a quantitative method with survey techniques and involves 170 respondents who were selected through purposive sampling techniques. Data analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to test the relationships between variables. Validity and reliability tests using Cronbach's Alpha and Composite Reliability are used to ensure that the instruments used are valid and reliable. The results of the study show that both Attitude to Green Marketing and Price Perception have a significant effect on Brand Image, and Brand Image has the strongest influence on Purchase Intention. Although these two variables also have a direct effect on Purchase Intention, they become stronger when mediated by Brand Image. Interestingly, Price Perception shows a weaker direct influence on Purchase Intention, indicating that cheap prices alone are not enough to drive purchases in the absence of a strong brand image.

Abstract

The automotive manufacturing industry in Indonesia plays an important role in driving national industrial growth, with vehicle production exceeding one million units annually and the automotive industry itself contributing 7.63% to GDP and employing around 1.5 million people. PT Mawar Manufaktur (PT MM), as a manufacturer and supplier of automotive components, plays a significant role within this ecosystem. However, amid the intensifying competition in the automotive industry, PT MM faces challenges in enhancing its competitiveness. The current performance management system remains fragmented and primarily focuses on financial and core operational aspects. This study proposes a redesigned Performance Management System (PMS) using the Knowledge-Based Performance Management System (KBPMS) framework. This performance management system combines strategic alignment, interdepartmental integration, and the inclusion of key performance indicators (KPIs) consisting of financial and non-financial indicators. The new PMS is expected to enhance the company's flexibility and competitiveness. The research methodology includes a combination of qualitative and quantitative techniques, such as interviews, literature reviews, external and internal analyses, and the application of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The outcome of this study is a comprehensive PMS tailored to the strategic needs and operational context of PT MM. This enables the company to adapt to industry developments, particularly the growing relevance of electric vehicles (EVs), and to sustain long-term growth.

Abstract

The problem of waste in urban areas such as Depok City requires effective and efficient management solutions to reduce the burden on the final processing site (TPA). The Waste Management Unit (UPS) is one of the strategies of the Depok City Government in handling region-based domestic waste. This study aims to evaluate the technical performance of UPS operating in several locations in Depok City, as well as identify potential for improvement in processing efficiency. The mixed-methods approach is used through the collection of primary and secondary data. Quantitatively, load count analysis and daily mass balance were carried out to analyze the flow of material from input to compost output. Qualitatively, direct observation, semi-structural interviews, and work system studies were carried out. Case studies on three UPS (Jalan Jawa, Sukatani, and Merdeka 1) showed that the proportion of organic waste dominated (more than 94%) with a decrease in mass of up to 74% after the composting process. Nevertheless, the efficiency of the process varies depending on the sorting mechanism, available equipment, and human resource capacity. The results of the analysis show that UPS's performance has not been fully optimal in reducing the burden of waste to the landfill. This study recommends improving operational management, strengthening institutions, and integrating community roles to achieve a sustainable regional waste management system.

Abstract

This study is conducted to develop a structured approach for selecting the most viable pricing strategy for Vaccine T packaging transformation from ampoules to prefilled syringes (PFS), which is a tetanus-diphtheria vaccine produced by PT BPharmaceutical. The packaging innovation is intended to improve dosage accuracy, reduce contamination risks, and align with market trends. To overcome this challenge, this study uses the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to evaluate and assess the selection of the most suitable pricing strategy based on key financial considerations.  The research employs both qualitative and quantitative methods and is grounded in both primary and secondary data. Internal interviews, FGD, and a questionnaire were conducted with the company’s stakeholders to identify relevant pricing criteria, SWOT analysis, and possible strategy alternatives. External and internal analyses were also performed through PESTEL, Porter’s Five Forces, STP, demand forecasting, and SWOT-TOWS matrix to identify the decision-making environment. Based on these inputs, three strategic alternatives were formulated: Skimming, Penetration, and Strategic. These alternatives were then assessed using AHP based on three main criteria: price changes, average cost per unit, and cost recovery. Price changes have two sub-criteria: average yearly price increase and average gross profit margin, while cost recovery has three sub-criteria: NPV, IRR, and PBP. The result from the AHP analysis indicated that the Strategic pricing strategy is the most viable option, with the highest score of 0.029. An implementation roadmap has also been developed to ensure the strategic execution of this pricing decision.
